HAPPY MOTHER FUCKING CANADA DAY MOTHER FUCKERS

Only her quick thinking had enabled her to defeat all the demons that had surrounded her. There were a lot of them; they had her surrounded. But in the end she managed to take them down.
Though, she supposed bleeding to death would’ve counted as a victory for them as well.
Michelle was only a short distance away from what she called her sanctuary when she collapsed of tiredness. Hands clutching the wounds she got, she tried to stop the bleeding. A stab wound on her thigh, a few slashes on her left arm…
It was only instinctive that she tried to live. After all, she was able to do so for six years. The wounds weren’t too bad, but she overexerted herself in the fight. She wouldn’t be able to make it back…
But she started to grow more tired. And sleepy…
She heard her name being called. Was that even reality or was she hearing things? Maybe it was the voice of a lost loved one, waiting for her…
Her breathing became shallower with each passing minute. She couldn’t keep this up much longer. So was this it, after all these years? After accompanying Jerome, and Mat, and Mitch, and Dexter, and Sky… she’d die alone?
Michelle knew it was improbable, but she really hoped that if she was going to die now, she wanted someone, anyone, to be by her.
"Michelle!?" Mat screamed as he sprinted towards his friend. "Can you hear me, Michelle?!" A demon was approaching from the left and he quickly took his gun of of his back pocket and with a loud bang-- it was gone.
"Please don't be dead..." he muttered to himself as he ran up to his old friend.
He stood over her, cowering in fear that she could be dead or dying. "M-Michelle, are you..." he called to her in a quiet voice.
I came online for like 5 seconds and now I'm going to sleep. Night, guys~
You know, if I was a parent, it would be at this point that I’d rip the game from his hands, stash it in my backpack, and force him to enjoy history goddamnit. This vacation cost a lot and the game is only for the hotel and travel time.
imagine trying to force someone to think that stonehenge is fun
"look kid we’re a ridiculous distance from a bunch of broken rocks how could you possibly be bored this is totally an appropriate vacation spot for someone this age."
Ah, fuck. Shit like this always gets to me, the tired old technophobe spiel and maybe it’s because it’s so rampant in my field (I work in outdoor education), but it just starts feeling so goddamn derivative after a while, nouveau hipsters who think the world is ending because kids play too many video games.
But what we’re missing is that this kid’s parents bought him his SP and a copy of Leaf Green (the employee at the game store said it would be perfect for him) so that he would shut up on the plane ride over and not bother them in the hotel, imagining that as soon as they touched down the kid would put the thing down and appreciate all the castles and grass and cafes and operas and rocks and ~*~culture~*~, because that’s what culture and history are, right? A bunch of old rocks.
What they missed is this kid staying up way past his bedtime the night before their plane flew out on message boards and chat rooms trying to find out which is the best starter, finally settled on a Squirtle and named it Rocky, and right now while his parents are appreciating rocks he and Rocky have got to save the whole world from Team Rocket because he’s a hero and that’s what heroes do and he’s so invested in this story and this world, he thinks he might have found the place where Machops live, why should he care about a guide droning on about Romans and a bunch of old people taking pictures? But please, go ahead and take the Gameboy from him, break it in half and remind him that you spent A LOT on this vacation, and HOW DARE HE. You will FORCE him to ENJOY his GODDAMN VACATION because it’s REAL LIFE. Wonder why he’s so upset, you’re the one who spent money on the thing? All he invested in it was time and emotion, and those things are definitely less important than money, when you’re eight. Wonder why he’s so disconnected from education, when you’ve managed to turn it into a punishment, a deprivation, a source of misery? Go on and repeat the tired old technophobe line until you’re red in the face, share it on Facebook and reblog it on Tumblr and retweet it on Twitter: nobody but you knows how to live ~*~REAL LIFE~*~ because we’re so busy exploring imaginary worlds.
Kids don’t just need to be taught when to use devices, we as their parents and guardians also need to be taught why they use devices. If a kid is more invested in Kanto than Stonehenge, why? How can we change our approach so kids ~*~appreciate real history~*~? And if not, can’t we just accept and appreciate that this kid will go back to the third grade, say “Yeah, I saw Stonehenge, it was neat, but who wants to trade a Haunter for my Machoke?”
the commentary!
Mat walked down a cracked and pale street, stopping every few minutes to check for any sign of supernatural activity. He glanced at his pocket, his hand softly touching his gun. The sun was going down, and he needed to find shelter quickly. "It's -so- nice being alone..." he muttered sarcastically.
Michelle stood up, a bit of blood on her cheek that she wiped off immediately while grunting in frustration. Getting into a struggle with an animal (that she should’ve killed for food but she didn’t) was admittedly not a good plan at all. Now she was bleeding. Great. She glanced up at the sky, noted that she had to get back to the building soon. The brunette didn’t see Mat, but she was clearly visible to him a fair distance away on the sidewalk, with her back turned to him.
He nodded his head to let her know he was listening and he stared up at the building. “Sweet! There’s so much room to actually live here.” Mat glanced down at her hand, wanting to hold it again, when he saw the blood dripping. “Shit, are you okay? I mean, you don’t look okay, you’re bleeding… what happened?”
"That? Oh, I just ran into some really hostile animals today…” she said dismissively. “I left my first-aid kit back here so I couldn’t treat it immediately, but you shouldn’t worry too much.” She walked inside, careful not to mess up the line of salt at the front door, and walked over to the register counter, where the first aid kit was sitting. “There are also some bathing suits in the back room if we ever want to let our guards down and swim,” she jokingly suggested as she took her checkered jacket off to inspect the scratches she got.
"Swimming seems like the most logical thing to do if you're ever in a demon apocalypse, right?" He followed her over to the first aid kit. "Do you need any help? I mean, it's on your arm, not exactly the easiest place to reach in the world." He carefully examined her arm, making sure to be gentle.

