These paragraphs about grief really spoke to me in this fanfic and I think more people could do to read it:

Grief is a powerful emotion and anybody who's felt it will tell you that it never goes away, this was such a moving way to explain its presence and how it changes over time. I've never liked the saying that grief doesn't get smaller you just get a bigger box to hold the grief in; it's never sat right with me but this did so I wanted to share it.

Finished reading the fic (It's not complete so I've read up to chapter 15) and it is amazing!!! I can't wait for the rest of it and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who reads kpdh fanfiction, it's polytrix but they haven't properly met yet :)

I don't post often but I need to share this Ao3 author (I don't know their pronouns, so will be using they/them, if you know them please tell me so I can update). MyCatIsMyEditor on Ao3 is, without a doubt, my favourite supercorp author!!! I love just about all of their supercorp fics and have reread them multiple times! My favourites are: 'The Luthor Family', 'All In' and 'A Proposal' although I love literally all of them!!

For all I know, everyone could already know them but if you don't and you love supercorp, please go check out their works. You won't regret it.

I read a lot of supercorp fanfic so if you want more recs send me an ask and I'll reply with as many as I can :D Also, if you want the direct links or a summary of any of the fics I mentioned just ask :)

I am the type of person who will spend days researching, for hours on end and write the most in-depth article about my topic of interest.

I am also the type of person who will retake a screenshot that I just took because I accidentally pressed on the wrong app to send to someone and I'm too lazy to open the photos app.

I don't often say what I don't mean; I, simply, don't say most of what I think. That is why I speak little- I listen and think but rarely do I put sound to l those thoughts.

My voice is trapped under an avalanche; stolen from my throat. I choke on my words so frequently [that] I find it best to stay silent; to speak sparsely- always with careful consideration. And yet, I still fall short at times.

Instead of trying more, I simply fall silent longer. My jaw aches from all the times I wished and prayed and begged to speak the words I thought and yet I did not utter a sound, my mouth did not twitch in longing. I remained perfectly silent; drowning in my dread; in the words that consume me.

I choose to speak little. It does not feel like much of a choice: not anymore. I silenced myself so that you would not have the opportunity to silence me again.

I made it my choice. So that it would not destroy me. So that, if it did destroy me, I could lay the blame at my own feet and not yours. I did not want to be consumed by my hatred or anger or sadness for you. As a result every moment is a battle within myself.

You don't owe it to anyone to be mediocre.

Your success is your own and holds no bearing on anyone else's success or lack of it.

Just because you're capable of something does not mean someone else is incapable.

If anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they're just using your competence to justify their incompetence.
