*hesitates, half hiding herself behind @ask-jinthewindmaster , a bit leery of approaching a stranger by herself, but eventually, with a rustle of her wings, she manages to shuffle her way over to him* U-um…. excuse… excuse me, please… May I, um, have a carrot… please…?
Oh, sure! Here ya go! Just kneel down to their level and let them approach you. -hands her a carrot- Don’t worry, they won’t bite.
*takes the carrot and hold it tightly to her* T-thank you…
*turning back to Jin, she looks for a good place to feed the rabbits, finding a place away from anyone else and she kneels on the ground, lowering herself until she’s sitting with her legs tucked under her, a rabbit approaches her almost immediately as though expecting to be fed and she slowly lowers the carrot for it to nibble on*
-grins, watching her from his spot against the fence as the rabbit nibbles on the carrot happily- You can even pet them too.
*she pulls away the carrot subconsciously and slowly reaches out her free hand to try and pet the rabbit, the rabbit, however, had other ideas as it hops into her lap, following the carrot* Oh! *she jumps slightly in surprise, the rabbit not seeming to care, and she laughs, giving it what it wants, and reaches out to pet it again* It’s so soft~! *grins up at Jin, pure innocent joy covering her features*
-grins and gets a picture on his phone, flash off to make sure it doesn’t spook anyone- That’s a great picture! Should get it printed and framed, your first rabbit!
*the carrot now gone, the rabbit seems content to stay in her lap, after a moment, she very gently lifts the rabbit into her arms, clutching it to her chest and petting it affectionately* Oh, Jin… I think I’m in love. *she giggles*
-giggles and takes another picture- Okay, this one I gotta make my phone’s wallpaper. -grins as he puts the phone away for the moment, squatting down to pet a curious bunny that hopped over- It’s nice ta be around animals that won’t kill ya.
*is in absolute bunny heaven as more rabbits approach her curiously* Do you think I could convince my brother to let me keep one on our island?
Maybe! You’ll probably wanna put a fence up so the bunny won’t fall off. And a nice big hutch I think for it to live in. They can’t fly but they sure can hop!
*nuzzles her face into the soft fur of the rabbit and puts it down with a heavy sigh* We’d better leave before I get too attached and try to take them all home. *giggles*
-hops back up and holds his hand out for her- Do you wanna look at the chickens and chicks next? Or maybe the goats?
I’ve been around plenty of chickens. *shakes her head* I don’t know about goats, though…
Well, how about we just walk by the animals? You can just look, no touching needed. The goats are funny, though. Sometimes they get mad at you if you stop petting them.
*smiles* Okay. I can definitely handle walking by them. *takes his hand, squeezing it tightly, bouncing on the balls of her feet, still happy over the rabbits*
-pulls her close and leads her to where there’s a mama goat and kids in a small enclosure- Awww look at the babies~
*her eyes widen as she spots them* They’re so cute~ and small~ Ohhh, maybe I do want to pet them… *she giggles a bit sheepishly*
-leans over the fence and lets his free hand dangle down, grinning as a baby goat sniffs at it curiously- They may try ta suckle, the babies usually do when they’re this small. Just let them come to you.
*pouts a little* I’m too short to lean over the fence like that…
-chuckles and taps the fence twice- Put your hands through the gaps, hon. You can reach them that way!
*glances at him briefly, then kneels down and, sure enough, there’s space big enough for her to stick her hands through, taking a deep breath, she puts her arm through… and waits*
-watches as a baby goat trips and gets back up, walks over to her and sniffs her fingers before lipping at them, trying to suckle- Awwww…-click-
*she squeaks in surprise, yanking her hand back on instinct, slamming her wrist against the fence in the process* Ooh, that surprised me! *she giggles a little, then winces with a slight hiss* Ouch…
-baby goat jumps back with a startled bleat and hides behind his mama, he focuses more on Asuka, checking her wrist- I think you just bruised it. -chuckles softly and kisses it- Silly chickadee~
*still wincing slightly, she smiles at him* That was rather cute, though. I don’t regret it.
-laughs and kisses her cheek- You’re cute in everything ya do though. And look, he’s coming closer again! -points with his free hand to where the baby goat is cautiously approaching again-
*she laughs, a blush coloring her cheeks* I was talking about the goat!
I think I’m done petting animals, for now. *rubs her wrist a bit* I don’t want to accidentally hurt myself, again. *giggles* Brother will have a fit.
-sighs and shakes his head with a smile- Is he ever gonna not have a fit about anythin? Let’s get some food for the movie and find a nice spot afore they’re all filled! Sound good?
*she frowns slightly, even though she knows he’s teasing* Jin, please keep in mind that I am the only family my brother has left in this world and vice versa. It’s the only reason I’ve allowed him to coddle me as much as he has.
Let’s find some food and a place to sit, then. *she gently takes his hand and gives it a slight squeeze*
-frowns and kisses the top of her head- Sorry, chickadee. I’ll ease up on the jokes. All I could imagine was him getting mad cuz you didn’t cut yer food small enough or somethin’ silly like that. But I’ll stop.
