Well we’ll get along well then.
I'm Thomas, by the way.
What’cha got there, Greenberg?
Highschool flash backs, I feel like when coach Finstock retires you could take over. It's nothing really, just a few ideas to pass the time.
Well I can take a look at it if you don’t want to read it out loud.
Knock yourself out.
Depends on what you have on the list already.
I'm not entirely sure you want me to read out a list that's seven pages long.
Having fun there?
Oh yeah, tonnes. Did you want anything from the store?
Mm, more like passing the time. I just came to realise, moments ago, that I know very little on vampires.
Ordering more books?
That I am, do you have anything to add to list while I'm at it?
Don’t worry i wouldn’t damage a book for no reason, other than it being a mistake.
Which is all I could ever ask of someone.
Thank you but i’ve got the book i wanted. Oh well you’re back now, i don’t know if i’ve made it worse”
"As long as you have the book you needed. Oh no, don't worry about it, just gives me something to do. So long as books aren't damaged it's fine."
"What a strange way to stack book"
"Actually, I'm inclined to agree. Do you need some help there? I can stack them properly after you're done. Someone must have messed them up on my day off."
What sort of ideas? You remembered my name.
I'm thinking about perhaps writing a book one day. I did, difficult to forget.
You look busy.
Not exactly, just jotting down a few ideas before I forget them. How are you, Meg?
Sabotage? Now that sounds like a sibling relationship. Before you know it, you two will be hugging it out and having bro time or whatever you call your hangouts. Did he call out your name a lot, too? I swear, he finds joy in your last name.
We have a wonderful and glorious sibling relationship, we seem to magically know what's going too far, or when we have. Though I tend to give him more leeway, being the youngest. Yeah, he did. I'm not sure if it's because of me or if he just has some weird affinity for the words green and berg in some way shape or form.
Do you still love Laura or are you mad at her for leaving without a word?
I feel like my love life is under careful scrutiny, my brother questioning what happened between Alex and I, questions about who I would date. Am I famous? I must be famous. I mean I’m still planning my romance novel between Gromas Thomberg and a years supply of chocolate, but hey.
Alright, sit down son because I’m about to tell you a story. Once upon a time there was a teenage boy named Tommy, who’s close friend, arguably best, was an remarkably stunning, strong minded fantastic woman that went by the name of Laura. Now Tommy, being the charismatic boy he was, liked to spend a lot of time around people - especially friends - especially Laura. Until he realised that oh. Bugger. Laura was starting to become something his mind was on constantly. Little things. The way her genuine laugh sounded like cherubs singing, fierce eyebrows arching in that typical Hale sarcastic way. Though the latter was more compellingly annoying in a wonderful kind of way. A little while after Tommy began to piece together he was developing feelings for Laura, most of her family lit up like a Christmas tree. Of course Tommy was mindlessly selfish in that time, and was a little annoyed at her skipping town.
But Tommy grew up and now there is no way in his right mind he could blame her for leaving. Because guess what? I would have left if my family had been reduced to ashes too. It’s admirable that the Hales are still able to live here after what happened. I wouldn’t be able to do it, it would be a constant reminder of a harsh reality.
So in order to answer this question, I never quite loved Laura in a romantic way, there were seeds waiting to bloom, that I cannot lie about, but nothing happened. And if seeds aren’t watered, they die. I think, I never really did anything involving agriculture but I imagine they would. There’s certainly potential, and I have to admit it was a blast from the past seeing her. But no, I do not have romantic feelings for Laura at this present time. Except minor ones. You never really forget your first crush.
In conclusion I do not love her, I am not mad at her for leaving. I am merely a little… disheartened I was never able to contact her inbetween her leaving and her… unfortunate demise. And a little disheartened that she never tried to contact me when her status of death was rectified.
Now that I have sent you to sleep with a bedtime story, I’m going to watch sad soppy romantic comedies and fill up John’s Internet history with things that will hopefully give him a minor heartattack in the morning.
I didn't realize sitting in the park and reading was so odd.
Well then, guess we’re going to have to see how long I can stay cooped up in the library without eating.
I’ll have to add it to my “must watch” list. Aww, cats don’t like me much either .. makes my job a bit harder. Loving someone you shouldn’t … happens to the best of us, makes everything weird and confusing. I have read books like that, makes me wish I could scrub those books from my mind.
I've found that breaks here and there works wonders.
I had one of those, until I realised I'm not quite a movie fan. Though there is something that books can't portray, I like the things books can and movies can not. It does, and when it happens outside of books, it can be the next love story, or the latest tragedy.
