ASKS?? ASKS!!
I’ve been thinking that its probably time to make one of these because my blog is not getting anywhere as fast as I’d like it to. So if you could, can you boost this post for me? I have more characters to introduce that I haven’t been able to even hint at yet!
“Like” this if you want me to send you an ask, but I encourage you to send me asks too because currently I have zero lol. (also anon is on!)
I’ve added an Ask Hints page and Information about the blog too, as well as some updates to my Character page. Thanks everyone!
(Allen @ ThighHighs): "Wh-what other exercises d-do you d-do, miss?" The dumb Umbreon asked, slowly sitting down and hoping she would not question his stutter. "You d-don't look b-bad at all t-too. Y-you look v-very p-pretty."
“Well thank you for the complement, I suppose I could share...” ThighHighs smiled, knowing what its like to deal with a stutter. “I... usually...” She glanced at a bag nearby, the smell of burning fabric still emanating from it. “Use a training vest that adds extra weight to myself, it helps with building strength and stamina. I run twenty-five laps around, through, and over a river. Then I take a twenty minute brake, sitting in the river. It helps build up a resistance to water and water attacks. I do another ten laps while trying to stay off the ground as much as possible, jumping through trees... and usually end up getting leaves and such stuck in my fur. That is the worst part, ahah hah~.”
“I... used to also practice using my moves. But I would have to go into a Pokemon Center after that and um... going in alone isn’t something I liked doing. The most recent time I used any of my moves was... not important, I guess.” She frowned as a certain Typhlosion entered her thoughts. “Because someone owes me a new vest.”
Just before sunrise isn’t a time when many are awake, people or Pokemon. So it was the perfect time for three Pokemon to walk on Route 35 without Trainers giving them trouble. The first two, ThighHighs and a Victreebel, looked much more awake than the Typhlosion that trailed behind them. He kept his eyes off the two in front of him since they were content with only giving him attention when he tried to leave. Any attempts he made to ask where they were going, or what was in the bag that the Victreebel was carrying, was met with silence. So he trudged behind them, looking up at the pink and black tinted clouds and brightening sky.
“Sooooo…” Sue sighed, amused at the sight of his breath clouding the air in front of him. “National Park huh, did you two drag me out here to watch the sun rise? Want to get a drink out of the fountain before the guards show up? Want to uh… fertilize Tanga?” That made the plant-type stop. It made an angry gurgling noise as it turned to ThighHighs and pointed a leaf back at the Typhlosion.
ThighHighs looked back nervously. “Are you sure? I think we could keep going a bit longer.” Tanga then shook it’s head and gestured at Sue again. “Annoying you that much is he. Well… okay.” She took in a breath of the cool morning air and faced an equally annoyed Sue. “So… I umm… I know…”
“You know what?” Sue huffed and folded his arms. “Stop stalling and just come out with it already.”
You stay in the house(?) all day! You should try hiking some more often, or else you'll get a belly! Not that there is anything wrong with it, of course..
“I...I s-stay in shape!” ThighHighs ears lowered, she tried her best to wrap her tails around her midsection to hide it. “... Try t-to stay in shape. I do run laps around t-the track next to the Pokéathlon most evenings and...”She struggled with her thoughts for a moment, but figured she wouldn’t talk about those exercises yet. “... s-some other things. And j-just so you know I’m still in... a-about the same shape I was when I was battling the Champion! So you don’t need to b-be so.... rude...”
Just wanted to say that you inspired me to make a similar Nuzlocke rules story. Obviously I don't want to copy you and I doubt I will by accident. So thanks for the inspiration!
(( I’m glad that I inspired you! I’m not worried about being copied, I’m sure I ain’t the first person to make a story like this XD. The character’s backstories are based somewhat loosely on a soulsilver nuzlocke I did, so if you do the same thing make sure to take a lot of notes while you play! I sure wish I took more than I did haha ha…))
Jun@ThighHighs: What do you think of humans? I've met some after falling through dimensional rifts. They don't seem too bad, but I've never been to a world where they capture us pokemon and force us to fight. Also... this might sound strange, but have you ever worn thigh high socks? I think you'd look rather fetching in them.
“Humans are... d-different. They don’t force us to fight... well I g-guess some of them do... b-but they... hmm ” ThighHighs seemed to struggle with a way to explain. “As a whole humans are okay, I think. I have met plenty of trainers that treat their Pokemon w-with respect, like they were family. But a few are much less... pleasant. Humans, sometimes even a big group of humans, use Pokemon for their own gain. One of those groups even tried taking over Goldenrod a few years go, now a lot of buildings here don’t allow Pokemon inside without being in Poke Balls.” She gave Jun a faint smile. “But I don’t l-let a few bad humans ruin how I think about them, my trainer and his family are great! I don’t know what I would do without him.”
