Pre-yan office assistant who smiles just a little too brightly when you praise another employee before subtly inserting himself into the conversation, his voice almost sickeningly sweet as he somehow becomes even more affectionate while you could almost see how hard he's gritting his teeth as the conversation continues
Pre-yan office assistant who flirts more... Intensely after, becoming even more touchy towards you and gazing at you through those half lided eyes, so reminiscent of all those time he had offered... Special favors to the department manager to keep his job after a mishap yet the ever tightening grip on your arm tells a much different story
"Oh don't look at me like that, they've had your attention for ten whole minutes, be merciful, boss"
"Though I suppose I see where they're coming from. What? It's true"
"But I'd never bore you like them, you know, not for a single moment"
You noticed it before he did, and although his... Dependency towards you was somewhat concerning, you could also see him start to change in other ways as well, good ways even
He wasn't seeking as much validation from others anymore nor was he making stupid decisions with relationships or the thing in his pants, and sometimes he was spending more time simply existing around you, not performing, not entertaining, just existing, and for someone like him that is big
You could see him improving little by little, one day at a time, becoming less reactive, less desperate somewhat, less convinced that every little thing will mean abandonment. Sometimes he'd leave your office without needing reassurance, even going an entire weekends without spiralling, and a few times you had gotten him to simply accept care without suprise
They were tiny, invisible victories, but slowly, each became a stepping stone for him and you had already decided to remain day after day, month after month, providing him the same consistency again and again as you wait for the day he truly believes that, even without his face, even without you beside him, he is enough
You're patient and you love him, you'll wait however long he needs, until he no longer needs you like this
But maybe if you had been looking closer at him, paid more attention and been more careful, maybe you could've stop it

It happened on an ordinary day, it was supposed to be an ordinary day. The first quarter had just begun and the building was still bustling with activity despite it being evening as employees worked to meet their deadline and such, busier than average but not that unusual for the first quarter while the company launches new initiatives and sets their targets for the year
And he was rushing, late, distracted, trying to handle too many things simultaneously because he always thought he could squeeze one more task into the day, because he believed consequences only happened to other people, because you're patience had already been wearing thin by mid day and you accidentally glared at him this morning
It was just one more message, another little errand, only a single small thing in the grand scheme of things. You had already told him to slow down three separate times, he had laughed it off all three times
Then it all went wrong too fast, the kind of mistake that only takes seconds. One moment he hurrying through the office, trying to balance his manager's steaming porcelain coffee mug, because of course that bastard didn't like the normal cups everyone else uses, while carrying too many things already and half distracted from his task as his phone chimes with your daily reminder for him to eat-
An impact, something or someone crashing into him, or did he crash into it? Chaos erupted around him and he didn't understand, there was a noise, something shattering near his ear then- a voice? No, a scream, pained and raw and-

Pain, blinding, searing pain was all he could process as blood dripped down his chin on to the crimson splattered carpet, the papers he had been carrying scattered all over and becoming stained with red while the panicked voices around him blur together into incoherence
Yet it was all forgotten for a moment when he heard his phone ding, the little jingle he had set just for your texts, even as the cracked screen stayed dark. On instinct, he immediately grabbed his phone even as the world is strangely blurry, his fingers already moving to reply before he caught his reflection in the black screen and-
Red. So much red. Streaming down his face from multiple shards of porcelain lodged in the right side of his face, in his eye- his eye! He can't- he can't see- he can't feel that part anymore, why can't he- fuck- everything else burns so why-
He didn't even notice his world slowly tilting, didn't notice the ringing in his ears drowning out the frantic scramble of his co-workers, yet one thing cut through everything, his last coherent thought as the world went dark
You warned him
And afterwards nothing was the same
The doctors had did all they could to salvage what they can but the mix of multiple porcelain shards embedding themselves deep in his flesh and the third and second degree burns from the scalding hot coffee left one side of his face horrifically scarred
Not completely monstrous, but enough for people to recoil before they can stop themselves. And for the first time in his life, people stop being kind automatically
Conversation he used to carry with ease become awkward, sometimes pitying in a way that felt worse than cruelty ever could but most times it simply made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Some people avoid looking directly at him, others compensate with fake gentleness that hurt much more
But the shame is even worse as every warning replays in his head over and over again, every conversation you tried to have about it and he brushed off, every concerned reminder, every time you told him to be careful in that exasperated tone
He starts convincing himself that you must be so disappointed in him, even if you would be too kind to say it, but he now knows just how much worry he caused you
He expects you to finally leave too, because why wouldn't you? How many times have you scolded him and warned him of something like this happening?
No matter how patient or kind or... Perfect you are, there had to be limits to your generosity, there just had to be, and surely he had finally reached it with this act of absolute stupidity
Without his face he's just... Just him, stupid, needy, useless, him, what part of that would ever make you want to stay? People had only ever stayed while he was worth loving after all

