I still RP the occasional Hwangcest on Discord, but even then, I've been highly critical of my IC writing this year, so I've been doing my best to figure out what I need to do to claw my way out of that slump.
Worse yet, my most convincing portrayals are intelligent misanthropic control freak doms with trust issues (think Gell//ert Grin//delwald, Sephiroth ), so best timing ever to try my hand at writing Jun-ho, right? akjhfksfa lmao
So, with that lengthy caveat attached to it, have a copy-pasted IC post from the POV of this unhinged man with the biggest hyung complex in existence:
“Okay,” Jun-ho flatly acknowledges the death sentence pronounced upon the Front Man’s oblivious hunting dogs.
He has yet to fully process the gravitas of it all—of their needless culling when they have yet to defy the man holding their leashes in a vice-like grip.
But Jun-ho will not allow for his emotions nor for his conscience to thwart him now. He instead tells himself that in a way, their demise will be a rare instance of karmic justice. One of them might have participated in his brother’s abduction years before, another might have gouged out the eyes—and the kidneys—of a person still breathing.
Suddenly, In-ho is steeping into his space again, yet though he is exactly where Jun-ho wanted him, wants him, will always want him, the cold indifference in his words and voice is pure agony.
Jun-ho doesn’t move away from him, doesn’t even avert his face as he flinches as if struck.
“Positive reinforcement works best on me. You used to know that,” Jun-ho attempts in vain to mask or a least downplay the anguish in his eyes by feigning exasperation.
Still, his words themselves are nothing if not truthful, especially where In-ho is concerned.
“"Your Jun-ho is always so well-behaved for his hyung, isn’t he?” he’d often overhear neighbors or family friends fawn to their mother when he was already too old for them tactfully voice such observations in his presence.
And then, the verdict he was waiting for: “What a remarkable man he is, Hwang In-ho. No wonder Jun-ho adores him so.”
'Yes, you should praise my hyung more,' Jun-ho would rejoice in such instances. 'The whole world needs to know. The whole world needs to worship my hyung.'
He never cared about surpassing In-ho, didn’t care about being praised by neighbors, acquaintances, teachers in his own right.
Being praised by them was like eating candy. It was nice in the moment, but nothing he would dwell on after the sweetness dissolved on his tongue.
In-ho’s gaze, In-ho’s smile, In-ho’s praise, encouragement and guidance, on the other hand, he depends on more than the oxygen in his lungs.
Like those fish corpses he found in In-ho’s abandoned goshiwon, Jun-ho, too, will waste away if he fails to prove himself worthy of In-ho’s attention, In-ho’s recognition, In-ho’s love.
“Name your price, Hyung, and I’ll pay it,” Jun-ho thus declares with a grim finality.

It's not even that she didn't give a fuck; she cared passionately and was famously, publicly hurt by the reception of at least one of her novels, but she never let that distract her from her mission of writing whatever the fuck she wanted. No one could write Anne Rice's books except Anne Rice. They are singularly, entirely hers and while I won't pretend she was a perfect person or it's wrong for readers to be offended or uninterested in spending their one and only life on earth reading something that offends them, I also think her work is valuable and humane and also often hilarious and it's not a crime to have a muse you adore.

Like, I started to understand what would draw others to incest ships and enjoyed the fanworks/roleplays/dynamics they created, but never to the point /I/ would get all unhinged over the ships in question.
Same applies to K-dramas. I couldn't see myself getting into any of them after years of people trying to shove them down my throat back when I was a teen (and the most common arguments people had for me were along the lines 'OMG, you have to watch X because actor X is so haaawwwt and actor Y is so hawwwt' otl).
But then, Hwangcest happened and my resistance crumbled.
