more things to note about: pyro

She has finally managed to survived the machine's control, but has become traumatized from recent events when it came to getting her freedom.

Her uper left arm is totally gone now, thus she had to put the red and brown fabrics, on the stump of her left arm and tightened it, although it did break a couple of her baby teeth, it is preventing the wound from bleeding anymore.

Pyro is now holding onto the machine's left arm in her mouth, in hopes of one day finding someone to fix it in place and regain having her left arm.

And finally, since she still has those two streaks on her chest, she is currently looking for something to cover up the scars, in hopes of them properly healing.

Ruin Protector's character sheet

Last things to note about: ruin protector

The machine's front screen has been completely blown off by a explosive spear exposing circuitry and a curcit port where a camera should be present.

The machine's arms are totally gone now, right one attacked by scavengers, and the left one taken by pyro the very next cycle after it's defeat.

It's right leg is still functional but dented, while the left leg was also blown off due to debris, leaving it effectively stuck in the shelter.

And finally since it can't talk normally anymore, it would now either try to speak morse code, in hopes of being noticed by a overseer, or sound off a eas alarm when the rain is about to come.

Pyro's freedom arc

chapter (2/2): the final confrontation

[TW: moderate blood, more slugpup harm, and amputation]

(when pyro finally made it to farm arrays, she was back at running immediately as she fears of being captured by the cruel machine, she soon founds a squidcada and grabs onto it, in order to jump over large gaps that had tentacles waiting for it's prey, she still hears the metallic clicking noises as she looks back, to see the damaged machine has two of the squidcadas on its remaining claw, she remains terrified of the machine's perseverance of catching up, so she begans to quickly think of a plan)

Pyro: oh no OH NO, I won't be able to keep outrunning protector any longer, I need to think of a path quickly, before it catches up to me, but how do I counter it?!

(Pyro struggles to think hard, as she continues to be chased by the machine, but then she thought of something)

Pyro: AHA!, I got an idea! (Pyro's mind: I know what to do, since the rain is about to come by, I'll get that nearly spear, do a few more movement tricks, and finally head to that shelter at the filtration systems, and close off that machine, leaving it destroyed by the rain!)

(Pyro happily thoughted, when she finally has a plan to destroy the machine, and so she begans to execute her plan, by grabbing that nearby spear, and confused the machine with her random movements, before eventually throwing her last bomb nearby the machine, as it was knocked out again, soon after that pyro finally went to the place, ate a few baby centipedes, and lastly went to the shelter as it begans to close for the cycle)

pyro, yeses, YEEESSSSS, Finally, I am free from the machine, no more hunger, no more pain, no mor-

protector: [u-u-u-unitttt: py-py-pyro!] (Glitches)

Pyro: (gasps) oh no!

(She said in horror, as pyro looks back at the chamber, to see protector was right there, forcing the chamber open to quickly enter the shelter as the chambers close completely)

protector: [u-u-u-unitttt: pyro, you aaa-r-re assigned f-for; ter-termination (glitches) do-do-do not re-resist]

Pyro: AAHHH!

(She screams as she immediately dodges the machine's grabby claw, and ran to the spear to bite into it, making it into a explosive blue spear as she continues to dodge the Protector's attacks, but as she was able to make a strike to the machine's head using the explosive spear on her right paw...)

(Slash)

(The machine has managed to slash pyro's left upper paw off, as she was stunned by the pain for a brief second, but before the machine did it's finished move...)

(Glass shatters and sizzling noises)

(The machine was strucked in the screen by pyro, as she manages to do that before she realizes what has happened to her arm, the machine tries to pull out the spear as the sizzling noises intensify but...)

(Explodes)

(The machine was too late as parts of it's head was blown up by the blue explosive spear, that also knocked pyro away, and when they dust blows, it shows the machine was at a ruined state with it's other arm, and legs to be torn off by debris, left leg nearby the broken machine)

Pyro: ow (whimpers), what happened?

(She said as she was getting up from the aftermath of her final encounter)

Pyro: whu-whu-whu, MY ARM!!

(She screams in horror, as she immediately realizes that her left arm was not only sliced off, but also blown to pieces, she begans to panic and cry at the sight for a minute or two, before she calms down a bit to quickly think of a way to stop the bleeding, but then she thought of the brown and red pieces of fabric that was still present in the broken machine, so she grabbed them and started the process as fast as she can)

pyro: ggrrrr, pleack, tigcten up!

(She said with the brown fabric on her mouth as she tightens the wound, but not right before breaking her two baby teeth)

pyro: my teeth!, oh my teeth, why!?

(She said painfully as she begans to cry after finally tightening the wound)

pyro: (gasps) MAMA, MAMA WHERE ARE YOU, I NEED YOOOUUU!! (Sobs)

(She cries as she covers her face with her knees and hugged them with her remaining right arm, as the cycle ends she is finally free at last, she won't be controlled anymore, but with her left arm gone, and her being at a bad condition, what's going to happen to her now?, and will she be able to find any help from anyone? Only time will tell but for know, she has survived and that ends her freedom arc)

More things to note about: the protector

The machine is at a severe state due to an ambush scavengers, that blew up parts of it, and barely escaped still functional after terminating all those scavengers.

