Phil quickly vaults over his podium and dashes over to Zed, his tail wagging like crazy.

This game show stuff is so 6 fun! You really know how to mix it up! How long have you been doing this stuff anyway?

Zeds own was wagging swiftly and his hair seemed to move, curling over itself in tendrils as the large zourark practically vibrated in place.

“I’m so happy to hear that you’re enjoying our little show! I must say I’m quite impressed with your own showmanship! You make quite the perfect contestant! Smart, charismatic, it’s all good for the camera! You should join us for more shows after this one!”

Zed pauses to fiddle with his cuffs and clears his throat, “as for how long I’ve been doing this, well I must admit this is my first time being properly on air. However I’ve been preforming since I was a mere pup! Ah back when the humans lived here my handler used to love to watch shows like this with me. I learned to imitate them with the help of my illusions and I was among the most popular pokemon with my tricks! And now I can truly be a star with thousands of eyes on me!”

(Rich in town) Dolly @ Zed.

She approaches him with a sweaty smile.

"Oh, hi! 👋 Zed, right? 😃

Dude, the last question was pretty tough not gonna lie. 😅 I really thought Hoenn has, like, more minerals than Kalos…maybe…wait… 🤔

Okay okay, enough rambling, can ya tell who is this "Taff" fella? Can I meet them, please…? 🥺"

”Well hello to you too Dolly! Zed is indeed what they call me,” zed gave a chuckle as he waved back at her. “And honestly I’d be more surprised if you did know the answer to that last question! I wasn’t expecting anyone to know some random fun fact like that heheh but what’s a fun game without a bit of challenge every so often?”

“I-I do hope you’re having fun right?” Zed speaks in a smaller voice as he glances to the side.

He perks back up hearing her request, “Ah you want to speak with my right hand mon?! Well worry not, Taff come on out and greet the guests!”

As he spoke a nearby screen seemed to flicker before a catlike hybrid of a porygon and rotom emerged.

a string of emojis appeared on the screen it exited as it looks at the two.

Zed rolled his eyes at the hybrid, “This is Taff, it’s asking why you called for it. Though it knows how to write Taff seems to be being lazy about communicating right about now.” Zed shook his head fondly as Taff played an annoyed buzzer sound, “It helps me with everything around here! My best friend and helper!”

As she gets closer to Taff, she starts to speak.

Taff however seemed to perk up at hearing the emojis.

Pink: (she looked over at Zed and ran over to him) "Wawa-wa-wawa-wawa-wa?" ("Can I ask about the thing you said your friend could make?")

She signed with her hands as she spoke, hoping that she could be understood.

Pink: "Wa-wawawa!" ("I wanna know more!")

Taff floated over Zed’s shoulder to glance at Pink, tilting its head. With a small spark of static one of the nearby screens began to display text.

>Im currently working on the programming. It has text to speech prepared but I’m still collecting data on your spoken language for proper translation.

The lucario tail perked up in surprise at the sudden shift in topic, his surprise was soon replaced by excitement.

Ooooo playing hardball now huh? I like it! While the question is a bit random and out there compared to the first three, I actually know the answer! Being a wandering adventurer I travel a lot and try to learn as much as I can to help me in my journeys, Kalos just so happens to be a place I visited and learned quite a bit about.

With that being said I can say with certainty that the answer is D! Water rocks wouldn't you say?

This question is pretty tough... 🤔 I honestly don't know much about Kalos. I'm pretty sure my cousie was here when traveling to other universes...I guess... 😅

Mochi: Er, hardness of water?? Like lime and stuff? I've had plenty of water in Kalos, it was pretty rich in minerals but... calcium? Is that a mineral people taste in water? Ugh! I'm just going to guess D! Super mineraly water!

Zantzu had been to Kalos but this question...what even is it?! Feeling he is basically screwed over by this question, he pressed all four buttons at the same time, two with his paws and the other with his tail ribbons...

Alli just narrowed her eyes at the question, wondering what kind of trivia game tauros crap she got herself into. She could only make a guess, the Region did have a lot of mountainous and rocky areas around water, from the looks of the map. Having looked into Mega Evolution, she knew this region first discovered Mega Stones in their caves too. Prime candidate for higher ppm, right...?

