What is one thing you love about Regina?

I guess if I had to pick one thing, I would probably say that she’s always there when I most need her to be. That may not always be a good thing, especially if I’m trying to break the curse. But I also know that some other kids don’t have parents who care what their kids are up to. So I guess I am lucky.

“Then look it a different way,” Snow advised gently. Potions had never been her easiest subject either. If it weren’t for Ruby, she was fairly certain she would have failed her first year of Potions. “Each of these has three to four ingredients needed in order to brew - and they’re typically all next to each other within the cupboard. Does Professor Mills still allow you to brew your potions with a partner?”

“You can brew potions with a partner?” That idea amazed Henry. It seemed like such a simple solution to his problem. Maybe he could find someone who was good a potions and in return Henry would help them in any other subjects they may be struggling in. It could be the solution he was needing, and not just for his potions class. He pondered over that and nodded. “I could ask her and see what she says.”

So long as you promise to stop with this rumor nonsense. I’m sorry, Henry. But the rumor isn’t true. I don’t have Professor Doryu under any potion or spell or vice versa.

I’ll take that as a compliment. I’m not ashamed of being just like my mother or my father even. I’m the best parts of both of them, I know it just like everyone else does. But I’ll tell my mom you said that. She’ll probably get all weird like she does whenever people compliment her or talk about how I’m just like her. I’ll stop with the rumor if you tell me one thing. How do you make a love potion?

I would appreciate that and I know you’re simply trying to help, but perhaps just let it be. Rumors die out once people stop talking about them. And I– Wait a minute. See me happy..? Did you come to to ask me about it because you wanted it to be true?

Of course I want it to be true! Do you know how cool it would be to have a dragon in the family! But yeah I think it would be cool to see you happy all the time. Your smile is so pretty Auntie, and if Professor Doryu is the one to bring it out in you, then of course I think you should be together.

Weekend time in the castle brought a new routine for the Locksleys. Instead of spending it at their cottage, or out and about with their son, it was now spent at the comfort of their small, cozy chamber at Hogwarts. It was hard, spending weekends away from Henry, but Regina didn’t want to hover. Robin was right, their son needed his space, no matter how tempted she was to check up on him. That day though, Regina retreated to her office to have some last minutes preparations before her classes for the next week. A teacher’s work seemed to be endless, some days! She didn’t expect any company outside of her regular office hours, but when the door was opened, Regina nearly got knocked off her feet as someone burst inside and ran straight towards her. Henry. “Sweetheart, slow down!” She laughed, heart bursting with love to see that smile on his face. “What did you do today?”

Henry knew that sometimes he got too excited for his own good and that sometimes he didn’t know how to express that besides just screaming and running. He grinned up at his mother and still felt like dancing and screaming from the top of his lungs. His smile widened as he looked up at his mother. The rate he was growing, he knew that one day he wouldn’t have to look up at her so much and may even be taller than her, but he was sure that that was something his mother didn’t want to think about. He gave a glance back at his father behind him as a way to thank him yet again for his amazing day before returning his attention back to his mother. “I went flying today! Like on an actual broom and everything! I even managed to get off the ground too mum!”

HP AU: If you were an animagus, what creature would you like to turn into? What would you do with your animagus powers?

I think I’d want to be an owl. Because you can fly, but then you also have the responsibility of delivering messages to everyone which means you’d always be useful. Unless witches and wizards switched to how Muggles send letters.

HP AU: Favourite magical creature?

Hmm that’s tough. I love so many magical creatures and would one day love to see them all. Hippogriffs may be cool to fly but I think it would be very cruel to keep one as a pet.

HP AU: What would amortentia smell like to you?

I dunno.I’m not really interested in anyone that way so it would be interesting to see if the potion would even work on me you know.

HP AU: What do you think of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger?

They are such legends around here! Plus its kinda cool that my parents went to school with them. My dad especially was in the same year and house as them! I really look up to them and always hope to bring pride to Gryffindor, just like they all did.

I would love to be considered an Thunderbird, but know I’d probably be a Horned Serpent.

HP AU: Favorite potion?

I’m embarrassed to say this out loud, but potions is kinda the class I’ve been struggling the most with this year, so I have yet to make a potion completely perfect on my own. When I make my first potion, that’ll be my favorite potion.

HP AU: If you had to, would you rather fight a basilisk or a dragon?

Probably a basilisk since I know how not to get turned into stone. Plus I’ve always wanted to wield the sword of Gryffindor.

HP AU: What's your favourite spell?

I don’t know if I have one yet. I have learned so much over this year but also know I have so much more to learn. It’s hard to choose just one spell I love the most.

[hp au] Thoughts on Albus Dumbledore and thoughts on Lord Voldemort?

I wish I had the chance to meet Albus Dumbledore. Everyone always talks about how great of a wizard he was and I feel like he taught my parents so much. I would’ve loved the chance to learn from him too. And for Voldermort... I’m glad he’s gone.

She’s the best auntie in the whole world! And also I love to tease her from time to time just like my mother does, because I’m my mother’s son.

Ruby chuckled and tousled his hair. “In that case I’ll have to show you the secret passageway to my Granny’s pub in Hogsmead so you can sneak off to Honeydukes.” She was kidding about that, for the most part. She did plan to get him some sweets though. He was a good kid and he deserved a treat every now and then. She gave him a little shrug. “That hat knows what’s best for us. Maybe you just haven’t had your time to show your bravery yet, but you’re a good kid with a big heart and your true Gryffindor will shine the longer you’re here.”

Henry grinned at the thought of being able to have a secret passageway to Hogsmead. He did miss living there and at least didn’t think he’d get lost if he went by himself. Though he also knew that his mother may have something to say about him doing that so he’d probably have to think about some before agreeing to it. He grinned and nodded again. “Thanks Ruby. It means a lot to me that you have so much confidence in me. I hope that you’re right and one day I can see my bravery.”

I-I am most certainly not blushing, Henry. I’m annoyed, yes annoyed. Rumors are being spread about my personal life. And it sounds like my own nephew is helping them along.

I haven’t told one word to anyone about this to anyone. You have to believe me auntie, that when I first heard this rumor, I ran straight to you and ask you about it. But if it’s not true, I’ll tell everyone to stop talking about it. I just want to see you happy, is all Auntie.