The uper right arm was one of the first things that because suddenly broken, when it was strucked off by a random scavenger, the second being the left side of it's face by a stray explosive.

Because it was struck in the left side of the head, circuitry has left exposed as a vulnerable weakness, along with a broken and malfunctioning voice box somewhere inside.

And finally, despite the damage also being present at the left leg, the protector is still determined to catch unit: pyro, and it soon figures out that pyro may have reached a gate, that took her from industrial complex to farm arrays, what the machine will do to her when it finds her is currently unknown, but things for sure, the machine won't stop until it completes it's current objective...

More things to note about: pyro

Her left wrist has been able to heal well enough to have the cast off, thus, making it useful again.

She now has two slash streaks on her front that goes from stomach to chest, from the machine attempting to grab her, leaving two bloody scars.

Pyro has yet to figure out that, seeker has suddenly gone missing, due to her fears of being captured by the machine.

And finally, she's currently at farm arrays in hopes that, the machine won't be able to catch up to her, due to their severe damage to it's body, but little does she know, that it still will find a way to get to her...

Chapter (1/2): the escape from the cold metallic claws

[Tw: mild blood and slugpup harm]

(The trio, protector, seeker, and pyro, are outside exploring the industrial complex, looking for a shortcut to an iterator, all the while seeker was sleeping, but as they went to find a shortcut to them, there was tension with, the protector, and pyro)

pyro: why are you doing this to us, what motivates you into controlling me, lying to me so much lately, and forcing me to starve, why are we going to an iterator!?

(She shouts angrily, as she is starting to get fed up with the machine's nonsense)

protector: [ because we are required to go there for maintenance, and analyzing the two of you, and because you often refused to cooperate for unknown reasons, I was never lying to you, I wasn't designed to lie-]

pyro: SHUT UP!

(She shouted, intruding the machine's cold conversation)

Pyro: you don't get to say that to our faces anymore without us noticing, I don't care about following you anymore, you hurt and starved me for so long, you took me away from the others when I needed them the most, I HATE you protector!

(She says angrily as the machine stops on their tracks, to look at pyro and starts to act a bit more aggravated)

protector: [ unit: pyro, you must follow these orders to reach our destination, you are prohibited from going off bounds, it is required for this mission]

(The machine said, starting to raise its voice, as it tries to reason with pyro, but to no avail, as she begans to back away)

pyro: no no NO, I will not be doing that with you anymore, I don't care about you dumb mission anymore, I will not follow you anymore, I will not-

protector: [SILENCE]

(The machine suddenly shouts, as they tried to grab pyro, but she manages to see that coming and backs away, however she didn't move fast enough and got sliced)

(She now has two streaks on her chest, as it starts to bleed, pyro was in horror for what the machine has done now, but still determined to get out of the machine's grasp, and not wounded too badly, she begans to run away, the machine follows soon after her as they began the chase, pyro soon realizes that some of the structures are weak and she uses her bombs to blow them up, that would block off the machine if it weren't for it's incredible strength, pulling off the debris everytime she tries to slow the machine down, eventually she founds a scavenger post as she stops for a moment, she has bad memories of the place and thought about the spears and explosions, explosions, she's got an idea to stop the machine, so she sneaked by the post and took one of the pearls, and as The machine was getting to the post, she threw the stray pearl at the machine and it made a thunk noise, alerting the scavengers into attacking the machine, as they were tricked into thinking that the machine has stolen it's pearl, then there are explosions hear from a distance where pyro is by)

pyro: (sigh) finally, it's over, (gasping) I'm feeling tired...

Pyro: OOW

(She whimpers a bit as she soon realizes, that she's badly cut and may need to find something to cover her wound)

Protector: [u-u-u-unitttt: pyyro] (glitches)

Pyro: (gasps) how!? Oh no!

(She whispers in horror as she realizes, that the machine has somehow survived that deadly encounter with the scavengers, she then sees the machine was severely damaged but still very dangerous to encounter as it limps towards pyro's general direction)

protector: [co-o-ome ba-ba-back im-im-imediately] (glitches)

(the machine said in a garbled, broken, robotic voice, as it spotted pyro and limp towards her faster, so she immediately starts to throw another explosive near the machine, pushing the machine away, giving her time to head into the gate and move away for industrial complex, to farm arrays)

The Pyro's powers are weaker than her mother's powers (for now), due to the pup's immaturity and lack of experience in combat, but also since her explosion powers are weaker than normal, it makes up for it by leaving a patch of fire on the ground, or on enemies after the explosion went off, the explosion is also a smaller radius due to the pup's size

(The Protector, The Pyro, and The Seeker were all on a journey looking for food, and a shelter to stay at, when they notice a purple slugcat (spearmaster) and a light blue slugcat with gills (rivulet), so The Protector decided to go towards them along with the pyro and the seeker, to ask for guidance and questions)

The Protector: [greetings strange slugcats; I am unit 101, or you can call me The Protector, the small blue slugcat's name is The Pyro, and the smaller pale green slugcat's name is The Seeker, and I believe The Pyro would like to ask you questions for your guidance]

(The robot pushed the pyro towards the two slugcats to see the them eye to eye, to then have her ask the questions to them)

The Pyro: h-hello other slugcats, who are you two?, do you know where we can find food, and somewhere to stay at for a while?, and is there anything you want us to do in return?