Eyeing both C and D, she taps her tail on the side of her podium in anxious thought. "This is tricky, but after thinking... My answer is D."

Pink looked up at her.

Pink: (she nudged Spot until she was behind the podium) "Wa-wawa..!" ("The last one!")

Spot: "She picks option D..!"

Ogerpon looked between her siblings, still a bit confused about the contents of the question.

“And the answer iiiissss… D! The ppm of kalos water often exceeds 300 ppm due to the water runoff from the more mountainous parts of their region!”

“I’m impressed that a few of you actually knew that off the tops of your heads! But it seems we got a couple lucky guessers as well! How’s about we take a quick break from the lights?”

“Taff! Cut to commercial!” As Zed points dramatically to the camera a loud buzzer sounds. “What do you mean we don’t have any commercials?!”

*Buzz*

“What?! We’re not the Truman show, why didn’t you prep any?!

*Buzz*

“Alright just I don’t know steal another channels commercials or play one of your speed paints while we’re on break!”

*Ding Ding*

With that noise the lights die down to a more reasonable level and Zed turns to face the contestants. “Alright my wonderful guests we’ll be having a short break, feel free to look around or grab any refreshments you may need. We have a nice break room just past the door and I’ll be around if you need anything!”

The Espeon only glaces over the options, she wasn't sure about some of their types, but she did know one. "A. Tentacruel, pretty simple."

Zantzu looked at the answers and knew about...well...being the lightning rod at times and had a blank look on his face before shaking his head and looked between A and B...

Couldn't be C nor D since C is partial ground...and D was....electric on electric was a dumb thing...before pressing A to be safe since it looks pure water so better go with something that looks more consistent...

Spot: "L-let's concentrate on g-getting this one right t-to make up f-for it."

The Malamar listened carefully to the next question. After hearing it, she didn't hesitate to answer, putting up her fin before her siblings could get a word in.

Spot: "It's A..!"

She looked at Ogerpon and Pink, who were both surprised by how fast she had been.

Spot: "It's a W-Water-type that's w-weak to Electric m-moves."

Ogerpon: "Could I try to answer the next one? I'll try to get it right too..!"

Spot nodded, making the smaller Grass-type become unable to keep still for a moment.

Spot: "If you w-want..!"

Ogerpon: "Yeah! Then Pink can have a turn after me!"

Pink was taken by surprise, but nodded in response.

Pink: "Wa-wawa..!" ("That would be nice..!")

Spot: "S-sounds good to me..! Let's g-get this one r-right first, though."

Zed’s ears seemed to droop as he listened to their responses. He wanted to keep things fair and fun but it seems that maybe that questions wasn’t a good one if most of his contestants were that dismissive of it.

Clearing his throat, Zed tries not to let it show as he turned back the screen and speaks with his usual excited voice. “And the answer iiiisssss… A! As our contestants have noted discharge is an electric type move and tentacle is the only option that does not have some sort of resistance to the type!”

“However it sounds like some of our guests are disappointed with the level of challenge in our questions,” Zed’s grin seems to sharpen a bit as he points towards the camera, “alright then! Taff! We’ll have to pull out the tough ones!”

This one, she wasn't as sure about. She has seldom run into many shinies in her life, let alone even a Chinchou. Shinies did tend to have brighter colors, so maybe... "Hmm. D? Light blue and yellow? I must confess I'm not well acquainted with shiny pokemon..."

Spot raised an eyebrow as she thought about how to answer the question.

Ogerpon: "Have we seen one of those before?"

Pink: "Wawawa...wa-wawa.." ("You're the one who usually finds shinies...")

Spot: "I know, b-but...I haven't f-found this s-specific one y-yet.."

After a bit of thought, Spot started to recall something that she had heard from academy students.

Spot: "S-some of the students s-sometimes c-complain about how 'shiny' Pokemon l-look similar t-to their original c-colors... ..w-what if it's th-the same thing here..?"

Pink: "Wawa-wawa?" ("Shall we choose that one?")

Spot: "I-it's worth a shot."