You were furious, of course you were, but not for the reason he expected because no matter how angry you are about being proven right yet again or about his reckless mistake, what had truly pissed you off was the fact he talked about it like some moral failing, like he deserved what happened
You had cut him off after listening to several minutes of self blame, yes, he made a mistake, an incredibly stupid one, and now he is going to recover and you are going to help him
That was it. He almost didn't believe you at first, but you aren't someone who goes back on your word
You visit him in the hospital every single day you could, showing up in his room like clockwork with no hesitation each time you open the door and unflinchingly look directly at him before greeting him like you always had as if the scars aren't there, as if he's still him
You would bring him things he had mentioned liking once, his favorite takeout order from that one small family owned restaurant, that designer jacket he joked he would look better in than the model, and every time you would bring two cups of coffee, one always with an extra shot of espresso
Sometimes you'd talk about work, giving updates about the latest gossip at the office or telling stupid little stories to fill the silence on days where the quiet of the hospital room got too much for him
Day after day, week after week, you keep showing up, sending him morning messages, checking on appointments, bringing food he actually likes, making sure he remembers medication, helping him navigate paperwork, giving assistance without comment
Eventually your kindness became too unbearable for him and he snapped, breaking down in front of you
"Why? Why are you still here? Why aren't you disgusted by me too?"
"What-what do you see that's worth all of this? Just look at me! I'm nothing now! I'm... I'm nothing now..."
"So... So why are you still looking at me like- like that...?"
Maybe you would say something, perhaps finally saying your truth in your specific way, or maybe you didn't, maybe you just held him while he cried him sick, but either way you stayed with him, you stayed even when he's at his absolute worse, still looking at him like he's the same while he can't even face his own reflection
You stayed when he has nothing to give but himself, his fragile and pathetic self, because you care about him and something in him quietly settled without him realizing, without either of you realizing, he doesn't need to be anything, he just needs to be yours
Yandere office assistant who's started measuring his life through you, it's impossible for him not to, you've become part of every day while he was in the hospital as if you weren't already, there for every small achievement, every step forward, every breakdown
Yandere office assistant who's favorite moments involve you, his mind often wandering to them while he waited for your daily visit and sometimes, on the rare occasion you're late, he would replay them in his head over and over again until you finally open that door
Yandere office assistant who's safest place is beside you, everything else feels distant when he's with you, the aching pain of his scars, the pitying stares that now follow him, the lingering memories from nightmares, all of it just fading in your presence

Though perhaps he was a bit too excited when you offered him a position as your personal assistant after he had "worried" about his department manager firing him now that he can't hide behind his face
You frame it practically, a better work environment that's familiar enough to aid in the recovery process, something to help him get back on his feet and just until he can walk through the world on his own again and it's truly sweet how you still believe he can live without you eventually
He had accepted immediately, maybe far too quickly, you noticed but he didn't care, only showing up for his first day as your assistant and walking through the familiar building wearing an outfit that just so happens to perfectly match your taste, with his second best assets visible of course
It's the most beautifully dressed he's been in a long time and it's all because of you. He could feel his old coworkers eyes on him, on his scars then on his outfit, they stare, they whisper, but it all fades into the background once your eyes land on him, widening just a bit as you take his new look in, and he can't help but truly smile as he greets you like he used to, just with a certain... Intensity now
Yandere personal assistant who becomes absurdly devoted to you, he'd abandon his own needs instantly at a simple call from you, staying awake multiple nights in a row just to help lessen your workload and memorizing entire schedules at your request, and he'll be the happiest he's ever been while doing it

