My partner and I just moved, so we are still unpacking our bookshelf, but if you want loved books check these out.

Look at the cracked spines, the worn corners. The aged pages and sun-faded covers.

There are books on these shelves older than me, with torn pages, and stains from spilt drinks on them.

These are loved books. And so are the books in the photo Mary took.

Motherfucker, if you think putting a (probably empty, clean) cup on top of a stack of books means you don’t love them, then you are an idiot. The human equivalent of stepping in a puddle while wearing socks.