(The Pyro said in uncertainty and weary tone)

The Seeker: wa wa?

(The Seeker said as he was looking over The Protector's shoulders in curiosity)

(rivulet jumped up to them with a bunch of unnecessary and necessary words and started talking incessantly without letting them answer)

Wow! You look so much like slugpups Artificer's. Only Sky has no feathers for some reason, and Tide has no fins! It's amazing, you look so much alike, but you're so different heh heh!! Oh, the food, the food, exactly the food. Food, shelter, food shelter. There's plenty of food here! For example, after making a few turns to the right, you can find a field of bats, and if there are two, there will be berries. The Seeker: Wa wa wa wa! (The Seeker said while trying to reach out for the purple slugcat, giggling)

The Protector: [unit: Pyro, come back to unit 101] [we found where a nearby shelter is where you and seeker can find fuel] [Desired timing: immediately]

The Pyro: ok....

The Protector: [we apologize for the inconvenience] [thanks for repairing the pyro's left paw joints: big slugcat] [you have received a gift] (the robot gives the big slugcat, a bomb spear that looks blue instead of red as a "apology" gift)

(The pyro didn't have anything left to say, but she was looking down and trembling in fear for saying anything that the robot would not like, so she shook her head)

(The Pyro soon became alone after convincing the protector to watch over the seeker at the nursery, to then be able to properly meet up with the big slugcat on her own, then as she goes up to meet them, she begins to ask them questions and tells them about herself as well as her)

The Pyro: hi th-there big slugcat, my names pyro what's yours?, actually nevermind about that and your weird eye, I wanna ask you many important things about myself right now,(deep breath) ok here we go,

how do you deal with the guilt of causing your sibling's death?, how can I have fun when the protector refuses to let me have it for "safety" reason?, how can I even have my freedom anymore without the robot stopping me!?, what should I even do anymore!?!

(She shouts as she begans to break down in tears, when she was talking to herself about what she has done, to get herself into this mess)

I d-don't kn-know what to do anymore... (sniff)

I-I don't know why I stole that pearl to began with anymore... (sob)

W-why did I let myself get ch-chaght by the protector in the first place... (sniff)

Gourmand decides not to inform Pyro of his own and Wind's growing suspicions and distrust of The Protector.

(After calming herself down a little bit she decided to explain what has happened to her family to gourmand and who they were)

The Pyro: (sniff) so-sorry about all those questions I said, I'll try to slow down a little bit,

but I guess I'll try my best to explain, who my family was to began with to you, because I don't know who else to trust at this point,

Anywho, I used to have a mom that was a dark redish color?, who had explosive abilities I saw were used to get me and my sibling around better, and to get food easier, I also used to have a brother named smog, who was a greenish shy but kind hearted sibling of mine, and also my abilities are just weaker versions of my mother's so far, but it could be possible that I have fire as a secondary within the bombs or something?,but another to say is that,

I never got to know what his abilities really were anymore because one cycle, we were at a place where scavengers were and as we were passing though, I couldn't help but notice a shiny white pearl nearby, and when I took it without my mom looking,

That's when I realized that I have made a horrible mistake, because as soon as I did that, I was blown away by a bomb, then as i ate the pearl I was running away for my life, as I saw my sibling fell into to water, and he never came back up to even call for help, he has drowned, but I don't know what has happened to my mother after all that, a couple cycles after I barely escaped from the scavengers,

The Protector has discovered me being lost and afraid, and it took me as soon as possible without much hesitation, to forfill its "programing"?, I never understood why the that thing even did it to began with but, I sometimes wish I was never found by that heartless thing,

(stomach growl)

because it forces us to be with it at all times,

(The pyro begins to feel angry as she sizzles a bit)

To taking away our freedom,

,Starving us

,Making us feel sick and-

-Grr! (She calmed herself down again as she spits out the white pearl, before talking about another real problem)

(Heavy sigh) I just can't escape from the machine even if i really wanted to, because I'm too weak and scared to even try anymore,

That robot probably knows EVERYTHING about you, your family, your friends, possibly even those other slugpups, it just doesn't identify all of you as a threat yet,

I-Im just so scared gourmand!, I don't know what to do anymore!, I can't escape from the protector!, I'm sorry smog!

(She says as she begins to cry hopelessly)

That name still sounds oddly familiar to me for some reason, because it sounds like someone my mother used to talk to, that I never really got to know who they really are, like are they my mother's friend?, why cada specifically?,

And how could that idea possibly be worse than what I'm going though right now gourmand?

The Pyro: oh no no no!, I'm out of time, I can't accept your request anymore, I need to go back to them now, I can't risk all of your guys safety, I'm-I'm sorry gourmand, but I need to go NOW! (She says as she panics and backs away from gourmand, to prepare to run towards the protector, to avoid anymore aggression from the robot)
