Catching the hint, Sikey lets out a blast of colorful energy… Which stops in mid air just before it hits the glitch monster.

Chris sounds frustrated, and his partner terrified.

Ezekiel and Nailah followed along to the glitched up digimon, the keramon growling defensively upon seeing how messed up this being was. he tried his bug blaster a couple of times before it had the same reaction with Sikey's attack. "wë nëëÐ TØ ƒïghT ƒïrë wïTh ƒïrë, mŸ ƒØØl ØüT mØvë wØülÐ §TØp Øür rÅngëÐ ÅTTÅck§ ƒrØm gëTTïng ÐëlÅŸëÐ!" his partner seemed reluctant to do so "N-no just keep using your bug blaster, for all I know it'll make up some kind of messy explosion that might get Chris and I gravely hurt!"

The Final Crest - Open Curtains!

Chris had been exhausted, traveling with Nailah in hopes of finding Hunter, soon giving up any bit of optimism. This simulation is hell. This is it, where it all comes to close - an eternity of terrible beasts, exhaustion, primitive life, and missing teammates.

Though he had adapted a bit. Having made a spear so he could aid Sikey in combat and learning some of the island’s foods was a huge plus. This artificial world felt very real - almost just like the actual thing at times. Keyword: Almost.

However, he had not expected to encounter any more monsters - let alone ones not even the Identifier could recognize. Hearing a loud crunch ahead, he simply had to investigate, discovering a massive beast clearly affected by glitches. One the Indentifier spazzed out on.

This whole time searching for the missing team member made her unsure if it was even worth it. Nailah had to admit that it's rather thrilling to be in this situation then watching it on a reality survival TV. though she couldn't complain, they gave valuable tips to survive in places.. like this. but without the different and possibly hostile monsters living with in it. When she heard Chris called her in a urgent manor, Nailah rushed over to her friend to see whats the problem. but she didn't have to ask when she got there. "oh.. shoot.. C-Chris? buddy? we're not gonna fight this thing right?" she asked in a hushed whisper, slightly hoping that this glitched creature's hearing is messed up as well as it's whole body. "I don't think Sikey or Ezzy could take them on without getting effected too.." Upon looking at his identifier, it was reacting horribly as it tried to read the corrupted being. 'this is really bad, if it's effecting that thing then what would happen to it's surroundings? would things get even worse if Ezzy uses his fool out on this thing?' she thought to herself as she gave Chris a tug on his sleeve "we can try to use ranged attacks on this thing, what do you think?"

"Come on, Max. We’ll take care of him later. Can’t swarm an enemy with only two of you little pixelbeasts," Chris says with clear annoyance, "And Rusty? Stay where you are. Don’t want to go looking for you again, now."

He doesn’t sound the happiest about finding Russ in this condition - or perhaps just finding him again in general. Psychemon is quick to the door, peeking out for just a second.

"Come on, guys! We need to do something and quick! Someone’s coming this way, and I don’t think they want to help get us out of here!”

Nailah came out of the cell and tried to dig something out of her pocket to help defend herself against the opposing mon. she sucked her teeth in detest to find out nothing was inside, guessing probably they took everything she had. “dangit.. alright, Ezzy!” she called out to him as he floated out of the cell to join his partner ” try to use your bug blaster on these guys and depending on how meany there is we could hurt them by shooting the walls and maybe the roof. we really don’t need the place caving down on us, hehe.  ” Ezekiel snicked along with her, somewhat glad that she could still laugh even in a situation like this. the keramon starts to use his bug blaster at the up coming enemies that’s approaching them.

[Russ’s digivice started to glow as Max was engulfed in a brilliant ray of light. Soon he emerged as…]

"… Gururumon, Data Attribute - Scary, hides in shadows, vicious… Specifically noted here that it’s not necessarily evil," Chris reads off from his Digivice, "Well then. Bit weird that they’d note that…"

His partner looks at him expectantly, gesturing to its back. Chris nods, climbing on.

"Come on, Nailie! Let’s ride to battle!"

"WHOA!~" Nailah cried out as she saw Max and Sikey digivolved,"no way!~"she muttered before fumbling to get her digivice out. she motioned her own digivice towards her partner "okay Ezzy! your turn!" she called out as her digivice starts to glow as well. right in the middle when the keramon was about to shoot some more bug  blaster bullets a ray of light engulfed him and evolved him into INFERMON! now instead of firing Bug blaster bullets, he shot spider shooter ones which seem to do more damage then his old move. like a child getting a new gift, she quickly hoped on his back where no spikes is present and pointed at the enemies for Ezekiel could try his new moves on."yeeeeaah!~ now we can kick some serious butt!" she cheered enthusiastically.

Cracking Knuckles is really fun, I even go out of my way to do it to other people.... even Ezekiels and oh my gosh it is so fun!~  there's so many places to crack!~ he just sits there too while I do it, and if I can get at a certain spot I can't get to, he just does it himself then hands his hand back to me~ eee~

Chris looks at the unconscious impmon for a moment in shock… but his look of horror turns to a grin.

