Janaya week 2022 (?)

   Hiyaa everyone!

   It’s been a while, but I thought I’d see if there’s people (still) interested in participating in a Janaya week this year. As of right now I’m thinking of hosting it January 24th through 30th.

   But for that, we need prompts! I will be honest with you all, I simply edited the google form that we used last time and deleted the prompts that were chosen back then.

   Please feel free to reblog & share to make sure as many people as possible get to see this and vote for (maximum) eight prompts! You can vote until the 11th, so that people will have enough time (hopefully) to prepare!

The prompts will be seven + one.

Seven prompts for each day of the Amaya Week.

An additional prompt (the eighth most voted one) is a bonus for people who either lack of inspiration for one of the prompts, or want to try their hands at something additional, or feel the bonus prompt more than they feel one of the others… Countless reasons.

The prompts are in no special order but are the most voted prompts.

What kind of content can I submit?

These prompts are up for any kind of fan interpretation - art, fictions, headcanons, playlists, edits, etc. Just have fun, be creative, and make some more amazing Amaya centric content!

We will not accept any offensive or discriminative works, including nsfw works involving minors.

Can we start preparing?

Absolutely! You can start prepping things, your fanart or fanfiction or fanvideo or what not.

Can we start posting ?

We ask to wait in that regard. Wait until the Amaya Week starts! If you think you’ll forget, Tumblr gives you the chance to schedule a post.

What happens when the week starts?

We will keep you posted if something changes. Either way, the official tags for the Week will be #AmayaWeek and #amaya week 2021

I’m gonna try my hardest to be back around for this and get some submissions prepped! (I’ve been trying to get back to writing and tumblr. The reasons I disappeared have mostly settled down, so fingers crossed that I’ll recover enough to be around!)

A Black Artists Matter call for action

Hello TDP Family, Hello dear Janaya (and not!) shippers.

In light of current events, we are taking a stand.

We, a very diverse group of people in the Janaya Discord (HERE), have talked a lot on how we can support the Black community in this important time.

We might not have money to donate, or the ability to protest, or even the resources to commit to other kind of actions.

But we do have a platform. And as such, we have to use it. We have a voice, and we have to raise it.

We want to create a master post for The Dragon Prince fanartists who belong in the Black Community and boost their voices. We want to show our support and help in any way we can.

We therefore ask any Black artists (fanartists, fanwriters, videomakers, etc) who feel comfortable sharing their profile to drop us an ask or reach out to us in whatever way is easiest to do so. We’re happy to boost your creative works, to celebrate your creations, and highlight your contributions. 

We will be reblogging a couple of works from the artists who reach out to us as well as creating the master post mentioned above. If you have specific works you would like us to reblog, please let us know!

Additionally, we will try to post resources and ways to support the BlackLivesMatter movements.

So far, we have @path-of-sunlight ‘s initiative that you can find HERE.

If you know of similar initiatives from the TDP fandom, please share them with us, and we will boost them for you.

Safety Note: Please make sure you have permission if you suggest other fanartists to us. We will be checking for consent from individual creators before we include them in the masterpost.

Hey! How are things?

[Not sure if this is meant to be an OOC question or not, but since I’m not actively posting, I’ll just respond as though it is. Feel free to let me know if it’s not. I’m super busy with school, and I’ve had a bunch of personal stressors that have kept me away from tumblr. Annnnnd, they’ve just started calming down in time for well ...ALL OF THIS. But I’m doing okay, and I’m hoping to start posting more soon!]

title: the path for peace / chapter one: scars / words: 2.1k / janaya week 2020

For the first time in weeks, Amaya felt as if she had a moment for herself, even under these unfortunate circumstances. The battle was over, done and done, yet she still couldn’t shake the losses her army had taken, from both sides, those who Viren turned into heat fueled monsters and those who remained human in their flesh and bone. It was her worst nightmare as a General coming true: to see her people fight each other. She did not think she’d live to see the day, did not consider it happening at all. It hurt even more to see the Sunfire Elves fighting her troops, as if there wasn’t enough bloodshed between humans and Elves. A hint of pride rose within her at the sight of Ezran fearlessly riding a dragon as if he had been doing so since he was born, and Callum chanting spells from the steps on the Spire, preventing the mutated soldiers from climbing up. That pride was half-drowned with regret because of how young her nephews were, but she clung to every piece of it, thinking how proud Sarai would be to see her children leading.
