[BRUH I REMEMBERED MY PASSWORD]
[Haunted]
The mage narrowed his eyes upon seeing the hero; a stupid grin was plastered on the boy’s face as he noticed Vaati.
When the other apologized for wrecking his garden, Vaati rolled his eyes, as arms crossed across his chest. “I highly doubt that you are truly sorry.” The tone of his voice held annoyance, but also seemed to be tired.
In truth he was sick of having this conversation every time the hero destroyed the statues in his garden.
He waved a hand, as if dismissing the apology while shaking his head. “Hmph. I suppose it doesn’t matter, I’ll simply fix them later.”
Mini wasn’t sure why he did the same sort of semi-senseless destruction anymore. It didn’t give him joy, and it didn’t mend the ache in his chest. It was hardly even an ache anymore but... The gap is there, a hole gaping in his ribs where vines and plants crawl forth to breathe in the lost air from its lungs. Somewhere, creeping into his aching bones he is lonely, and somewhere, he thinks that Vaati will.... won’t... He takes a deep breath, and it comes out cold, an exhalation in pale comparison to his once full warmth. The sun is not in his blood or his skin, his eyes are not the field on a summer day. His hair is not sunlight.
He wonders if he knows why he does these things.
Why does he do these things?
The other probably doesn’t care to know. Finally speaks up, his voice shaking with subtle quiver, “How long has it been?”
Last night I made a Majora’s Mask based on the Loftwings of Skyward Sword (inspired by the #MyMajorasMask event) Today I wanted to do another, this time based on the Minish/Picori of Minish Cap.
Update: I finished the set! Loftwing | Minish | Stalfos | Twili
I would love this mask if it would appear in Majora’s mask

The crash of a heavy object breaking could be heard from a distance, making Vaati quicken his pace towards his current destination.
It wasn’t long till he reached the devastated garden behide the Palace of Winds, and upon seeing the damage the sorcerer now had to fix, he let out a groan as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
Going down the steps, Vaati walked around the garden making sure to avoid the chunks of broken stone scattering the place, as he looked for ghost of the hero.
This is boring now too. The spirit stands and straightens out his tunic and then smooths down his hair-- though it never stays quiet smooth or neat for long. Shakes his head soon after, no, keeping it neat won’t matter much. He’s dead.
Something about this makes him sad, deep in his soul. It’s a hard feeling to hurdle over, and he’s not doing so with any success.
The hero plasters a smile on his face. “Vaati!”
I made a mess. Do you hate me for it?
That isn’t even a question he needs answered, because he already knows the answer. “Sorry about your garden.” He isn’t really that sorry.

In the meantime the purple clad villain was still trying his best to keep his temper in control. Frigid winds raged inside the room he had locked himself inside of, as he took deep breaths to calm himself.
That ghost aggravated him. For all that he did the hero’s ghost refused to leave him, although he had no idea why it was here in the first place or why it so stubbornly wanted to stay. Sure he was alone right now, but he knew that once he calmed down the former hero would surely stick to his side once more.
Minutes passed before the wind, as well as the mage, had calmed down. Now that Vaati was able to think more clearly he decided to check up on ghost that haunted him. Casting a spell he summoned a one-eyed bat and told it find to fly around till it found the hero.
It didn’t take long till the bat had found where the ghost was. Looking through the sentry bat’s eye Vaati could see statues that had been turned upside down and smashed. With a sigh and a shake of his head, he snapped his fingers making the bat vanish with a small puff of purple smoke. Leaving the room he was in he made his way to the garden.
There is another crash, more firm this time, and this one actually pulls a little laugh from Mini’s mouth. Yeah. This isn’t so bad. Offers a warmer smile. Vaati never liked it when he played with the statues. Of course, it isn’t like breaking them is a problem. They’re statues...They’re dead. The mage can fix them.
But soon...this becomes boring. Mini looks to his feet and taps his heels against the stone path, materialising the pegasus boots-- or rather faux pegasus boots. He pulls the gust jar, setting himself up carefully with the clearest line in the path, takes a deep breath, and pulls on the handles of the jar. It takes in a great gust of air before pushing it out, sending the blond flying backwards at high speeds. “YEAH!”
If Mini had not died of pneumonia, he would have died of carelessness.
The spirit crashes through several statues and lands eventually on the other side of a swaying, tall tree. Looks up at it for a moment, and laughs. That’s better.
For a moment he wonders why he finds these different Vaatis. He wonders why he keeps trying to help them. But....Then he wonders why he wouldn’t. Because they’re all lonely. He can’t save them all, but he can try. He can do better than he did before.
A doodle before bed. I’ve been meaning to put this old fart on my blog. :’D Plus a bonus, a really smoll Vaati. :v (He ‘bout 5-6 years~ o ω o ♥ ) In this, my thought is that Ezlo took Vaati in, more than just a child Vaati walking up to Ezlo asking to be his apprentice.
Some sketches of Vaati with various expressions. Doing work on the cosplay so was in the mood to doodle this little purple trash lord.
tbh this is one of my fave games tbh…
lots of Vaati faces (please do not use without permission ty)

[Haunted]
The sky is clear for once, mostly. There are clouds that drape lazily across the vault of the sky, pulled into strings and feathers. They obscure a floating tower, with shattered crags and hard stone foundations. The sloping palace exists in the sky, lingering high above the heads of Hylians and monsters alike. Very few notice it, as the area it lingers over is often unpopulated.
Within its halls there wanders a spirit, restless. It is not sure how it came to be inside this particular palace. Faded blond hair and even more faded skin stands out only as different shades against the alabaster of the palace. Ghostly fingers run along the walls, and sometimes on the ends and edges of furniture.
There is no evidence of his presence, very little is disturbed. Why is he here, he wonders.
He searches his memory to before he had arrived, and nods. Yes. That was why. He had been thrown out of a different Wind Palace, another Wind Palace, somewhere else. Somewhere far off. And he had wandered to give his friend space. Friend? No. That wasn’t really the right word. They weren’t really friends.
It hurt to admit that. That they weren’t friends. But there was no other truth to it. Mini had stuck around to try to talk sense into him, and he would return to the same palace later... But his friend needed to... to cool off. He didn’t usually LIKE Mini’s visits, as they often ended in windstorms. But for some reason, come hell or high waters, the spirit returned.
Even if he went far away, like he is now, he returned.
His hands lift from the wall as he comes to a sunlit garden. Statues. It’s always statues.
Stone makes him uncomfortable, for many reasons, though the one is burned into his memory so deep that he will never forget. The spirit takes an unnecessary breath, and a crooked cane appears in hand. He doesn’t have the sword, so he has the cane, and he lifts it, swings, and watches the first statue slide like the rug were pulled from under it. Its base rotates and the stone creature smashes onto its head, cracking.
The sound is somewhat satisfying, but it does not ease the boy the way he thought. It only makes him sick and sad. But he will not be going anywhere. Not until his friend has cooled down.
Headcanon: Green and Red would stand no chance against these two if they were sparring 2on2.
