Hey guys! I want to be more active on this blog again so I’m gonna make a quick little pinned post :)

Hiiii I’m Hop (though I feel like that was already known bc you’re on my blog and not otherwise but whatever I’m rambling haha)! I’m 16 right now and my birthday is in December B)

I’m currently 5’6” but I will be taller than Lee mark my words because I’m still growing and he’s not. My favorite color is orange and obviously my favorite pokémon are Wooloo!

My team are as follows: Pudge my Dubwool, Munchies my Snorlax, Skip my Cinderace, Io my Corviknight, Bloo my Pincurchin, and Luna my Zacian! While we aren’t battling all too often anymore, they’re the best team a guy could have! I do have others of course but they aren’t in my main six rotation, though I do talk about them from time to time :)

I still work under Sonia but I’m hoping soon to start traveling to become the best pokémon professor since Professor Oak!

Hop. Tell us about grooky, what is the significance of the stick it holds. It must be special since it becomes 2 and changes shape as he evolves.

One of my favourite things about grookey is when it drums with its little special stick, the energy from the sound waves help the nearby plants and flowers grow. Same with certain plant-esque pokemon like bellsprout! You can’t tell me that’s not the cutest thing you’ve ever heard. It plays a song for the flowers to grow, it’s too cute!

But the stick is reported to have come from the deep forests where the grookey line is native to. It’s hypothesized that the power from this stick comes from the power of the forest but it’s difficult to find concrete evidence and/or study that sort of thing. I cannot find much significance outside of that but if I do find more I will definitely let you know!

How’s the almost professor doing?

Ruining my sleep schedule it seems hahaha

But mostly working! I’m learning new stuff everyday and having so much fun with all my work studies! I’m considering applying for an internship in Hoenn because there’s a really good space program in Mossdeep. To which you might be wondering, why space? Well 1.) I love space, it’s so vast and interesting and there’s always more to learn about it and 2.) It fits my professor’s thesis! I’m focusing on gigantamax for my thesis and Eternatus being from space it makes sense for me to study where the source comes from further to understand the why of it all.

But that’s neither here nor there, to answer your question— the almost professor is doing quite well if a bit tired!

hoppppp it’s hop day again!!!!!!

Welp, I’ve missed it yet again by 18 days :’)

But seriously, who’s making all these Hop days? There’s too many I can’t keep up!

No hop-bean; the pokemon escaped. 2 minutes and all 5 are now gone

We’ll there’s not much i can do I guess but wait for Sones. If they’re her pokemon then she would know what to do best

You find 5 pokeballs in the pokemon lab that were Sonias when she traveled with Leon. All the pokemon escape the lab after you open the balls to see whats inside. Sonia will be back in 2 minutes, whst is your reaction.

Interesting question!

I would try to keep her pokemon as calm as possible. They don’t know me and I would be in their territory so it really depends on how they’re reacting to me, a stranger. If Sonia’s back in 2 minutes then if they want me to leave the room, I’m comfortable leaving them alone for that time :)

How’s Pasio? Also, What do you think about Leon’s new companion and suit?

Pasio’s so ace!!

It’s great being around other researchers and amazing trainers. And it’s also a nice tropical getaway from my regular farmer country boy life haha!

As for Lee’s getup, it’s definitely an outfit! And it’s definitely one I would not wear haha. I know a buncha the fans are loving it, but I’m loving the progress he’s making with Eternatus.

I’m so proud of my big bro! He still the coolest person I know!

what is your current favorite pokemon to study and what are your notes so far?

Oh Arceus it’s been so long since I’ve gotten a pokémon analysis question!!! You know the way to my heart anon, I’m so happy you sent this ask!!!!

I don’t really have one pokémon in particular that I like studying the most mainly because my studies tend to incorporate a bunch of different pokémon and how they have evolved through time.

Right now I’m researching pokémon who’s type changes when introduced to a mega stone because mega evolution is probably the closest change scientifically that we have to gigantamax.

Of the pokémon that mega evolve, charizard, pinsir, gyarados, mewtwo, ampharos, aggron, sceptile, altaria, lopunny, and audino all undergo some sort of type change (whether that be an added of one type or the loss of one type). While gigantamax pokémon do not undergo any sort of type change, their primary g-max move could potentially show and association to why this happens.

I’m not researching any one particular pokémon right now, more so I’m working on understanding different groups of pokémon but, if you wanted me to write up an analysis on one specific pokémon or pokémon characteristic, I would be more than glad to do so! It’s my favorite thing to do here on this blog and it’s fun and educational and I love it so much hahaha

But now instead of keeping an eye out for hoodlums I keep on getting movement activity of the ziggy's n' goons playing infront of the front door to m' flat

If you did end up becoming the electric type gym leader, where would you prefer your gyms location was? And what Pokémon would be on your team?

Hmmm definitely southern Galar, I’m much more comfortable out here. Maybe Wedgehurst but maybe not. Maybe Crown Tundra territory?? I don’t know but down south for sure :)

As for pokémon, if we’re talking a team of six, I already have a pincurchin, toxel, and a boltund. So I would evolve my toxel to a toxtricity making a solid three members so the party. I’d also evolve my eevee into a jolteon, making four. Let’s say the last two are dracozolt and maybe a vikavolt?

Yeah I like that team (in no particular order): Pincurchin, Toxtricity, Boltund, Jolteon, Dracozolt, and Vikavolt :)