ThighHighs then started giggling. “As for the s-socks thing, y-yes actually. It’s a kind of funny story. Richard’s sister visits and brings her children sometimes, they thought it would be funny to put them on me. I hadn’t w-worn clothes before that point so I was curious enough to let them do it. The socks were...” She tone suddenly turned embarrassed. “Lovely I t-think... for the first ones I have w-worn, eheh. They were black with s-solid red and white diamond shapes, with white diamond outlines connecting them, running down the sides of the socks. They were a bit too big for me though, c-considering they were probably made for humans, but they kids must have thought of t-that. Once the socks were on my back legs, they tied the tops of the socks with little white ribbons so they stayed on.”
“It was a really weird feeling walking around with them on. I didn’t really like it, but I didn’t wear them for long. Richard saw me after a few minutes and d-didn’t really... a-approve of the children’s action. They are n-not allowed to be left alone with m-me anymore.”
Victory sketches for those who beat me in battles yesterday! That was super fun! I’ll definitely do this again when I get more battle pokemon!

It was a clear day on Route 36, the sound of many bird Pokemon filled the air. In the woods, far away from the road trainers traveled on, ThighHighs and Tights lay under the shade of a few trees. The two Pokemon had been there for quite sometime, yet they had not said anything to one another. They were enjoying the peace together. But something was nagging at ThighHighs, as much as she didn't want to ask the question...
She rolled off her side and into a sitting position. "S-so... how did the battles go the other night?"
"Hmmm, why do you ask?" Tights leaned off the tree's trunk. "Everything went about as well as it always does."
"Yeah... but what kind of battles are they?"
"... Pokemon battles?" Tights gave her a confused look. "I'm not sure what you mean."
"Well..." ThighHighs hesitated, but decided to push. "There were these human that met Richard and gave him a weird Poke Ball and asked why I wasn't 'registered'. Do you... know something about that?"
"Oh, that." Tights looked away from her. "So you met them huh. They sort of run a special rules kind of battle is all. You know like a double battle? Its something like that, and it has a league of it's own so he needed to have us signed up." The ghost turned back and smiled. "So like I said, just Pokemon battles dear."
"But-" ThighHighs was going to object but Tights cut her off.
"Anyway, don't you know what today is?" Tights floated closer, ThighHighs could have sworn she saw a tinkle in the other's eye.
"It's... Sunday?"
Tights groaned and flopped her head backward, "No you silly fox, it's Valentines Day!"
ThighHigh's blinked. "I haven't heard of that Pokemon before."
"It's a human holiday, not a Pokemon. Humans give each other gifts and be romantic and stuff! Doesn't that sound fun?"
"You weren't watching one of those weird human shows again were you?"
"They aren't weird..." Tights pouted, "and they have some interesting stuff on sometimes. Did you know that there is apparently a kind of Ninetales and Mew that can grant wishes?"
"Wow..." ThighHighs looked up to the sky though the trees. "That sounds amazing..."She turned back to face Tights. "But doesn't Jirachi already do that?"
"Don't ruin the mystique with logic. But back to Valentines Day." Tights got so close that she was pressed side to side with ThighHighs. "Is there some one you have feelings for~? That you want to be romantic with~?"
ThighHighs could feel her fur stand on end and her face heat up. "W-w-what?! I... I... n-no!" She attempted to move away, but Tights pulled her back.
"Come on, it's just between us girls. You wouldn't have reacted like this if there wasn't someone~."
"That is because I haven't ever thought about it!" A few tails moved up to cover ThighHighs' face. "With all our training, battles, and travels I was a bit focused on other things. I never thought a-about... it's embarrassing!"
Tights giggled mischievously. "Really, all this time and there is no one? Then think about it and tell me what you would look for in a Pokemon." She wrapped her tendril across ThighHighs' back and around her chest, just in case she tried to wiggle away again.
ThighHighs whimpered and tried to bury her face deeper into her tails. "This is embarrassinggg. Why d-do you want to know anyway?"
"Lets just say I'm... curious~." The way Tights whispered that last word made ThighHighs feel even more uncomfortable.
"I really don't know! I only had... urges and s-stuff during... b-b-breeding s-seasons..."
"Ooooooooh~?"
"But I always had training to keep my mind off it!" She added. "And lately... I j-just don't feel like..." ThighHighs shook her head. "I don't want to talk about this."
Tights sighed in disappointment, but nodded. "I understand, dear. But who knows, maybe a relationship is just what you need?"