-squeezes her hand back and walks with her to a little food cart- You ever try soda?
*she tugs him back down, kissing his lips softly as she gives him a small smile* Thank you.
Soda? *she thinks a moment* No, I don’t think I have. What is it?
-grins with a light blush-
It’s a fizzy drink, sweet and bubbly! Takes a but to get used to though. Wanna split one?
Yeah, okay. It sounds fun and interesting. I like bubbles. *she grins*
-orders a bunch of snacks for them to split and try during the movie, takes the soda bottle and offers it to her- It’s orange flavored so you should like it! -grins wide-
*takes the bottle from him, eyeing it curiously* The color is certainly very orange… Should we find our seat first?
Good idea! -uses the wind as a little cushion to keep the food aloft while taking her hand- This way~
*allows him to lead her by the hand, smiling as she keeps one eye on their snacks floating in the air, completely enthralled by his ability*
-finds an out of the way spot and goes as if to drop on the ground but ends up sitting on a cushion of air instead which he’s used to doing- Here we are~!
*unable to levitate herself, she carefully sits on the ground next to him and quickly finds that she has to crane her neck back quite far just to look at him, she gives a small pout, but doesn’t say anything, turning her attention to the cushion of air, slowly reaches out her hand to test the pocket of air that’s holding him up, wondering what it feels like* A slight breeze…
Oh, sorry! -lets himself drift onto the ground next to her with a sheepish grin- Force’a habit. -catches the snacks easily and offers the popcorn to her for first handful- By the by, did ya text your brother yet?
*she giggles at him and takes a bit of popcorn, leaning against his shoulder* It’s alright. I was rather fascinated. As for my brother, yes. I sent him a message.
-grins- Sweet, we can just relax then. -wraps his free arm around her waist, hand settling comfortably- We’ll hafta do more movie dates, catch ya up on things. I’m sure Kepi an’ Aurie would be happy to have you over for a marathon too!
*her skin warms where his hand rests on her waist as she leans further into him* I like movies. I would love to watch more. What’s a marathon?
It’s when you just watch a lot of things in a row without really any breaks. TV channels will have a marathon where it’s lots of episodes of one series, or all the movies in a franchise. Ya binge!
Is a marathon what we would do in one of those pillow forts you mentioned before?
Yep! Get comfy with snacks and blankets and pillows and then cuddle while watching a movie marathon–with bathroom breaks of course. -winks-
*she nestles closer to him, taking the soda into her hands* I really want to do that. Get cozy with a bunch of blankets and pillows. It sounds perfect for the cold months, too. *she fiddles with the cap on the bottle*
Yeah, that’s pretty much the only time I wear shirts on a daily basis. -laughs- I usually prefer to wear as few clothes as I can get away with. But even I’m not resilient to the cold! -wraps an arm around her to cuddle closer-
*she laughs a bit* I like the way you dress. It looks very light and freeing. *frowns at the pop bottle* Do I open this like a jar?
-grins- Thanks! Adds a bit of extra lift. Oh, an’ ya twist it open. -takes the bottle and twists the cap as demonstration before handing it back to her-
*watches him closely and then takes the bottle back, staring at it hesitantly for a moment before removing the cap completely, in wonder over the small hiss that leaks from it as she does, her eyes go round as she whispers* Is it alive? It sounds like it’s alive, Jin…
-hides a laugh behind his hand, his ears wiggling- It’s not alive, promise. Carbon dioxide is added to make it all fizzy like that! It’s a liquid, not alive one bit.
*is completely oblivious to his mirth as she stares at the bottle, lost in curiosity at the liquid, she sniffs it and is surprised by the crisp scent as it makes her eyes water slightly.
Her lips purse together slightly as she regards it with some hesitation, but then quickly takes a drink, the liquid cool and a bit odd feeling against her throat, she opens her mouth to speak, but all that comes out is a small burp* Oh! *her hand flies over her mouth, cheeks tinting pink with embarrassment* Ex-excuse me…
-laughs at the expression on her face- I think I had the same reaction! I can’t take a lot, too sweet for me, but every now and then I like it!
*she makes a sour face* I don’t mind the sweet, but… that is not what an orange tastes like. *she sticks out her tongue slightly and hands the bottle over to him*
-snickers as he takes it- I call it “forange”. Fake orange. We’ll find you a soda you’ll like. There’s one that’s like a really mild lemon/lime flavor!
*she gives him a small smile* I’ll admit I’m not eager to try a different one, but if you think I’ll like another flavor, then I’ll do it.
*jumps slightly as the outdoor movie screen suddenly comes on, a movie preview starting up right away* Oh! That was rather loud. *her hand moved over her chest as though to still her racing heart*
-had jumped as well, holding her close for a moment- Yer tellin’ me! I didn’t expect that! -laughs sheepishly with an embarrassed flush to his cheeks- Looks like it’s time ta snuggle an’ enjoy the show.
