Writing Commissions!
So, I’m in a bit of a rut right now. My last job didn’t work out…at all. I’m unemployed and only have about $80 coming in a month right now. It’s not necessarily dire, considering my parents have no problem letting me stay here until I find another job, but you know I’d like to be able to help out in any way possible cause we’re sort of living paycheck to paycheck as it is.
I had no idea people did writing commissions until recently! I just looked through the tag, and apparently it’s a thing that people do. I’ve been a writer, myself, for years and consider myself to be pretty good at it so I figure why not try and get some money out of it, right?
A common rate I’ve seen is $1 per 200 words, so I’m going to go with that. Examples of my writing can be found here and here.
I’m mostly good at short stories, so I really don’t feel comfortable taking commissions that are more than 10,000 words at the moment. The most I’ve ever written of one work was about 30,000 words, and I never ended up publishing that anywhere.
My specialties in genres are angst/horror/rip your heart out tragedy, though my writing is pretty spread out when it comes to genres, as you’ll see in the links I put up there.
I’ve got a paypal account that I’ll give you the email for if you’re interested. Even if you can’t, or you don’t really like my style of writing, at least signal boost this? It’d be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

in the aftermath of an unpopular opinion, there are all these different groups of people (e.g. angry asshole trying to be a good guy, which i think i am). no smart person gives a shit if you dislike homestuck or not, that's your business. but mainly i think we're angry that you apparently didn't look farther into the comic before judging its art style (see the examples others posted) and that you made a rude post about it at all. no one likes having their fandom insulted, we're fucking humans.
