Q: What can change the nature of a man? -Anonymous
A: Oh goodness, this one may take a while.
What can change the nature of a man? Others. If a man walks into a shop, and in pulling out his wallet, he drops a $50 bill, what can happen? Nobody could let him know, and he will go without that money, which can lead to so much. He could be suspicious of thieves, he could suspect someone in his family of taking it, it could lead to so much negativity. But, if someone decides to go another step, and let him know that he dropped it, all that could be avoided. But let's go to a larger scale.
Let's say a man is in school, and he is being tormented by other classmates, for whatever reason. This man can now go from someone who was confident, and could have been successful, to someone who could bring their life down into a rut. He could start damaging himself. He could start making those notes one never wishes to see written from a family member. He could go pay a visit to the local bridge.
Thinking of taking a swim.
But it must also be remembered, that there is no time too late to change someone. Someone could pull over on said bridge, and run to this man to stop him. They could keep this man going in his world. They could bring him higher than he ever was. They might just even get to know him more, and buy him that certain special ring.
Due to my omniscience, I can see what people do over on your planet, and while I may not care as much for you as you all do, you certainly aren't doing yourselves any good. You torment, fight, torture people. For what reason?
For believing in what you don't believe. For not agreeing with your values. For having skin of a different hue. For having an attraction to the same gender. For not believing that their gender is what they physically are.
You fight people, abuse people, even kill people.
That can change the nature of a man. It can bring someone standing on the highest point on the world, and bring him down to the depths of the sea.
But the worst thing you can do to change someone is absolutely nothing.
The worst thing you can do is see someone being targeted, and not bother to stand up for that person. To not take hold of the abuser's clenched fist, and look him in the eye and say "That's enough."
But luckily, there are those who stand by those people, who support them, defend them, and care for them. That can also change the nature of a man, for the better.
So in short, what changes the nature of a man is other people.
But if you want to change something, you have nobody but yourself to rely on.