The Malamar put her fin up again and raised her voice to answer.

Spot: "I-is it C..?"

Mochi: Um, wow i don’t know! I’ve never seen a shiny Chinchou. I don’t think it’s C, that looks normal. D looks… weird. Maybe it’s B?

Finally, something that Zantzu sees on his travels, he perked up with a proud look and pressed on the B button again...maybe a bit to hard with his front paws.

"Ah-ha! I know this one! And others say me ditching my responsibilities to see the world is useless!"

“And the answer iiiissss… B! A shiny chinchou is blue with green eyes and lights! Looks like this one managed to trip a few of you up huh? Guess it’s not everyday you see one of these guys when you don’t live next to the ocean!” Zed grinned as the points on the players podiums changed.

Zantzu glanced up for a moment before looking at the screen with the sneasler...he wouldn't know how the hisuian types since....that was a long time ago but...

He squinted at the looks before pressing the [B] button...

Ogerpon's eyes went wide and she gasped. She jumped a little in place as she spoke to her siblings.

Ogerpon: "We have a friend like that, don't we?"

Pink and Spot looked at her. They were a little confused, but soon managed to remember alongside her.

Ogerpon: "He's really tall, and his name's Sidney, and I think he said he used to be one of those, and live in that place too!"

Spot: "Y-yes, but..w-what are his t-types, Ogerpon?"

Ogerpon: "I think they match Papa Oki's! His ones are the ones that make him scared of you, Spot..!"

Spot raised her fin after the siblings agreed on the same answer. She raised her voice a bit as she said it.

Spot: "It's P-Poison and F-Fighting..!"

The Espeon put a paw up to her chin, closing her eyes for a few moments. She had studied types and the Hisuian region for a brief period, due to her fascination with the Alpha Pokemon phenomenon in the past. "Poison... Fighting!"

Phil: Whoaaaa...a game show!? Sounds like those things Brainiac always watches between experiments! Can I play!? What's the objective!? I'll do whatever it takes!

Zed could barely hold back his excitement, practically vibrating on the spot. “Taff set the stage! WERE HAVING A POP QUIZ!”

The zoroark grabbed the camera, the background seemed to meld together as he spun with the device. Snapping to a stop Zed pointed towards the stage. several empty podiums now stood there. With a clap and a flash of light the contestants were teleported to their respective spots.

Quiz Show Rules!

•A trivia question will be posted with multiple choice answers typically regarding the Pokemon world. •Respond to the question by answering in the way your character would answer! This is about your oc’s knowledge not your own. •Respond by either replying to the questions post or reblogging it. I will compile them after everyone has answered. •Responses can be as long or short as you want. Ex: simply reply chooses A or give me a paragraph of your character thinking. •Lucky guesses are allowed (your oc doesn’t know but you do) but don’t abuse them. •You have 24 hours to respond before I count it as a timed out question.

(@askpokevision ) “Say you’ve been a quiet one I’ve noticed, glameow got your tongue?” Zed came up to Pink with grin, speaking in a loud energetic voice. “What’s got a gal like you so tongue tied that you’re letting others pick your answers for ya. You shouldn’t be afraid to say what you want! Let the crowd hear your voice!”

Pink tilted her head a little as she listened to Zed. After some thought, she ran off to find one of her siblings.

Once she brought over Ogerpon, she responded.

Pink: "Wawa! Wa-wawa-wawa-wa-wawa!"

Ogerpon: "She says hiya, and it's nice to meet you!"

Pink: "Wawa....wawawa...wa-wawawa..."

Ogerpon: "She doesn't talk until me or Spot is here with her."

Pink: (she looked up at Zed and shrugged) "Wawawa-wa-wawa-wawawa.."

Ogerpon: "...because she doesn't talk like everyone else and she needs us to tell you what she says.."

Pink looked over Zed again, mostly going over the taller mon's attire.

Pink: "Wawawa? Wa-wawa-wa-wawawa.."

Ogerpon: "She wants to know if you're someone from a TV show."

Ogerpon looked at Pink, then up at Zed, her eyes going starry.

Ogerpon: "It'd be really cool if you are from a TV show!"