This idea works, and it works well, clearly! What could have been a long fight cut short by a bit of unexpected intrusion… and even if the attack did fail, the little thing would have been outnumbered. He chuckles a bit, playing the situation out in his head as if it were a game (Fire Emblem, to be exact) before grabbing Psychemon and rushing out the door.

Ecstatic, he cheers to his other teammates - “Alright, guys! Line up behind me, we’re gonna swarm these things!” he calls out, “Even if they can barely handle the ‘mons, just Nailah and I butting in should be just enough to overwhelm them!”

He proceeds to drop Psychemon and rush just past the team, paying no attention to what’s happening with max, then gesture for the others to follow him. The boy seems really bouncy and excited, even going to the point of laughing and perhaps squirming a bit…

Sometimes, it seems like this kid lives in a world of his own. This is one of those moments.

Nailah looked at Chris then back at Russ then returning her attention to Chris again. she rubbed her head, unknowing how her friend couldn’t see the commotion in the cell your in.  “dude, sorry to bring you down from your victory high but this mystery prisoner we found turned out to be Russ. And by the looks of it, I don’t think he’s capable of even walking.” she said as she motioned her arms at the bloodied man. “I’ll join the fight, but I think we need to find away to keep Russ out of it.” she braced herself just in case Chris anger. she know it wont be towards he, but just in case he tries to hurt Russ more then he is now. Ezekiel had no say on the matter though he was a little resistant to blatantly bum rush their captives, they don’t know how meany there is out there. yes it’s easy to get rid of every enemy there but the risk of friendly fire is kinda high. and he knows he could get reckless when he’s out fighting.

[Russ coughed again, a small trickle of blood leaking down his lips. As they got closer to him, the worse his wounds looked. His knees had huge wounds, that looked as though someone had driven spikes into them, and there were large gashes all down his legs. His hands where tied up behind him with chains. Upon close examination, the cloth around his eyes damp. Max walked up to Russ and gently hugged him, though Russ was shaking trying to get them away]

 N-No…m-m-max? Max please…leave me here…I d-d-don’t deserve *cough* t-to be saved…I r-r-ruined everything…

 Dang it Russ! Please d-don’t be this way! Yer important to me…

[Max held onto his tamer tight, not wanting to let go. Suddenly, there was a shout from down the hall, as the sound of approaching footsteps drew nearer and nearer]

[Max quietly walked in. There was some sort of large figure on the floor. Max approached and]

 …H-Hoss…!?

 M-…Max? I-Is that you? I…I c- *cough* can’t see *cough*

[Russ had multiple scars and cuts all over his face and clothes. His shirt and pants were blood soaked and stained a slight reddish tint. His hands were tied behind his back. Poor Max was horrified. He’s never seen Russ in this state]

 H-Hoss..wh-wh-what happend to ya?? 

 *cough* A-After I left…I encountered with this *cough* red…d-digimon. I wasn’t sure *cough* what his name was…he looked like a red demon *cough* and he aimed to have me around as *cough* something of punching bag for his minions…fitting I guess since *cough* I was the one that put us *cough* in this mess…

[Meanwhile with the impmon, he was caught off guard by Chris’s kick and was knocked into a wall. He slumped down to the ground, unconscious]

the Keramon frowned, sort of wanting to take this one on his own. but at this point there’s no time for pouting over loss of potential food, he hoped that Chris knows what he’s doing and grabbed Nailah’s hand and escaped out the door. while Nailah raised her fist in the air and cheered “Woo! you can do it Sikey!~ FREEDOM!~”

[As they ran outside and down the hall, a distant moaning sound could be heard]

 …Eh? What the heck is that noise? Sounds like it’s comin’ from that hallway over there…is that another prisoner?

Psychemon doesn’t seem too sure of this, but he still distracts the Impmon regardless.

Also notices the moaning from down the hall, she lowers her arms and rubbed the back of her head "aww man they got other peeps stuck in a place too? don't worry Max, we'll help you out." Nailah said as she made it down the hall, she and Ezekiel looked around to see the coast is clear. they didn't want any more guards on their tails. "good Ezzy, brake the cell door. but try not to make too much of an explosion, you don't wanna hurt the person inside." Nailah knocked on the door "hey! who ever is in there try to stay away from the door alright?"

'I blast my partner's music when she's asleep, just to get her to pay attention to me~ <3' on the side says 'I'm not sorry~' and he really isn't. >:(

"Someone’s bound to kill someone else if we do that! I have a better idea," Chris says, "watch and learn…"

He heads up to the door and pounds on it.

"WE BROKE YOUR STUPID CHAINS! GET IN HERE BEFORE WE BLAST THE DOOR DOWN!" He yells, "COME ON SIKE, SHOW ‘EM WE MEAN BUSINESS!"

With that he backs away from the door and points at it, soon to be followed by his partner unleashing as many attacks on it as he can.

"Hear that?" Chris says with a large smile, "It’s the sound of freedom, right around the corner!"
