Reboot incoming
okay... yeah. iām gonna reboot this blog. itās probably long overdue, but i have my reasons which i hope will hold up
ok first i must clarify that whatever happens is iām not deleting this blog, in any sense of the word. this particular blog will get a new archive url and the current one will be reassigned to a fresh blog where it will start again from the beginning. so nothing here will be gone to the void forever
(also i havent forgotten the giveaway! iām gonna try and get prizes out this week! so please dont worry about that!)
my basic reason is that... iāve basically spent the first year orĀ so of this blog writing myself into various corners, and ad-lib-ing the plot almost the whole time. it got really hard for me at various points to gather my thoughts, especially as the blog started evolving into a totally different story than i had built it up into, and many of myĀ ābigā plot points werenāt pre-prepared at all. i made zariyaās character AND design up in the last 10 mins of art class last year and added them to the plot the same day. i did not have a clueĀ what was up. and my dilemma now is that i have this idea in my head that has more developed characters, backstories, plot points, all of that... but the blog itself doesnāt half do it justice. iāve realised i need to step back and have a good long look at it and start afresh.
I really really loveĀ this blog, and all the characters etc that come with it. i canāt bear to just shove it aside after all this time - it is my single most developed and beloved story, after all, and iāve said it many times before. itās basically my baby by now. and in the past year and a bit i have met some really great people and created more art and stories and the like than i ever could have imagined, and iāve gained experience and improved above all! and now iām looking at the early blog and thinkingĀ āi can do this SO much betterā.
knowing what iām doing (as i do now) will help me manage the flow of the story better, deal with asks more rationally, and form better and more accurate (to my ideas) characterisations. i can learn from the experience of running the blog as is now and make it even better in the reboot. all in all i just think this blog and its story would really benefit from being reworked to fit its actual, now-fully-formed narrative and hopefully it would stop me writing myself into difficult plot holes too!
thank you for sticking with this blog over the year-and-a-half iāve had it. itās been really great to learn from this community and meet all of you and i hope in the new blog, which will launch sometime in June if all goes to plan, will do the story more justice than i could do it this time last year!

This character has had a run-in with one of the main group before, and completely by accident neither came out very well for it, one more so than the other. In her case, it pretty much ruined her battling career, and she spends her days begrudgingly lounging around instead of travelling.
