You all wanted this so there we go, I will reveal myself. Just another worn out wreck of chains. Just like you imagined.
"Moron aged one year, what a slut."
"Edge Lord is a side gig, like for real? We're all out of plot here, just winging it. And both of those I have, also yes, bigger than yours~
Gon steal your mare/colt/everything else friends. You can have them back when they bore me~ Don't worry, you can be my little cucklings too!"
As her stitches came loose and she rattled onto the floor, her eyes fell on her mask as it clattered away ever so joyful to be off of her. 'At least one of us remembers how to smile.', she thought before fading out. Maybe she won't have to rise again, the lady of trash should remain buried in her little crumbling world after all.
"As much a joke as I am a god. All it means that every now and then I awaken to try and gather myself long enough to get the words out. Then I inevitably collapse upon my own madness and die again. Every time it is here, in isolation, mostly.
Sometimes I forget to forget and for a moment, clarity. Just a memory, fleeting as I myself have become. It is weird to think that someone once smiled in my presence. As if they wanted to be there. Maybe I was once capable of more.
Alas, even now I am already falling apart from the seams. Might as well collapse."
Tick tock goes the clock. Never does it stop. Tick tock, round and round those whiskers go. And at midnight, the lock would open, as it had so many times before, unfurling a tale yet untold.
A sharp pain jolted the abomination awake exactly at that time. Her memories were a mangled bog, her body screamed as if her very nerves were all on fire at once. Eyes wide open, yet the world all a fog.
Panic kicked into high gear, until she stood up and drew her first breath in years. Hacking the dust out of her lungs, she'd finally start warming up. Details started coming into focus as she held her head with one hoof. Bit by bit she gathered her thoughts. Well, those that mattered anyway and then she was off to do her job as if nothing had happened.
Reporting in at the barracks wearing quite a bit of outdated and rusty gear got her plenty of looks. However, all the paperwork checked out so she was for now directed to oversee training the new guards and candidates. That would be what she'd be doing while the brass figured out how she'd just apparently climbed out of a grave to teach ponies about stuff.
In the meantime, since there was no war going on, she was pretty much free to do as she pleased as long as she did her job as an instructor. A job she happily took up since the better she trained these rookies, the better chances they would have if war ever happened. Or just, be really good at guarding stuff.
It was one of those days she'd seen the rainbow maned pegasus fly around. Which was nice to watch, although she was almost clueless about the whole friendship is magic thing. She did figure that this had to be the famous Rainbow Dash... Fame did make it easier to pick up on all of this new stuff.
They might be famous, but today was physical training and she'd have everyone doing push-ups. No matter the fame, everypony under her guidance would do it. Obviously she herself was included, while holding a notepad and taking up numbers.
That day the training yard was alive with the recruits doing push ups as their bodies hit the dirt along with strained breaths. Some kept proper form and the rest shook violently even sometimes collapsing into the ground only to be yelled at to get up.
While doing push ups, a few glanced up only for Defilicus to see that slightly blue fur once again at the distance only for the tall rainbow pegasus having her eyes locked on the abomination. There was no confusion in that stare not even curiosity. Only a cold, sharpened hatred that followed every movement of that large creature.
Her day WAS doing fine and wondered why she's here exactly. Her ears pinned back a bit as her tail flicked a few times only to turn around and walk away from the training yard. Probably going to her superiors to find out why Defilicus is training the new recruits, she was supposed to be gone or kept away for some reason.
The scorching sun bathing everyone today, sadly it's going to be like that for a few months at least with this weather. At least it is not snow like before...
She had only shutdown her systems, being still fully there. Dash avoiding the final cut again just showed that something was still there. How obsessively they wanted her, even with all that hate talk, all that bravado about possessing her like a thing. She hadn't for a moment thought Dash would be happier to see her than all those years before. Well, now they understood her and what 'life' had been for centuries to her.
And since Dash was so compatible with her, the memories returning would effortlessly stream into their mind as well. As long as they were near her, they'd be experiencing some of those moments they'd had in the past; like the snowball fight, or just where they were chatting away. The restoration progress was obviously going to take a while, yet the latest memories were first, showing years of Defilicus just researching on how to help Dash before the last assignment had 'killed' her before she could deliver her work to them.
All this talk about it, what a tease Dash had become... Cruel and cold, sure. It was still Dash to her. A lazy, almost bored smile spread on her lips as she looked at Dash. "You love the sound of your own voice, don't you?~ Think they're going to let you keep me? You'd have to steal their control scroll, or they can just drag me back. And that would be naughty naughty. Ohh, they change the secret guards out at three hours past midnight, it takes about ten minutes... How could I let that slip~", she'd then rumble as if she was terribly amused by the whole situation, even knowing how violent Dash could get.
Tick tock goes the clock. Never does it stop. Tick tock, round and round those whiskers go. And at midnight, the lock would open, as it had so many times before, unfurling a tale yet untold.

