The part about Carolyn looking for someone was quick to grab Carrie’s attention, causing the pink flora to tilt her head to the side curiously.

The rose blinked in surprise, perhaps not expecting Carrie to ask that question. Her fidgeting slowed as she tried to come up with an answer--well, more like work up the courage to actually answer. The answer itself was simple, but providing information she hadn’t expected to was a bit difficult.

“My mother. She’s a cactus.” Was the monotone response, once again paired with a lack of eye contact. “I would just like to. Meet her. Is all.”

A strange noise slipped past her lips, and she seemed to shrink into herself a bit.

“I’ve put the search on pause for now. Though. So I don’t really intend to make much. Headway. It’s getting colder, after-all.”

Lucky for her, the potato did happen to be there. And wasn’t too hard to find either given his size.

Moe was out tending to the field, shoveling away mounds of snow into a neat pile when he heard a familiar voice call out his name. Could it be…? He turned around.

Squinting his eyes, he could see a bright speck of yellow and orange just by the farm’s entrance.

“Carolyn! It’s you!”

For once, Carolyn actually managed a grin, something not often seen on her face.

“Oh, so you-are here!” She said, clapping her hands gently. “It has certainly been. A while, has it-not?”

They had met several months prior, perhaps not in the best of circumstances, but she was grateful to Moe for helping her out of such a situation.

“Things going well this. Winter?”

{ ~ * 🌸 * ~ A quiet sigh of relief escaped the cherry blossom as the other began to speak. Good thing Carolyn snapped out of her staring, because Carrie was thiiiiiis close to worrying that she had actually hurt the rose by bumping into her.

Although the other’s way of speaking was… unusual, something she hadn’t heard before. But Carrie was quick to brush it off, slightly bowing forward to introduce herself.

“Oh! Name’s Carrie. Nice to meetcha!”

Unsure of what to say next, Carrie, being the master of conversation that she obviously is, decided to say the first thing that came to mind:

“Are ya… new around here?” she couldn’t help but ask, seeing how she hasn’t seen this flower around before. ~ ✧ﾟ･: * 🌸 ✧ﾟ･: * ~ }

“A pleasure.” Carolyn replied with a shallow nod.

She took a few seconds to look at Carrie, slowly taking her in. When she seemed to have her appearance committed to memory, she glanced away once more, staring at nothing in particular.

“You could. Say that.” She admitted, putting her hands together and beginning to fiddle with them. “I’ve just been wandering around the isles. Looking for somebody, really... Notmuch luck, but I’m. Persistent.”

She paused for another moment, before sparing another quick glance to Carrie.

“Is there any particular reason why. You bumped into me?”

Wow, it was certainly getting cold. Carolyn was usually pretty slow to notice, but the winter air finally made her tremble a bit, and she rubbed at her shoulders.

Perhaps she should stop for a bit. Plants weren’t meant to be out and about so late into the season. She should get some rest.

But where to go... She didn’t live on this isle, and it would take too much time just to go back home. Would it be too much to ask for assistance?

She was about to think on that when a familiar sight came into her view--a row of fences on the edge of a large field, clearly a farm of some sort. She perked up on realizing this, because she recognized it!

“Hell-o?” She called, approaching the gate and glancing around.

“Moe, are you. There?”

🌹 For Carolyn 🌹

{ ~ * 🌸 * ~ The cherry blossom had currently been taking a gleeful stroll through Isle three, she had just returned from spending the holidays with her cordyceps princess. Carrie donned her soft purple sweater to shield her from the chilly winter weather as she occasionally twirled and giggled to herself. Unlike the chase-filled events last Christmas leaving a weird and bitter taste in her mouth, this year’s holidays left her in a much more cheery mood, as evidenced by the big sweet smile on her face.

Unfortunately, the pink flora was too caught up in her own thoughts and didn’t realize she had twirled right into a stranger until it was too late. Now she was face to face with a…-

Well would ya look at that!

It’s a fellow flora! And a new one by the looks of it.

Bumping into the orange rose had finally caused Carrie to snap back into reality, but she kept her smile as she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

“Oh! Uhm, s-sorry about that! I shoulda been lookin’ were I was goin’ haha..” ~ ✧ﾟ･: * 🌸 ✧ﾟ･: * ~ }

Though Carrie had bumped right into the flower, and rather carelessly at that, the rose didn’t react. She didn’t even seem to notice. She remained staring off into space, thinking about things unknown to the rest of the world.

“Huh?” She mumbled as she finally snapped out of her stupor, blinking. She rubbed her arm as if finally realizing something had hit it, then turned to the other flower.

“It’s alright, I didn’t. Even notice...” She finally replied, shrugging. “I probably shouldn’t have been. Standing out in the open. Like-this.”

She tilted her head curiously at Carrie, doing her best to take her in.

“I don’t believe I. Know you. I am Carolyn.” She greeted flatly, though offering a small smile.

It’s the holidays, it’s getting colder, and seasonal affective disorder is rearing its ugly head meaning I don’t have a lot of energy to do things, even if I WANT to do them
