Small town horror things I'd love to see in a story

There seem to be children dressed up as ghosts around the town. Their legs poke out, almost as if they made their costumes with pillow cases. There are holes for their eyes, but you only see an ever-expanding darkness when you look into them. When you try to talk to them, they run away behind a corner and seem to disappear.

The nearby lake is populated with many fish, but the lower down you drop your fishing line, the weirder the animals become. Even when you extend your line all the way to its end, you still cant touch the bottom. After fishing up a creature with 3 eyes and jet black skin, you can only wonder what dwells at the bottom of the lake.

Theres a popular nightclub that plays the same song over and over that has no sense of rhythm, only static with what sounds like pots and pans occasionally clattering to the ground. When you try to ask the DJ to change the song, he only buys you another drink.

The local grocery store has a mysterious section in the back that disappears as you get closer to it. From the distance, you can only see a door guarded by a mysterious figure with what looks like strange carvings etched with a large knife.

Your house you just moved in to has a mouse hole. Instead of mice scurrying around, you see gelatinous creatures with thousands of arms and legs quickly make their way in and out of your vision. Instead of squeaking and scratching mice in your walls, you hear harsh wheezing, squelching, and the scurrying of legs.
