Because after thinking about DA's 14 birthday's "My DeviantArt Story" thing, I realized I was in the Duality tournament for roughly half of the time I've been on DA, and just how much progress and improvement the group encouraged me through.

I can't wait to see how it all concludes!

So first things first, congratulations to finalists Arkeis and WingedNovelist!

When I made Eric's app, I actually filled out a competitor's app by accident, since you know, they looked kinda similar at the beginning. I planned to join Duality as an NPC and just observe how OCTs work with maybe some loose interaction. I thought maybe I'd be a competitor in another OCT that comes along... When I realized I was actually signed up as a competitor, I decided to try my luck in the preliminaries instead of just dropping out --I think that was a good choice.

Eric's comic, including his Event 6 and cover pages, was 139 pages total. And thanks to WolframAlpha: since submitting Eric's app on Nov. 3rd 2012, Eric was a competitor for just over a year and a half (1 year, 6 months, and 8 days). And in 554 days, a lot of things can happen.

Before Duality, I had previously made one failed venture into making a comic. During Duality, I was humbled and inspired by my competition, and I was surprised at my progress. Even though I think my quality peaked around Round 4 (summer vacation), I learned so much from the experience and the critiques and I plan on asking for my final critique too.

Eric had a good long run, 3rd place was astronomically further than I had hoped for him (placing was a pipe-dream). It was a combination of luck (remember R1 & R2?) and something else that got me that far, and thanks for reading along with the story.

I hope to do something for Event 9 before the end. And I plan on making an epilogue, but it’s going to be influenced by how the final round and event play out, so it’ll have to wait. My epilogue though will not quite be an epilogue; in addition to what happens after the events of Duality, it’ll also go back and fill in Eric’s story’s plot holes and what had to be cut out.

Also, sometime in the future, there might be some kind of Duality tribute from me when it’s all over. This has been a very influential experience for me and all the people who’ve contributed to Duality-OCT has helped make it special.

I haven't wanted Duality to get in the way of school; before it never really did because there was always conveniently some kind of long school break to take advantage of during the time given for the round. This time though, the only break I had was my week-long Spring break (still useful, I used it for the scripting and thumbnails). So although I do plan on submitting a comic, I have no idea how complete it's going to look since there's a lot more work-play balancing for me to do than before. I really want to stick with this, but I can't just screw all my classes.

Essentially he's a recycled mash-up of a character I was going to introduce in R4. The character went by his last name, Morris, and he had a Feraligatr on his team. I had actually sketched him and his 3 pokemon before changing my mind on R4.

Sorry about the long wait there isn’t an excuse except for the fact I lost steam (after carrying the weight of this OCT since august until December-ish purely by myself I needed a break)

But here we have Round 6!

I am sorry you had to wait so long, but if I had posted it sooner I probably would have made this the last round due to my lack of energy back then.
