So how exactly did you get into martial arts? Did you just accidentally shadow kick someone one day and be like "Bruh I could do this and become one of the most badass movie stars ever."

The shadow kick wasn't the reason I got into movies, my looks and charm are. The martial arts? I got bullied a little bit as a kid, didn't take kindly, and kicked someone so hard in the chest, they needed immediate medical attention. So I ran with it. B)

Do you regret marrying Sonya for it all to fall apart? Do you ever feel like Cassie's childhood suffered because of it?

I didn’t marry Sonya expecting her to sink deeper into her work as opposed to being with Cass and I. I’ll even go this far: Everyone expected me to be the fuck up in the relationship, in the marriage, and in the parenting world. I know I like to joke around and all and I may be a little conceited at times, but Sonya was a different woman to me. We saved Earthrealm together, we stood by each other as we watched our friends die, become revenants, and bring a few of them back. She went through odds and ends to save my life from becoming one of them. So going into this with her, I knew that I wasn’t, couldn’t fuck this up with her because I loved her more than anything I’ve known. Then we had Cassie, and it looked like we were going to be closer. The first several years were great. Then we got word of SF business and the pursuit of Kano. I wanted her to stay with us and we can make a great family and to let SF take care of things, but she was too scarred by the past to even consider what I had to say and started taking extra time at SFHQ. It got to a point where Cassie would end up asking some nights if Mommy ran away. How do I fucking explain that to a child? So you know, after a while, I started realizing that things weren’t going to get better. I filed for divorce because I couldn’t handle the pressure anymore of worrying about raising my little girl without her mother there because she chose not to be there. So I guess to answer things… I don’t regret marrying her because of what we have accomplished together, despite all the shit afterwards. I know Cassie would’ve loved to see her mother more. I would’ve too. But Cassie turned out to be a good girl and she really wouldn’t be here without Sonya and I both loving each other to begin with. Saved Earthrealm too just like her old man, right?
