ASK BOX IS CLOSED + LIFE

well i had a hard time putting this into words because to be honest with everyone 2018 is a horrible, rough year, at first when we made this blog it was because its 2018 and you know everyone is spamming positive memes and were just really happy and excited, but dang its not a great year, first its been like more than 2 months ? mochi is still sick, and like me?

 gosh at the end of 2017 my depression and cfs (chronic fatigue syndrome) was like so much better just to laugh at me again in 2018, even my brain is fucked up i cant even remember anything for like an hour or at least 15 mins and im not fucking joking, 

so we’re closing the ask box for awhile were sorry for those asks that would take awhile to answer, we’ll probably be ok, sorry if theres any typo im typing this really quick cause stuffs, and thank for 91 followers! we actually didnt expect to get this much because you know, SDV ask blogs arent really a famous or big thing yet! so thank you everyone!

Do you have any tips for someone who has never modded before? I have downloaded so many mods for my game, but would like to create my own. I've just never drawn pixel art, and I'm not sure how to or where to begin. Do you guys draw everything by hand? Or do you use templates? Thank you in advance! You guys inspire me so much, and I hope to be able to create amazing mods like you guys someday! :')

firstly of all, thank you! but not trying to be rude but, next time if anyone wants to ask modding tips, please check @boletusvallis (https://boletusvallis.tumblr.com/) because its mod Eiri’s mod blog :D

second im not sure about mod Mochi myself, from ive seen ive never saw mod Mochi do any modding work, she seems to only do spriting work and drawing but then again i never talk about it to mod Mochi myself so i dont know much, 

third of all i do use template for hat modding but other than that i dont use it, and also its depends on what you mean by “never modded before”, if you know how to mod at least for the re-texpure part already then all tips ill give you are tips youve heard before from other artists when it comes to mimicking artstyles, if you dont know how to even mod yet then here 

and for pixel art programs i heard GIMP is pretty bad but hey at least its just words im not sure if thats true, if you can code (?) or have money, i think aseprite is the best imo 

lastly, for when asking for tips you might wanna give us more details, like theres smapi modding, re-texure modding and mapping modding, you have to tell us what are you modding so we can help, and add your problems too, like “im having a problem with mimicking sdv artstyle” or something like that

also im keeping my other tips for now so i can talk about it in the near future so i dont have to write something really long just to end out everyone ignores it

Mod eiri: aww for Poppy since Mochi isnt here ill wtite her part instead, i guess Pops is kinda like a strong girl so if youre just bassically a kind person and have a cute smile of hope she’ll probably trust the heck out of youAlso im not sure do you exactly mean farmers or Poppy because Poppy isnt a farmer, Liliths too because last time during askes when i post the ask game most people would replace farmers with just ocs for the asks, but if you mean like ALL of them like all ocs and all farmers then thanks, some of our characters will probably like your farmer too if they start talking to eachother 😊💞

How do you have two people in the same game

Theyre not people, theyre npcs, they’re modded like I said before, before sending ask I recommend everyone to scroll down and read all the post first, or at least some of our first posts, you end out asking something thats already have an aswer, 

And if youre lazy and dont want to read, then thats all ok, some people arent just interested in the characters but more for the mod, but if youre actually just here for the mod then youre welcome to stay, and im not pointing this to you, im pointing this to everyone in fact, its common sense, a very nice thing to have of course :D 

Dont take this personal, laughing at yourself for doing silly things are nicer than putting things that arent worth it into your heart just to break it with negative humans mind :)
