We’re stoked to feature and chat with Chicago based multidisciplinary artist Floyd A. Davis who will be creating a one-of-a-kind immersive, multimedia experience that will combine sculpture and music into a functional speaker wall for tonight’s Vans House Party in Chicago, featuring The Pac and KAMI. In this interview, we talk with Floyd about his artistic influences, his journey to becoming an artist, and his upcoming installation piece for the Vans House Parties. MAKE THE LEAP!

I made some new friends tonight. I saw a block party happening right out my front window. I figured the bouncy castle full of kids would dig the paper airplane bike I made for Redbull a while back. I was correct. After a couple hours of pushing kids around on the plane I was given a giant plate of homemade carnitas tacos and a few beers.. Great meeting some more neighbors. Really amazing night. installed some tufted sound panels I picked up from a project with @stantonic in a recording booth today.. Always inspiring linking with @add2themc I'm grateful to him for including me in the good he's doing with @guitarsoverguns ..
