To make your day, a brilliantly produced, wildly colorful video for David Wax Museum’s “Harder Before It Gets Easier,” which took 3 days of makeup application/removal.

To celebrate the life of Neil Armstrong, how about a video of his mate Buzz Aldrin punching a Moon Landing sceptic in the face.

This is just too good not to share. Aaron Collins passed away on July 7, 2012 and in his will he expressed one wish:
”Leave an awesome tip (and I don’t mean 25%. I mean $500 on a f***ing pizza) for a waiter or waitress.”
And so Aaron’s Last Wish was born. Seth Collins, Aaron’s...
Hot Air Balloon Ride
One thing on our bucket list? Traveling to Arizona and seeing the Grand Canyon from the basket of a hot air ballon.

Putting Romney’s tax returns in presidential context

8-Bit Butcher Diagrams by Jude Buffum
For the SCION sponsored and Giant Robot curated show “Pixel Pushers”, I decided to explore the carnivorous side of the world of video games. Though I am still a meat eater, I have a lot of vegan friends and have been exploring the ethical, environmental, and health impact of consuming an animal-based diet. That, and my long-time obsession with butcher diagrams, were the inspiration for this series.
Premature Ignition
July 4th fireworks in San Diego Bay were cancelled last night after they all pretty much simultaneously exploded on three of the four barges they were to launch from.
Garden State Fireworks, the company that was producing the show, released the following statement:
“The Garden State Fireworks team will be working throughout the night to determine what technical problem caused the entire show to be launched in about 15 seconds.
“We apologize for the brevity of the show and the technical difficulties. More information will be posted when available.”
Takeaway: Mistakes can lead to pretty pictures.

@ReutersHulk, the now-defunct parody Twitter account that imagined Hulk as an earnest and hard-working reporter, defended the use of tweeting direct quotations from the wire.
The use of copy/pasting from the wire was criticized in part because the wire news first comes through in ALL CAPS,...