”I see,” Zed puts a hand to his chin and nods, “believe it or not, your situation is very similar to a pal of mine! My partner can’t speak in the traditional sense either so it typically uses the teleprompter or other screens to communicate. Of course we’ve known each other for long enough that we don’t need words!”

“Perhaps you could look into getting some sort of speaking device? There is nothing wrong with your way of communicating but I understand it may be inconvenient should you find yourself separated from your translators. In fact,” Zed brightens, literally as sparkles seem to come from his hands as he claps them together, “if you are interested I might be able to get Taff to put one together for you! It’s quite technologically skilled!”

When Zed hears the question about his show his smile grows. “I am indeed from a tv show!” The zoroark does a spin, striking a pose at the end with more sparkles seeming to come from nowhere. “Im Zed! The host of PokéVision! A brand new show dedicated to entertaining the masses and inviting them to come on and play our many games and win our fabulous prizes! Perhaps I’ll even see one of you young kings on there someday!”

Pink listened closely to what was said, eyes wide.

Pink: "Wawawa! Wa-wawawa?"

Ogerpon: "She says how cool that would be, and when she can get one!"

Pink nodded, showing a cheery look.

What was said next ended up making them both become quite excited.

Ogerpon: "It'll be really cool to be on TV! And when we get to play all the cool games you have on your show, we'll try to win them all too!"

Pink: "Wawa-wawa..!"

Ogerpon: (she looked at Pink, then at Zed) "While we have fun with everyone else..!"

The discussion eventually managed to bring Spot over to see them.

Spot: "Who are y-you talking to?"

Ogerpon held Spot's arm and jumped in place as she answered.

Ogerpon: "His name's Zed, and he has a TV show, and he said we could all be on TV one day, where we can all play games and win cool stuff!"

Spot: (she looked from Ogerpon to Zed) "I-if my sisters c-can be on y-your show, w-would there be room f-for me t-to join them? It d-does sound like f-fun..!"

”Don’t you worry I’ll have my pal work on that translator asap! I’m sure Taff will appreciate having something new to make. Give it a few days and I’ll be sending it right to you!” Zed gave a bright smile, happy to help out Pink.

As Spot came over Zed turned to face her. “You’d like to be on my show too?! Marvelous!!!” Zed bounced in place, his smile practically splitting his face as his tail wagged a mile a minute. “Of course you may join them!!! All are welcome to join my show!!! There will always be room for more.”

“IN FACT-“ Zed does a twirl in place before snapping to a stop, pointing at the trio, “I’m currently gathering contestants for a quick quiz show to get things started! Would you three like to be among the first to step on the stage?! Don’t worry about travel! I can have us there and back in a flash!”

Angela@Zed: "Wow! You got some proper stuff here, lad. I was wonderin', do you ever use your Zoroark illusions to help with the show? Hopin' you are good at 'em!"

“My illusions make set and costume changes a breeze! No need to waste money on a full closet when I can dress anyone up with just a thought! And the effects! Why it’s perfect for spicing up a live show! And with Taffs help they show even across camera and television so everyone can enjoy the spectacle!”

(@askpokevision ) The tall zoroark leans on the desk with one hand as the flash a grin at the meowth, “Nice office you got here pal! Not as glamorous as my own but to each their own as they say. In fact care to share your name with the audience?” Zed gives a sweeping gesture to the empty room with his arm before realizing the lack of a crowd. “Ahem I mean share it with me? Seems a bit dead in here besides us buddy.”

Ha ha, I know I know, there's no cameras here so I'm not actually being filmed, right?

Anyways, I'm gladly going to introduce myself. My name is...

They inhale and wave their paw.

How did you like my yell? And I-I hope no one would be terrified at this, because w-we have a bit of an anxious coworker. It's easy to scare her...

”That was perfect!” Zed enthusiastically claps his hands, the faint sound of an illusionary audience cheers on as well. “And don’t worry I may like to have my filming done live but I don’t take my show on the road! There’s no cameras here folks!”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Lauren! I’m Zed!” The zoroark others a handshake to the meowth with a grin.

“Who’s this coworker of yours? I wouldn’t want to frighten her off on accident if we ran into each other!”
