Monika just stares in disbelief for a second or two. "Anonymous, I would die for you."

Monika just stares in disbelief for a second or two. "Anonymous, I would die for you."
After the accident, what happened with you and your sister? How did you become a tailor?
Monika sighed. "After the accident, our 'father' spent money like it grew on trees. Julchen and I managed to get out of that situation before he ruined our lives. I became a tailor in order to help us stay afloat. We aren't as wealthy as we were before, but we're comfortable."
[[Tagging @ask-steamtalia-nyoprussia because this mentions Jul]]
So, are you a tailor? Do you work privately or are you a part of a group?
"Yes, I am a tailor. And as for being part of a group... My sister occasionally helps me. But other than that, I work by myself."
Monika looked around her work space, and sighed. Fix this seam, bead that neckline, complete this dress, finish that waistcoat, it was seemed like an enormous pile of work. But she wouldn't trade it for the world.
She sat down at her desk, lit a candle, and went to work on the beading. Sure there were machines that could probably do it for her, but she preferred to do it by hand.
She felt the gaze of the doll in her corner, and Monika hoped that her mother's voice would ring clear from the radio. She had no such luck.
