I know many people (me included) like to assume that Hilary fell first for Tyson but that one scene from G-Revolution where Tyson is in denial about his love for Hilary makes me wonder if he fell first lol.

It’s definitely interesting considering Tyson’s lack of interest in romance and is dense head in that direction.

Re-watching Psi really helps seeing new perspectives of the reboot characters. One of them would be Sora's need to be there for Taichi.

In the official profile, they stated them as childhood friends that go way back before the Digimon crisis happened. The writers didn't need to emphasis the bond between them being the oldest and the closest in the show but they did it in a way it shows throughout the series. There is familiarity there, undeniably so with the amount of screen time they have with each other. In the first adventure, Sora was there with Taichi. Was also there when they embarked together to the mountain and learned of the war that happened in the Digital World.

Sora in the reboot, was shown to be there for him and Taichi? He's grateful, acknowledges her effort and is happy when he's with her. You can really tell they spend a lot of time together in their world. And they continued to do so even in the Digital World.

She was there every step of the way until they have to separate and formed into two teams. And when they did reunite and once again, separated by force (protection from Angemon), she chose to rush and find Taichi.

The two of them embarked on the journey together again to reunite with the others. Taichi and Sora have also been there to hear once again, the ancient tales of the war. And why is that? The writers wanted to let the audience know they are there for each other. And that bond--Was shown clearer in episode 40. She cares a lot over his safety and is shown to be quite protective when something happen to him. This appeared in the flashback as well.

I would say that Digimon Up feels like a massive disappointment to most Digimon fans because we don’t have any other mobile game to turn to!

If this came out when there were other style of mobile games available for Digimon, it would not bother so many of us that much.We could all simply chose to ignore it and go play the game we actually enjoy.

But launching a game to an international fanbase after so long and it being an idle/gacha/ad based cash grab seriously does not make sense to me at all.

I don’t know why Bandai doesn’t want to genuinely make a good sustainable mobile game for Digimon.

So many people like me from third world (hate to use this definition but it is what it is) can’t always afford expensive consoles and games but we all do have a stable phone and play mobile games daily. If the games are good and worth it, we invest money into it too (RIP my bank statement of July which is just transactions to Pokemon Go Web store 🌚) .

I personally don’t like needless cash grab tactics (SCOPELY YOU MO-) but I also understand that they’re another cog in the wheel for a franchise’s sustenance.

But before Digimon gets there, couldn’t we have gotten a decent game which is actually fun to play for Digimon fans? A cozy game on raising Digimon in the Digital World which could be monetised for customisations, a Pokemon Masters EX type of setting in the Digital World which lets us collect tamers with partners, different costumes released for alternate evolutions and a story focused turn battle systems, or god just launch Alysion!

I’m just saying, that I would’ve felt differently about Digimon Up if it was released after Alysion or in a scenario where Digimon mobile games were fairly established.

I’m sorry but this has to be the worst Digimon mobile game to come out ever. I’m actually going to pretend that it didn’t happen and just wait for Alysion.

(And yes I unlocked the Farm, Camp and other features, it is nowhere close to the quality we had in Links).

But hey! The opening screen changes according to the time of the day! And it’s cool that the Digimon appearing on it also change.

But that’s it.

As far as the sprites are concerned, they might be good but it doesn’t warrant for the rest of the game which is just-

Terrible.

They could’ve released a web page with puzzles or something that let us collect the sprites rather than investing time and money into this game 😭

Idk man does Bandai genuinely not care about having a strong Digimon fan base through different medium of games?

Why not make a Pokemon Unite sort of game for Digimon? I mean arguably Unite is one major cash grab, however, IT IS FUN.

For franchises where battle plays a huge role in the overall appeal, making that part of the game automatic with the only way the player can contribute being rolling gachas and clicking on multiple things on the screen to collect level-up rewards is just. Idk. Horrendous.

Personally not enjoying the interface of Digimon Up, not what I expected from a Digimon mobile game to be honest.

Maybe it’s on me for not properly following the teasers and tutorials.

I’ll wait for Alysion….

bro, i desperately need people to learn that romance is an actual, literal genre of fiction. if you do not like a complete focus on romance and only like romantic plotlines incorporated into various other plots - you do not like the romance genre and you are not interested in romance fiction. simple as that. and it's fine if you don't like it, but pretending like the entire genre doesn't exist and is actually all badly written fiction of other genres which is overly focused on romance is asinine. yet somehow continues being a sentiment i see all the time. romance fiction is not lacking in plot or over-concerned with romantic relationships - it's literally doing what it was designed to do: centers mostly or even exclusively around romance.