ThighHighs huffed her tails away from her face. "Maybe but... not right now. There are still some things I think I s-should work on."
"Like thinking about your ideal mate~?"
"Tiiiights!"
@askarkani put those things back or so help me
“Two eighty-six… two eighty-seven… two eighty-eight…” Richard counted to himself as he brushed the fur on ThighHighs’ back. She sat next to him on the couch, while she normal enjoyed her grooming time her focus was on something else. The Repeat Ball on the small table in front of her. “And three hundred! Ho ‘kay girl, I got to get going!” He stood up, grabbed the ball and left the brush on table. “You have the place to yourself the rest of the night-”
“W-wait.” ThighHighs yipped.
(Toasty@ThighHighs): "Sad to see such a lovely gal all scarred up. Seems like you've been in a lot of scraps. Do you at least see a doctor whenever you get injured?"
“Y-yeah...” ThighHighs sighed deeply, “Always with the scars.” she thought.
“I have spent my f-fair share of time in Pokemon Centers yes. The nurse’s and care Pokemon are r-really nice. Sometimes I had to stay a couple of days at a time. The longest I think was... e-eleven days? That was after challenging the Elite Four and the Champion.” She forced a giggle and straightened her posture, attempting to appear confident. “They were hard fought battles, f-for everyone on my team. Going up against five expert trainers is h-hard enough, but doing so consecutively without proper care between fights was... I thought impossible. Our trainer brought plenty of healing i-items but,” her tails fluffed up slightly as she recalled a memory, “Potions can’t heal everything. Even s-some injuries are too deep for Centers to treat and leave scars...”
“But I’m still a-alive! The scars don’t bother me much. I have been to a Pokemon Center for quite some time n-now, nice as they are I never really liked visiting them.”
Gabriel@ThighHighs: Ah, what beautiful fur... Do you mind if I ask what you think of your trainer...? Does he treat you well..? All those scars...
“He is a g-great trainer!” ThighHighs smiled, covering the scars on her chest with her tails. “They aren’t from him if t-that is what you think, just took a f-few h-hard hits.”
“He treats me as well as a-any other trainer treats their Pokemon... maybe better than s-some.” She looked off to the side, deep in thought. “... I didn’t think so at first. Training was hard at first and I h-hated him for it. But the results w-were... well I never felt b-better in my life after the first time I b-battled”.
“He did his very best for me... us, all of his Pokemon. But Pokemon battles didn’t a-always go our way.” Her smile faltered and she sighed. “It isn’t his fault, I s-should have been stronger.” She hugged herself with her tails. “If it wasn’t for him I p-probably wouldn’t... b-be...”
She shook herself out of it and pushed the thought away. “A-ah... sorry I was being s-silly again. Anyway heh, I wouldn’t choose anyone else to be my trainer.”
does your trainer have a drinking problem or something?
“A drinking... p-problem...?” ThighHighs looked thoughtfully at her trainer, passed out on the couch with a half empty bottle on the table next to him. “N-no I think he can drink just fine, he might do it a bit too much. H-he uh... only started this a-after... hmm.” Now she looked over at the door, her expression turning troubled. “Those two m-men started showing up and he started going out a-at night to do battles. I never thought t-that maybe... Ahahaha~.” She shook her head and forced a smile. “Don’t mind m-me, just being w-worried about nothing.”
“Like always.”
“ThighHighs!” She heard Richard calling her name. “Come on, we are going out for a walk!” The Ninetales rolled off the bed and walked into the livingroom, whining at her trainer. “Don’t give me that, you haven’t gone out in a while and you’re not going to get any less shy from staying in doors all day. Now come on.” He unlocked the few locks on the front door and gestured her out. ThighHighs shook her head and pouted at him. “Come oooon.” He said again, pointing down the hall. She sighed, stepped over the empty bottles next to the table and trudged out the door. Richard closed the door behind them and walked with her down the steps to the ground floor. “We just need to get a little fresh air for a while, it won’t be too bad.”
ThighHighs yawned, it had been a little over an hour since her trainer had brought her along for a ‘walk’ and fifty minutes since they stopped in front of a café. It wasn’t as if she minded, laying under a table with Richard seated at another nearby, but he had not even ordered anything; as if they were just there to listen to the wooden chimes that hung above them. But to her it was better than having to walk around and interact with other people or Pokémon, no one had bothered them even though the inside of the café busy. She heard footsteps approach them and was surprised to hear a chair pulled up to the same table her trainer sat. She hesitated to look at the new arrivals, two male humans that looked... plain.
“Plenty of other tables around.” Richard commented without looking at the pair. Instead, he chose to look into the café and watched the staff hard at work.
