*oh, that… well sometimes when i take my hood off, a burst of light blue flames appears around the rim. don’t worry though, it ain’t real flames. just magic stuff.

*i would show you it but… eh. too lazy.

Cyans, how exactly do you control this new echo flower power of yours???

*well…

*i’m not in complete control, still kinda a new thing. since it’s another magic ‘trick’ though, it’s not too difficult to master - much like my gaster blasters and whatnot. the one thing i have no control of whatsoever, is what the echoes say. like i said, it’s a broken record playing in my mind. sometimes they’ll repeat stuff other monsters have said, sometimes it’s a buncha nonsense. tibia-nest, it gets pretty chattery in my skull, which can be annoying.

*still a pretty cool thing though.

Just gonna say - I made this reference sheet MONTHS ago. In.. February, probably. But I never changed up their design since then so I decided to keep it regardless. :P

Anyway, here’s the info:

Cyantale!Frisk/Chara - Cyantale Info

-CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE COMIC-

They wear a purple sweater, blue shorts, the Faded Ribbon, and brown shoes. The stripes on their sweater and the colour of the ribbon alternate between light blue and red, depending on if it’s Frisk or “Chara”.

When their eyes open, the eyes are either black, or red. Their eyes change drastically during “Chara”, depending on their facial expressions.

Also, as “Chara”, they have pink blush cheeks.

They sometimes equip the Toy Knife, but always wear the Faded Ribbon.

Frisk is around 10-12 years old in this AU.

Cyantale!Frisk or CT for short is incredibly polite in nature, due to their remorse from their past decisions (the killings during their neutral and genocide runs). Out of sudden habit, they will call someone by “Mr.” or “Mrs.” along with the name of the person (such as when CT called Cyans “Mr. Cyans”). Along with that, CT is extremely patient and listens well. They tend to hide their pain with false excitement. As “Chara”, CT is generally heartless and rude. They crave for death and killing, only gaining enjoyment out of it and rarely remorse. They play a tactic in “getting the opponent emotional” in order to go for the kill (such as when CT revealed Alphys’ name tag to Undyne).

In general, not much is known about their past and why they fell into the Underground. However, the feeling of being an outcast to humanity may have played a role in them climbing Mt. Ebott . Naturally, CT never had any Determination. It gradually and mysteriously grew the further into their routes CT went. They also have part of the Light Blue SOUL, or Patience. Hence the reason why they are SUPER patient in nature.

Little facts:

-CT’s original SOUL was “empty”; completely transparent in colour, they were practically soulless -being “soulless” also played a role in their gradual violent nature; the more times they RESET and the more monsters they killed, the farther they felt from actually feeling anything at all; which is why they went into the Genocide route. This is what fed their Determination. -CT’s SOUL is now half and half of Determination and Patience -their sweater’s colours are what make the base colour purple (blue+red) -CT technically has a split personality (Frisk+Chara) -CT also goes by she/her pronouns, because the Light Blue SOUL was a girl -CT also goes by the name “Patience” -they have a love/hate relationship towards chocolate (it’s an addiction they often can’t control) -because CT killed practically everyone in the Underground, other than Cyans, their LV exceeds past 19; making them very strong but also vulnerable -their violent nature is also referred to as “Chara Mode”; they are very agile and strong when at their maximum potential -one of CT’s BIGGEST weaknesses when in Chara mode however, is their childish behaviour; this demeanours their actual potential in them thinking they can “do anything” -like the original Undertale, Chara is but a figment of Frisk’s imagination; portraying the actual First Human but in physicality when Frisk becomes “Chara" -Frisk is left-handed, “Chara” is right-handed

Just a lil Reminder

((I’ve never done this before but I kinda wanna try this out, so...

Once I am finished the first part of my comic Cyantale  (which is coming close to the end! maybe about 2-3 more weeks of updates) I will officially open the ASK box! I wanna make this blog a little more active since it’s been a dead zone for a few months.

Cyans - Cyantale Info

And here is the reference sheet for Cyans! I rushed to get it done. 

-CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS ABOUT THE COMIC-

He wears a black/dark grey hoodie with 4 cyan-coloured bones on the front (2 on each side), a plain white t-shirt, black shorts with cyan stripes, blue slippers, and his brother’s scarf around his neck. Originally, his hoodie was the usual blue, until he ‘transformed’.

Commonly his hoodie will emit a light blue glow, mostly on the left side of his hood.

Other than his outfit, his appearance is the same except for his eye sockets. When neutral, he only has one white pupil in the left eye socket.

The colour scheme of his outfit is based/referenced on Waterfall’s colour scheme.

He wears his brother’s scarf to resemble his anguish.

Typically, Cyans is the same as regular Sans. He’s lazy, loves bad jokes/puns, and of course ketchup. However, the differences in Cyans is his lack of social communication due to his corrupted timeline, in turn fuelling his apathetic behaviour and depression. This makes him DESPERATE to talk to someone- anyone (hence the reason he tried to sound casual with Napstablook; because he felt SO lonely). Because of his little “transformation” he underwent, however, (it was very gradual, but it eventually hit him at the Judgement Hall) he becomes more patient, collected, and desperate to stop the child. On rare occasions he will get REALLY pissed off, but that’s only if his patience has completely run out (again, when he got no answers as to why he became “Cyans”, and when fighting the child). When this happens, it only lasts a short amount of time, and his normal, patient mood returns. And finally, he has an overprotective behaviour at times. When he gets attached to someone, often he will excuse his “laziness” (and 1 HP) and do what it takes to keep those close to him safe. This is usually an uncontrollable phase, and may have something to do with the “echoes” in his head.