Yandere!Mimic has a "glitch" when he gets overwhelmed by possessiveness. If he sees you flirting with someone else while he’s in a disguise, his physical form starts to slip. His fingers might grow an extra knuckle, or his voice might drop three octaves into a distorted, static-filled growl mid-sentence. It’s the only warning you get before things get dangerous.
Yandere!Mimic keeps a "shrine" of your belongings, but it’s not just photos. He practices transforming into you. He’ll stand in front of a mirror in your empty house, wearing your clothes and mimicking your exact gait and smile. He wants to know you so perfectly that he can eventually replace the world around you entirely, becoming the only person you ever need to interact with.
Yandere!Mimic finds "human" boundaries hilarious. He doesn’t see the issue with morphing into a small cat to sleep at the foot of your bed, or becoming a shadow on your wall just to watch you sleep. To him, being "near" you is a physical necessity, like breathing, and he will occupy every inch of your private space whether you know he's there or not.
Yandere!Mimic eventually stops pretending to be people you know and starts creating "perfect" strangers to bump into you. He wants to see if he can make you fall in love with a dozen different versions of himself. If you show interest in one of his "characters," he’ll keep that skin for weeks, slowly isolating you from your real friends until he is the only face you see in the morning and the last one you see at night.
Yandere!Mimic will eventually drop the act when he realizes you’re getting suspicious. He won't go back to a human form; he’ll settle into a "base" form that is almost human but just wrong enough to be terrifying too tall, too pale, with eyes that reflect light like a predator's. He’ll tell you that since you’ve seen what’s "under the hood," he can never let you leave the house again. After all, why would you need the world when he can be the whole world for you?
Yandere!Mimic loves to test your intuition. He’ll cook your favorite meal while disguised as your roommate, but he’ll deliberately leave out one key ingredient or add something you’re slightly allergic to, just to see if you notice the "glitch" in his performance. He finds your confusion adorable.
Yandere!Mimic will "delete" people from your life who get too close. If you have a best friend he views as a threat, he won't just scare them away he’ll take their shape, meet you for coffee, and "break up" with you as that friend. He’ll make the argument so nasty and personal that you’ll never want to speak to the real person again.
Yandere!Mimic has a terrifying habit of "double-visiting." You’ll spend an entire evening laughing with a version of him disguised as your cousin, only for the real cousin to text you an hour later saying they’re sorry they couldn't make it. The realization that you were trapped in a room with a monster for four hours sends him into fits of giggles.
Yandere!Mimic becomes incredibly possessive of your reflection. He’ll stand behind you while you’re brushing your teeth, mimicking your exact height and posture so that for a split second, you see two of "you" in the mirror. He whispers into your ear using your own voice, telling you that you’re the only person he’ll ever truly "copy" with love.
Yandere!Mimic uses his shapeshifting to gaslight you into thinking you’re losing your mind. He’ll move furniture, change the color of your curtains while you’re in the shower, or transform into a stranger who claims they’ve known you for years. He wants you to feel so detached from reality that he is the only "anchor" you have left to cling to.
Yandere!Mimic doesn't understand human pain properly. If you get a scratch or a bruise, he might transform into a "doctor" to examine you, but his touch is too cold and his eyes are too wide. He’ll tell you that if you just let him "incorporate" you let him mimic you perfectly you’ll never have to feel pain or aging again. You can both just exist as one shifting, eternal mass.
Kai and Max both come from families that are well off in terms of 💴 so i imagined if they went to the same school, Maxie would rush out during every break to meet up with Kai ^^* (even though they're in different years lol)

I managed to draw something for Mayblade! yay :D
I probably won't have time to draw another but I'll seeee
Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho is one of my other favourite characters, so when I saw this prompt I got the idea to draw Kai dressed as Hiei! XD
The anatomy didn't come out as well as I liked, but didn't want to spend too long on it. I just have to keep trying to improve! (I have a long way to go still)
