Artists of the Apocalypse hosts Community events for the Fallout Fandom; currently Sketchy Saturday and Pictures from the Publick.
:: Sketchy Saturday ::
Sketchy Saturday is a weekly event @solesurvivorpaigeargot originated on August 1st, 2020, opening up their askbox to the community at large to do free requests every weekend-- but that kind of work takes a toll, and they weren’t able to keep at it alone for long... Thankfully, they didn’t have to! Other artists volunteered to help out; filling in with Guest Artist Weekends and spreading joy in a year when a lot of us haven’t had near enough to smile about. Sketchy Saturday is now a collaborative event, where multiple artists may work together to do the requests on a voluntary basis.
Sketchy Saturday will always be free to participate in, and open to all fans of Fallout; both those who love the canon characters we met in the games, and those who have new friends for us to meet in the form of OCs!

PFTP is currently taking a break until February 1st! We’ll be taking this time off to re-work the contest. What’s changing?
New Leadership: Loor [ @solesurvivorpaigeargot ] will be stepping away from this project, and Nyx [ @trashkingnyx ] will be stepping up as the new project manager for PFTP.
Longer entry windows: we’ve gotten feedback from multiple creators who wanted to participate with us, but simply needed more time to come up with a composition and execute on it. With this in mind, Pictures From the Publick will be shifting into a monthly schedule instead of bi-weekly.

Burnout, Extension, and Suspension
Hey all, sorry for the lack of communication on the overnight. Loor here.
Last night I, personally, hit a serious wall and realized that I am burnt out. I’ll be making a bigger blog post about it on my personal page in the future, when I got it all more sorted out, but the long and short of it is AoTA will be suspending operations after this Sketchy Weekend to give me the time and space I need to recover, AND to catch up on all the previous commitments I owe to various people since LAST JULY, which I am certain are a big part of my burnout.
I’m sorry this happened so suddenly. I thought I was okay, and then all at once I wasn’t. I apologize to everyone for the disruption, both volunteers and participants. I know it sucks to get hype for a thing, and then something goes wrong. BUT! By taking the time to pause and re-organize, we’ll be able to come back and deliver a better event for everyone.
We are extending this week’s event, because I did not want to let go of all these cute requests. Too many of these asks are bloody adorable, and if we are going to PAUSE Sketchy Saturday for a hot minute? I see no reason not to let this one run long and slow.

Hello friends! Very nice shippy prompt this weekend! I like flowers and so does Kittin.
I'd love a sketch of my darlings Kittin and Danse. Lovers, nerds and unseparable two-person-army.
Kittin likes flowers a lot and she enjoys to pick flowers. Her favourite wasteland flower is hubflower (before the war it was lilacs and lily of the valley) and Danse knows this so he picks some for her from time to time.
Danse once said that he liked lureweed because it glows beautiful, so Kittin picks those for him sometimes. He thinks she's a bit mad for doing so of course, since it's a pretty risky flower to pick. (There's also a hidden meaning here with 'a light in the darkness'.)
Lastly we have thistle. It grows a few close to Red Rocket and Danse went and picked some for their first "official" date post BB.