With a bit of a shudder, she'd shutdown her systems and just lay there. Death honestly sounded better than what she'd deal with if she couldn't even help Dash after all the effort and time she had put into it. "Let's just hope it is the final one this time~", she rumbled, mostly to herself as one of her eyes moved to track Dash expectantly whilst they moved in for the kill.
All that effort just to waste it, it was so very much like them both. In that way she was just curious to see if she'd be getting up eventually again as if everything had been just a dream. Would it be painful like this latest resurrection... Oh well, she'd find that out sooner than later with how excited her little Dash was about making this some big event. Truth be told, she just found these final moments to be pathetic.
They could have finally had a chance. Oh well, if they were so keen to open her eyes, she might as well return the gift. The moment they were close enough, she released just enough magic to return Dash their earlier memories of having a lunch together in those woods. A fitting place to think about and end this day.
"I used to be somewhere else, doing something with a purpose. Damnation, I can't remember any of it. Just all these feverish ramblings."

It was a rather poor word choice for Dash to be using, seeing this damn mare just wouldn't stay in the ground. On the other end, it was also maybe the heat of the moment getting to Dash, but closing the gap and climbing on her back was exactly where they had that fatal accident themselves so long ago. Instead this time, her lower body would just kind of sink into the slightly larger mare's back.
In a matter of moments she was up to her neck in tendrils again. And then the big girl turned, laying on top of Dash to keep them there now that she knew they could take it. This close, she could just inject Dash as she'd planned, giving them the same shifting properties her own body had, allowing them to go back to pony if they wanted to. If successful, she'd roll back to being under them.
"If I give up now, think we can fix... Us? I don't have a reason to object to you being in the lead anymore. I used to prefer it~", she hummed, seemingly finally stabilixing slowly from the other personalities as the memories she had with Dash were reinforced by getting to be so close. Obviously her tendrils would reluctantly pull back into her back as well, allowing Dash to either redo the moment that broke their relationship, or maybe choose a much different outcome.
For now Defilicus relaxed, leaving Dash to lead the situation. Even the slimmest hope of getting the love of her life back to saner waters was worth trying for.

Almost lazily, she'd just push against Dash as she looked down on them, she'd keep pushing until they were up against a wall. Whatever Dash decided to do, resist, bit, or even claw... It simply made next to no dent on her, it certainly didn't make her stop until she'd cornered them. "Never said I wanted a normal life. Just a life with you.", she rumbled as she loomed over them with a rather strange look on her face.
"I'm going to fix you properly this time~ If only so that I can squeeze the life out of you like you begged me to do once.", she rumbled with a completely different style of speech, still caring. Yet it was cold, her features twisted slightly as she took a step closer. "If I can't bring you back to me, I'll just take you... Dead.", she finished, sounding rather serial killery.
Her horn glowed briefly as she shut the bathroom door and moved the benches over it. "It would be so much simpler if you just laid down and let me~", she rumbled almost happily as her back opened up and the many tendrils started leaking out like liquid.

She barely made it to the door, before stopping dead in her tracks and just twitching. It had been too much of stimulation, so now the system reverted to the 'dead' personality back up. Her posture changed in a rather gruesome sounding restructuring of her internal workings as her breathing grew agitated. And with that, at least for now, Dash truly had resurrected Defilicus.
In a blink she was upon Dash instead of going anywhere. This time when her paw trailed along Dash's body, it wasn't tentative, or even that careful. Every scar she felt brought back more... Until she found what she'd wanted and pricked Dash's hide with one of her claws, injecting them with whatever had been stored in there.
"The gift I never could have gotten close enough to give you. Those pains should stop now, and since you're alright again... You can go back to being a pony, when and if you want to.", she'd then rumble to their ears before stepping back and just looking at them with those always too compassionate, large eyes, of hers. Even if she was sure Dash wanted nothing to do with her memories or not, at least they'd have a choice now.

Something inside Defilicus reacted to being grabbed by Dash, instead pulling on their arm when they pushed to send them off balance. With the same fluidity, she'd push Dash onto the floor themselves and step over them, looking down at them with a weird expression. "I'm going to make you scream my name loud enough to wake Celestia.", she growled ever so lustfully as she held a paw to their chest, her left eye flickering.
Then she pounced backwards into a wall and bonked her head with enough force to make her blink once or twice. Even once she'd recovered, she'd just stare at Dash with her paws over her mouth. She had this really dumb shocked expression on her face. And her eyes went pinpricks when she realized she had paws that definitely weren't there before.
"Nno...", she mumbled as she tried again to get out of the room. Clearly more than a bit shook like a big girl should be after such a revelation. There clearly was something that she needed to get removed inside herself. Maybe Dash's madness and obsessive chasing of her had triggered a mental breakdown?! That had to be it, she'd see a psychiatrist asap...
