Yamato makes Lopmon and terriermon some tasty pizza.
"PIZZA!"
The twins jump Yamato before he can set it down and completely devour it.
"Lopmon... Terriermon...."
"Yama-tan, I'm hungry!"
"I'm soaked! Thanks a lot for the shower, Lopmon."
"Willis is gonna cook..."
"Someone save us."
"Willis is sick. He doesn't hear me. He just sits on the window seat..."
"My tummy hurts..."

*POOF*
"Rings...?" Lopmon blinked, unsure why five black rings were hovering in the air. How odd...she yelped then, as two of the rings attached to her at the base of her ears.
"Lopmon!" Terriermon cried, running towards her, but another pair of rings attached to his own ears.
The last ring flew off...
“Yeah. Yeah, Lopmon, I came alone.” He sighed and started to walk. They were in a forest-like area, as expected from where Lopmon would be. She was just the kind of Digimon to pick a very natural, soothing place (with a lot of hiding places, of course!). “The others aren’t here to help me this time. We’re on our own.”
Again. He stepped over some lifted roots and looked around. His digivice wasn’t reacting at all. He was sure it would work in the Digital World, so he suspected the reason was because neither Terriermon nor Keramon were nearby. Still, he stopped walking, eyebrows furrowed. Holding Lopmon so she was balanced on his hip like a baby, he took his digivice from his pocket. It was dead, like a toy without batteries. His eyes widened and he looked at Lopmon with complete fear in his eyes. His digivice was useless.
They were defenseless and without a way to find his partners.
Lopmon took one look at the digivice and rubbed Willis’ arm with her paw. It terrified her that his digivice wouldn’t work, but it was beyond her control. She couldn’t make it work, after all. She looked down and then snuggled into her partner. Terriermon and Keramon would take a long time to find now.
“Willis,” she piped up. “Let’s go find some shelter. The sun’s going down and bad things come out at night. Very bad things.”
Home. Yeah, he’d like to take her home, but he couldn’t. Not yet. He needed to find his other partners, needed to make sure they were okay. He smiled down at Lopmon and nuzzled her forehead. She was crying and he wished he could make it stop.
“We’ll be home soon, Lop,” he murmured, trying to soothe her. “We’ve got to find your brother and Keramon, alright? We can’t leave them here. You’d rather be with them here, together, than alone at home, wouldn’t you?” He knew the answer was yes. Lopmon hated to be alone and he knew that. He held her firmly and looked around. If Terriermon and Keramon weren’t with her, then they had to be far away. It was going to be a long journey.
Lopmon’s tears slowed and she hiccupped before nodding her head in accordance to Willis’ question. She wanted to find her brother—brothers. She considered Keramon her brother just as much as Terriermon. She couldn’t leave either behind.
“There’s something dangerous here, Willis,” she replied. “It’s scary and I don’t like it. Are the others going to make it go away?” She paused and looked around. Where were the other Chosen Children? Surely he hadn’t—? “Willis…did you come alone?”
It felt real. He’d barely had any time to think about it, though, because as soon as he was there, he was spotted. It was a little brown blur to him, but once the blur shouted his name and latched onto him, he figured out that it was Lopmon. He peeled her off his arm and hugged her tight. Tears threatened to spill over, but he held them in. He’d missed her so much, but how much had been underestimated until now.
“Lopmon,” he murmured. He couldn’t help but feel ecstatic to have her back, even if the other two weren’t with her. He’d find them soon. For now, he reveled in the feeling of having Lopmon back with him. Still, he eventually calmed and asked, “Are you alright? Where are Terriermon and Keramon?”
Lopmon’s face fell at the mention of her twin and friend. She hadn’t seen them at all. She didn’t know what was happening or if they were alright, and she felt guilty. She hadn’t tried her hardest to look for them. She’d just tried to stay alive, so she could return to her partner.
“I don’t know,” she stammered, before bursting into tears. “I—I’m sorry! I don’t kn—know! They’re gone!” She let out choked sobs, overcome with emotion. She’d always been the emotional one, always so in touch with the feelings inside of not only her, but of everyone else, too. “I—I want to go ho—home!”
It was an echo, a barely audible call that Willis almost missed, but it was so familiar that his brain forced him to hear it. Whispered words floated across the air of the room, taunting him. Terriermon. Lopmon. They were calling out to him, but for help. They were in trouble. He had to help them. They needed him. It was his turn to protect them.
The digivice felt cold in his hands, but he didn’t care. He needed to open the Digital Gate one way or another. He needed to get to them. He needed to protect them. Sitting down in front of his laptop, he sighed. How could he get to the Digital World? He had never before set foot there and had no idea how to get there in the first place! Angered, he brought his fist down on his desk. How could he help them when he didn’t know what to do?
“Useless…” He sighed and looked up at the computer. Tears of frustration were forming in his eyes. “Open! Please…Digital Gate, open…”
There was a faint beep, a flash of light that could burn one’s eyes and then nothing. The room lay silent, still and peaceful, as if nothing had happened—but something had. Nothing was off about the room, except for the desk. Papers were silently scattered and the fan of the laptop hummed, but no user sat in front of it. The Digital World had heard his plea.
Now, it was time for a whole new adventure to begin.
Twins should never be separated. They weren’t as strong apart as they were together. Throw in that they had no memories regarding the Digital World and they were basically just lost lambs. Neither had any idea how to survive in the Digital World, and though they might have figured it out together, they had been thrown into the world separately.
Lopmon was scared. She was tired, hungry and scared. She’d been separated from her twin, from Willis, from Keramon for a very long time. Weeks, she suspected. She was starting to lose hope when she caught that glimpse of yellow. No, not yellow. Blond.
She scurried forward, leaving her hiding place, determined to see if her eyes were deceiving her. Could it be? Could Willis be here? Her heart surged with hope and she streaked through the bushes until she had a better view of the figure.
“Willis!” She flew towards him at top speed, latching onto his left arm. He was here! He was here and he was real. She wasn’t alone anymore.
Help...us...
You won’t lose me, Willis. I told you, I’m your friend. Friends are always there for each other.
Terriermon trudged along the wooded path of the Digital World. Just like his sister, he had no memories of this world. His memories began when the shell broke away and he blinked, seeing Willis for the first time. There were no memories of these other Digimon, the way the land changed so quickly or even the feel of data across his fur. There was nothing, nothing of the world that he was trapped within, separated from his partner and sister.
Terriermon had never been away from Willis this long. Sure, he’d stayed home while Willis went to school or went out to hang with friends, but it had been a very long time. He was starting to get scared. Was he trapped here? Was Willis looking for him? Was his sister alright? So many questions, yet nowhere to find the answers…
Terriermon sighed and shook his head rapidly. No, he didn’t need to think about that. There was no point. He’d find out eventually and worrying about it would only waste precious time.
As he turned around, he saw something glint in the sunlight…
You didn’t give up on me—so I won’t give up on you.
Lopmon remembered the words so clearly. How many times had those words fallen from her lips? Dozens, maybe hundreds of times. She was remembering them now because she finally understood how Willis had been feeling anytime she’d had to say those words. Helpless, lost, confused. That’s how he must’ve felt…and she hated it.
Terriermon…where could her brother be? She missed him. She needed him; he was still missing.
The Digital World…she had no memories of this place. Why was she here? She wanted to go home…
She sighed and curled up in her makeshift bed, stuck inside a log. At least, for tonight, she’d be safe.