Little facts:

-he hates the ‘e’ word (effort; but primarily it’s just an inside joke of his) -his gaster blasters are black with a greenish-yellow aura radiating from their eyes and snout -he summons more light blue bones than regular ones, especially if the opponent is fast -the “echoes” originate from the Echo Flowers repeating things, only they repeat certain events from the overlapped timelines, along with the current one. For example, when Napstablook mentioned “him”, Cyans thought he meant his brother, bringing on the echoes “Alas! Poor Papyrus!” in his skull (in reference to the Genocide run) -the echoes almost never come out in proper sentences. Often words will be out of place, overlap, or repeat over and over. Cyans cannot control what they say, however, he can still understand and tone down the constant noise -only Cyans can hear the echoes because they are scattered about in his skull. UNLESS, he taps his skull. Then an echo can be heard. if you were to ask him what it feels like he’d probably say “ *i guess this is what you people call a ‘headache’.” -he cannot see through his right eye socket; all of his sight and SOUL energy is sustained in his left eye -strangely enough, it was not his brother’s death that motivated him to go to Waterfall, only his curiosity -his strongest/special attack is called “The Last Echo”. This is where translucent light blue roots shoot up from the ground and hold down the opponent. Then, a giant spirit-like Echo Flower shoots through said opponent’s SOUL, stunning them. With that, a long, often thin bone stabs through their SOUL, instantly killing if not heavily damaging the opponent. If the opponent has killed a monster prior, they will hear the echoes of the monster(s) last words before death. -the problem however is this completely drains out Cyans, so he only uses it when absolutely needed -for aesthetic reasons, sometimes when he pulls his hood down, an illusional light blue fire will flare up around the rim of his hood -also, sometimes when he walks he’ll leave a glowing trail of blue that disappears after a short time -he has no purple magic (karmic retribution or KR) -his SOUL is outlined with the light blue colour -the glow that appears on his hoodie varies in brightness depending on his mood as well. If Cyans is angered/flustered, the glow is much brighter. If he is calm or focused, the glow is very faint, and so on.

-he wears his hood a lot of the time. Why? It’s a way of forcing him not to look back (at all the carnage and death/dust behind)

That’s about all I got so far for him. There might be little updates here and there but you get the gist!

So I figure now’s the time to upload the reference sheets and such of the characters that have been revealed in Cyantale (I’m doing it one at a time, don’t want to spoil the designs that have not been shown yet in the comic)

This is Cyantale!Papyrus aka ‘Flashback Pap’.

He is Papyrus when he was a baby bone (7 or 8 ish), so the size of a small child.

He wears a light blue scarf, a white t-shirt with a skull on the front that has a blue heart on its forehead, two red oven mitts, yellow pants, and red boots.

He wears the primary colours that were picked by Sans as a symbol of how important Papyrus was to Sans (hence the “primary” part).

He wears oven mitts to show his love for cooking.

As for the t-shirt - he always wears it, but he is not quite sure how or where he got it (much spoilers)

He’s a lot like the regular Papyrus- outgoing, open to friendship, and bragging about himself. However he’s sensitive to emotions and cries quite a bit, even over the silliest stuff.

So yeah, that’s about as much I got with CT!Papyrus.

So Cyans is pretty exhausted from the events at the timeparty.

He met up with @fox-pear ‘s SoleTale!Frisk and now they’re pretty much together (or as he calls it their sole - mate). He got his first kiss or ‘clink’ for that matter which was pretty funny. There was a huge masquerade that suddenly turned into a freakshow of possessed mask people. Quite a few people got killed or at least from what he saw. Aaaand once things settled down later last night he played truth or dare with a fresh frizk, craft!sans and undertell!sans. The undertell!sans was pretty much flirting with Cyans (which Cyans got pretty annoyed about) aaaand then some more chaos happened so Cyans just decided ‘the hell with this i’m going back home’.

By the way the events/people he hangs with/ships/etc. that happen at the timeparty/any other rp parties are not relevant to the original Cyantale story. It’s just little bits of fun that Cyans gets forcibly involved in.

Also the character at the left of this picture is Cyantale!Frisk that I have yet to reveal (both in the comic and as a character reference).

So yeah, fun fun times and good laughs.

Welcome to Cyantale

Where the title can be quite misleading.

This is a side blog run by @sidfox​ aka me where I will be posting character bios, doodles and answering questions regarding this AU (asks will be mostly run by my Sans AU ‘Cyans’, hence the name of this blog).

What is Cyantale?

Cyantale is an AU where the colour cyan is heavily symbolized. From Echo Flowers to SOULs to everything in between.

In this AU, Frisk takes on the Genocide route after so many resets during their neutral runs. However, the countless amounts of resets from and during their routes has corrupted the files, resulting in the overlapping of a few timelines. Because of this, monsters who perish are gone forever. Which means if Frisk were to kill a monster, go back to their last SAVE file BEFORE killing that specific monster, the monster would be nothing more than a pile of dust. Using this to Frisk’s advantage, they wander through the Underground mysteriously, killing every monster - some without initiating a FIGHT (this is due to how corrupted the files are - think of it as a disruption to the game’s mechanics), This includes the deaths of Flowey (being completely powerless by Frisks’ own SAVE ability) and King Asgore (whom is far too full of grief to even fight). The only living monster left is Sans. So, what does Sans do? Takes a stroll through Waterfall to calm himself as things begin to unfold, which in turn changes his appearance somehow, into what he calls ‘Cyans’ (yeah, a colour pun with a hint of laziness. Typical Sans.).