"You… really are amazing. Amazing, but also a fucking jag." He smiled, getting his breath back, and grabbing the water bottle out of her hand. He raised his eyebrows as he realized she chopped down trees. "Hold the fuck up, you chopped down a tree? Shit, that’s impressive. Honestly." Handing the water bottle back, Mat asked, "What have you been doing for food? Fishing?"
She chuckled in amusement. “I try,” she teasingly replied. “I almost got crushed by one, but hey, I lived.” She led him through the town and to the building she had secured. Nodding in response to his last question, she answered, “Yep. Fishing with a bo staff and some nylon rope. And the occasional squirrel.” Blood from the wound earlier dripped down to her wrist and was now noticeable. She bit her lip and said nothing else.

Holding onto her hand for dear life, he ran after her. Thankfully because of running from demons all the time, he was in decently good shape and could run a long distance before getting tired. Mat looked at her face and smiled as they ran towards the town. “How… did you get… the wood… to board up the windows? He panted as they neared the town. “That’s… a lot of windows.”
The brunette had always been in good shape (before the days of the apocalypse, she teased Mat about it frequently). “You know me, jag, I’m pretty resourceful!” she replied. Not seeming to be tiring out at all, she slowed down a bit when they finally neared the town. “It took days,” she admitted, “to chop down trees with an axe. Thank god for abandoned hardware stores.” She opened her backpack and took a water bottle out, taking a sip and offering it to him.

"I can’t believe we made it to the fucking ocean. I’ve been trying to get here for ages, and now we’re both here. I can’t believe it." Mat smiled as he felt the breeze through his hair, his hand around Michelle’s. "And I’m just so glad demons are here to enjoy it with us.”
She looked at him, a confident smirk on her face. “What’s a party without party crashers?” she stated before pointing to an abandoned town ahead of them. It was a decently long walk and she’d be damned if Mat made her take their sweet-ass time to get there. “There’s the town. For your reference, we’ve got a one-story former surf shop. I’ve boarded up the windows when I first got there.” Letting out a huff, she held onto his hand tighter. “And there’s no way we’re just walking all the way there!” she proclaimed as she started running.

Post the CUTEST Headcanons you can think for my muse. If they're adorable enough, I'll make them canon!
Fun Fact: Quiet people are aware that they are quiet. They don’t need you to point it out to them. They know. Please stop.
Reblog if you DON'T only rp for the ship

He smirked and was left speechless. Quietly, he said, “Okay.” He walked slowly, next to her, nervously pondering whether or not to hold her hand. Mat reached out and grabbed her hand, maybe a bit too roughly than he was planning to. He hadn’t held hands with anyone for such a long time, it was almost like experiencing it for the first time again.
Michelle knew the damn smirk was there without even having to look at him. ‘Fucking jag…’ she thought. He surprised her when he grabbed her hand, but she accepted it anyway. A soft smile tugged on her lips; it was a serene moment, albeit an awkward one. “By the way, the shelter I found is at some sort of beach town. Which means we’re at the ocean.”
"I can't believe we made it to the fucking ocean. I've been trying to get here for ages, and now we're both here. I can't believe it." Mat smiled as he felt the breeze through his hair, his hand around Michelle's. "And I'm just so glad demons are here to enjoy it with us."
"Hah, they're such fucking jags. Losing track of us for a long time." "R-Right, but it's important that we found them again. They're also pretty bruised..." "Be careful, damn it. We don't know if they're possessed now or not. Hey! Can you hear us, admirals?" [pfft, you know who this is.]
Mat cracks his knuckles. “Calling me a jag? You’re the fucking jag. Oh, I’m sooo scared!”

"Oh, Michelle? She’s a badass. Really smart… and clever. She’s really good at surviving, I hope we survive together for a long time. And she’s pretty. I’ve said too much."
