Daughter (2026), oil on linen by Filip Mirazovic
when someone brings up how dead tumblr has gotten in the past few years but i genuinely went platinum exactly once in my entire life and then never again
🕯️🕯️🕯️ she wants to go to a used book store with me sooooo bad 🕯️🕯️🕯️ she wants to go to the mall with me soooooo bad 🕯️🕯️🕯️ she wants to bake & then eat whatever we bake while watching a horror movie together and snuggling sooooo bad 🕯️🕯️🕯️ she wants to fall asleep in the same bed soooooo bad 🕯️🕯️🕯️
i love paintings of venus/aphrodite because it plainly unveils what the artist considers to be the pinnacle of beauty and that is so powerful in terms of what it says to perspective and someone’s view of humanity and what makes us beautiful to begin with
all of that is to say, my baby would be my private painting of venus if i didn't think of her better as a sculpture, solely because the mere thought of enduring only looking at her rather than cradling and kissing and viewing from every corporeal angle is equally unthinkable as it is unstomachable. the temptation, i think, would be the final blow to kill me. i need my ability to be in contact with her, my hand's ability to hold hers and my lips' ability to touch hers and my voice's ability to call for hers, to be limitless. when i see her, my private sculpture of venus, i need to consume her in every limitless tendency
The Passer-By (Le Passant), ca. 1898 Robert Engels
i love being a freak but i dont want my baby thinking thats all i want her for
i've never been religious in any very personal sense, but i did grow up catholic; sunday school, mass at church, reciting my biblical hymms and kneeling for my first communion in a white dress and veil, asking for the father's forgiveness as i, freshly nine years old and winsomely innocent, strangled out my every last sin inside a confessional.
topic switch. whenever i see her, whether it be photo or video or call or with my own two eyes right in front of me, i have this insatiable urge to take a bite of her, almost; to feel her skin between my teeth, gnaw on her doll-like perfection, devour every gorgeous feature adorning her face and body and being until all of it is bloody and raw and holy like some severe form of cute aggression
tbh it's an urge i often find married to the idea that she is some divine deity sent from the heavens to provide me, an atheist ever since i gained a conscious awareness of what god could be, with my salvation. in her i've finally understood an objective to prayer, an end that justifies the means. she is my divine deity in every sense. i grew up catholic, isn't it the whole notion that you're supposed to eat the blood and flesh of your god? she's the altar cup from which i am to fill my mouth with, the cathedral i will kneel in front of to pray, the corruption which makes me convert convert convert
i grew up catholic. i can strangle my every sin out of me, crying in my white dress and veil, and she would remain the end that justifies my winsome means. if this is all makes me a vicious heretic, it's entirely possible she is only an angel the way lucifier was, which in turn makes me no better than any of the fallen angels that followed him
fuck it we ball i'm in the mood for a yap anyways
Rainlit Evening in Paris by Claudette Monet
she called me today. god i love her voice so much. idk i liken it to being similar to handwriting sometimes, just in a different medium?? it's like the auditory version of one's signature. your own infusion into the world of music. you permeate a space with the sound of your voice and instantly i'm at peace with myself. it's like its own sweet siren song, and i am called to it no less obediently than any mariner in any greek tragedy and no less beguiled than anyone could be if they were listening to a sound so lovely it could be a hymm forged by euterpe herself just for them
though even in all of my comparisons to the holy legends of ancient greek stories, i must confess my appreciation of her is nothing short of heretical and broadly godless. but that's a different conversation
wait i kinda had another thought about her related to religion but two devout posts in one night is a bit much no?

god she is just gorgeous. even when we barely knew each other, i still never viewed her as anything less than beautiful, like a living flower or a majestic bird or an alabaster statue assuming a proud and assured attitude in their curves and slopes and eyes and the way their sculptor must've been so in love with them to carve their jaw as they did, as well as their cheeks, their nose, the protrude of the bones in their neck and the thickness of their thighs or waist or arms.
she's the picture of beauty that i conjure in my mind when someone mentions perfection and she's always been that for me, whether i really knew her or not
fuck i'm pouring my heart out to her
i say shit like this but tbh she could merely ask for my heart on a whim and i would not hesitate to carve through my flesh and ribs to tear it out myself, and hold it in two bloody, trembling hands for her to take, head bowed and all
i know a yearner HATES to see me coming. no one has ever desired someone as much as i've desired this fucking girl
fuck i'm pouring my heart out to her
