**ANNOUNCEMENT TIME: PRESENTING MY UPCOMING COMIC**

Meet Aurora (left, brownish). Her whole life, she’s tried to live up to her name and be a ray of sunshine to everyone in her life. Thinking she had everything figured out in the very moment where her life was supposed to fall into place, she realized she wasn’t there at all. Not even a little bit close. Can moving across the country with her boyfriend and possibly insane college roommate be the change they all need to finally feel ‘grown up’, or is it just another form of escape?

Oh, Fudge is about learning that growing up is not linear. It is not homogeneous  There is no age when it should happen. It might be the exact opposite of what it implies. It is not even remotely the same from one person the next. And that is so, totally okay.

This comic is my homage and dedication to the shoulders that are cried on, the unwilling advice giver, the idealist, the child-at-heart, the secret (and not so-secret) otaku, the only minority in the room, the conflicted, and anyone who has ever tried to fool themselves into being something that they truly were not.

Hey im not just lazy

Hello everyone! I had really wanted to launch my new comic Oh, Fudge at the end of August, but with my boyfriend’s family here for 2 weeks as well as our roommate moving in and all my moving in getting pushed back in general, I had to push that back another month. Bummer.

But not bummer- I’ve been traveling all over WA- Forks, Rialto and Ruby Beach, climbin Mount Rainier, Hoh Rainforest- all with my bf and his family. It’s been a blast. I’ll be home tomorrow night but will be busy until the very end of August. September is going to be when I get back into gear and all this travel is so inspiring I can’t wait!

I feel like other artists suffer the same issue of feeling guilty doing anything that’s not working. I’m coming to terms with saying f- that. I make art because I love it- but it’s not the only thing I love. I’m gonna let my awesome life experiences influence my art instead of feeling bad about experiencing the world.

Official announcement time!

Over the last 8 months or so, Nathan and I entertained the idea of moving Washington. I’m here to finally announce that it’s actually happening! For the month of June I will be living in my childhood home in Connecticut and then at the end of June we will be relocating to Bainbridge Island, WA.

This is huge change in our lives and you may be asking, why such a far relocation? Don’t get me wrong, I love New England! I have no intention of leaving and never coming back. The fact of the matter is, an opportunity has been presented to us and we’re going to take a shot and see where it takes us.

Honey Toad Studio [ http://www.honeytoad.com/ ] is located in Winslow on Bainbridge Island, which is a 20 min ferry ride off downtown Seattle. It’s a beautiful area with a lovely downtown and an easy commute into the city. Owned by our friend Elizabeth Ellis, Honey Toad is currently airing the second season of its web series Wrecked [http://www.wreckedtheseries.com/], which has been positively received  and had a successful kickstarter to start season 2. While enjoying creating the show, Liz also had dreamed of starting a small studio incubator for digital arts in a great space she had access to. I was thrilled that Nathan and I were some of the first who were considered to be a part of it (Nathan is a game designer and programmer) when it became a real possibility. So with a group of animators, illustrators, cinematographers, and others that work in a digital medium, we will be working on our own projects as well as collectively as a group.

As previously stated, I have no intentions of leaving the East coast and never coming back, but we also are not heading out that way with the idea of going back soon. We’re going to go and experience life and see what it throws at us. I’m excited to work not only with others, but work on my own projects and use the experience of these artists to take my work to a whole new level. I’m excited to live on a different coast and experience the other side of the country and do some traveling too! Overall, I am very bummed out to leave my family and friends on the east coast, but I hope to be successful enough to see them as often as I can, and for them to visit us. Everyone in my life has been so supportive of our decision and I couldn’t ask for better friends and family. So to anyone on the West Coast, hope to see you soon! To all my friends on the eastern side, when are you coming to visit?

(I'm guessing that you'll at least leave this blog up still, right? It'd be a shame if you deleted it, 'cause then people wouldn't be able to go look at past asks and you wouldn't be able to come back in the future if you ever wanted to. XD )

I will leave it up so if I had time I could come back OR reblog my sailor moon fanart there so people could at least get that! :D

EXTREMELY OVERDUE UPDATE

Hi everyone,

I am so grateful to the Sailor Moon community who jumped into this blog when it started- I have been a huge moonie my whole life and it meant the world to me. As you know, this blog has not updated in a long time, and I am deeply sorry for that. 

As can happen, things in my life started moving very quickly not long after this blog's launch. In the last 6 months, I unexpectedly lost my job, was temping all over for a while, stressing very badly about lack of funds, and now I'm very grateful to at least have a part-time job in my town. This is all especially stressful because it looks like I'll be moving in June from here in Massachusetts to Seattle, WA to be part of an artist collective! That's a huge life change for me- but a great one.

I know I've probably upset some people by the lack of updates, and I really hope you all can forgive me and chalk it up to life's unexpectedness. With the move across country in my sight, I am also burdened by trying to launch my website (which will be at tayloracrockett.com soon!) and 2 new comics ( 'Oh, Fudge.' & 'Natural Tan') all while working with a friend illustrating their children's book. Needless to say, I am busy, which brings me to the conclusion:

As much fun as I had on this blog, I can no longer afford the time to update it. I am really sorry. If you thought I was humorous at all, or at least liked my art and would like to see my new comic work soon (or just like my sailor moon fanart- trust me it sneaks out a lot), follow my art blog at:

I was going to update a bunch of questions this week but it turns out I have to take care of my mom and dog...both are having surgery. My dog's is more serious than my mom's haha...but I will be home for a week without my stuff. So updates next week!
