“Uh, combatant five.” Well he thinks so anyways. “The other program with me forfeited the last round.”
“Well, lucky you.” He responded with a playful nudge to his shoulder. “Sounds like you dodged a disc there kid. If I were you, I’d count my blessings and stay out of trouble. You might not be so fortunate next time.”
Beck gives him a side grin. “Trouble always seems to find me unfortunately.” His grin fades some. “Though I could certainly do without seeing someone derezzed.”
“That’s kinda up the civies isn’t it? If everyone follows commands like good little scrips, there’d be no need to derez anyone. If not, well… then whatever happens is on them. That’s the way it is. Better get used to it kid, cuz I don’t see that changing anytime soon.”
He shrugs. “Just cause that’s the way it is, doesn’t mean I’ll do it. I think I’d rather derezz than kill someone.”

He manages a tired smile from where he’s slumped against him. “Yeah, yeah, you can lecture me later.” Beck grimaces and looks down from the disc wound that should have killed him if it hadn’t been for Crosis saving him.

With a soft amused chuckle, he lightly tapped a finger on the edge of the disk. Activating it’s holographic display with a technical readout of the mods capabilities. “Not exactly. More like a stalling measure. Useful if you wanna make a hasty retreat of put some distance between yourself and an enemy.”
His eyes widen slightly as he reads over the readout. “I could have used this a little while back.” He jokes, and gives him a smile. “Thank you, this might just save my life one of these times.”