“You’re hard to find, know that?” One of the men asked, ThighHighs recognized his voice. He had visited them many times at their home, but Richard never let them past the front door. She noticed both of them had similar dress and hair cut; black pants with plain grey shirts and short cut brown hair. The difference was their body types, one was much bulkier than the other.
“Not hard enough.” Richard muttered while he watched the inside of the café. He sounded worried for a reason ThighHighs didn't know, not that the two humans could detect it like a Pokémon could. “So, anything I can get you two? Drink, food, sense of humor?”
“Well I’m pretty h-” The thin human started.
“Shut it!” The bulky human snapped at the other. “Look wiseass, you’re scheduled for tomorrow and no one has been able to contact you. Not interested in making money anymore?”
“Been a bit busy, if you needed to talk to me you shoulda called your sister.”
The thinner human giggled as the bulky one hissed through his teeth and slapped something onto the table. “Blackthorn entrance. Tomorrow night. Bring your Dragonite.” With that the human abruptly stood up, nearly knocked the chair over, and stormed past Richard with the thinner human following.
But they stopped right next to the table ThighHighs was under, her heart almost felt like it was going to stop and beat out of her chest at the same time. The way Richard held his breath didn’t help her at all.
“Is this yours?” The bulky human asked.
“That girl sure can handle a stack of plates.”
“The. Pokémon.”
“Hmm?” Richard turned his head at glanced down at ThighHighs, shrugged. “Never seen ‘em before, must belong to someone in there. Don’t let Pokémon in the café.” He pointed to a sign of a Pokeball crossed out next to the open door. ThighHighs ears twitched, why was he lying?
“Check his records.” The bulky human said to the thin one, who took out some kind of black square and tapped on the face of it a few times. “What does he have registered.”
“Wheres the trust Mark?” Richard asked with feigned hurt in his voice.
“Typhlosion, male; Mismagius, female; Dragonite, male; Victreebel, female; Gyarados, male... deceased.” The thin human read. ThighHighs felt like something stabbed her in the chest at the mention of the last one. “No Ninetales.”
“I told you, it isn’t mine.” Richard once again shrugged.
“Fine, I’ll drop it.” Mark walked back to Richard and leaned over him. “But you know the price of not registering a Pokémon, especially a shiny Pokémon with how much money they can bring in. If I find out you’re lying to us-”
“Mind backing it up, just because I like having your sister on top of me doesn't mean it extends to you.” Richard lightly pushed Mark back. Mark retaliated by slapping his arm away and storming off, stepping on one of ThighHighs tails that were sticking out from under the table as he left.
With a loud pained yelp, ThighHighs hopped to her feet and knocked the table over as she scurried under several more tables; away from the two humans as they walked off. She whimpered pitifully while shaking, confused by the situation. Why was her trainer pretending that she wasn't his Pokémon, was he trying to tell her something? That she wasn’t good enough anymore? Was this a punishment? Her mind raced with increasingly bad thoughts for the next minute before she felt a hand on the top of her head.
"You’re okay girl, come here so I can get a look at it.” Richard coaxed her out from the table and gingerly inspected the tail with a boot print on it. “Doesn't feel broken, must have just surprised you huh?” ThighHighs whimpered, looked off in the direction the two humans left, the back at him with a quizzical tilt of her head. “Them? It’s complicated. Just... If they come back make sure they don’t see you. Now lets go, I need a drink.” He brushed the dirt off her tail’s fur and picked the object off the table, which ThighHighs now got a good look at.
It was a Repeat Ball.
Why did you claim this name and not even use it?
(( Life happens, things change, but I haven’t abandoned this if that is what you mean. Actually I have been planning out the plot for quite a while now and come next week I will be regularly updating and sending asks out again. Until then I’ll be updating the blog’s page a little more and maybe adding a page or two! ))

“Damn it I was tryin to sleep, what the hell is it now?”
...
“No. No no. I’m not scheduled to battle tonight.”
...
“Then what the hell is the point of a damn schedule if we ain’t going to follow it?”
...
“How’s that my problem? I’m not puttin my Pokemon on the line two nights in a row. Don’t care how much you pay me.”
...!
“Yell all ya damn want I’m gettin our two days off like everyone else. Ya got a problem with it you can come here and talk to me face to face.”
Richard thumbed the end call button. Something on the T.V. caught his eye.
“Breaking news: The body of a Drapion has been found on Route 42 near Mahogany Town. While it appears to not be owned by a trainer, it’f wounds suggest it was in some kind of battle. As its species is not native to this region...”
“How’s that my problem...” Richard muttered again.
