Eren’s eyes widened a little at the other’s appearance in his room. Of all the people he expected would visit him in the hospital, Jean was not one of them. He forced a pained smirk and replied, “I’ve had worse…”

He nodded and placed the flower filled vase by his bedside table. “You know, because you these I was being teased but seeing a girl here. Got a few strange stairs when I asked for you, Jaeger.” He placed a horse plushie on the table beside the flowers.

The tips of Eren’s ears turned pink as he saw the flowers. It confused him a little that Jean was being so nice, but he wasn’t complaining. He let out a small laugh at the horse plushie and gave a wry grin. “And here I thought you hated being likened to a horse,” he said, rolling his eyes. He pressed the button for more pain medication, silently scolding himself for thinking that running a shopping cart off the roof for $100 was a good idea.

"Well…I seem to be the only one that calls me a horse so…I guess it’s kind of a joke between us." He got a worried look on his face. "I saw the fall. You okay, idiot?"

Eren let out a short laugh at Jean’s explanation. He gestured to his various cuts and scrapes and said, “Well, I made it out with only a broken arm and leg, so I’d say I’m pretty good.” Eren’s face was pretty busted up too- a large gash running from his forehead to his right cheek and other small scrapes and bruises. “All I have to say is that this definitely wasn’t worth the $100 I got out of it…”

"Guess it'll all go towards the bill, huh?" Jean felt a bit bad for all this. He called Eren a chicken and said he couldn't do it and it happened at his party. "Do you need anything?" he asked, looking him up and down.

I was having a shitty day because I had to go to the hospital...so I found buns.
