"You want to drive down to California still? I mean, we could do it if you really want to." Ferris said with a sad expression. The boy was still trying to get over the fact the police were so onto them that they couldn’t stay in Vegas much longer.

"It could be fun after all that's happening," She said with a small smile, trying to remain optimistic. Aspen couldn't help but feel a bit upset that she was leaving her home of nearly two years so her next reaction was to help everyone else to a better mood.

"Why thank you, I try." He returned with a smirk. "I like you when you’re short, then I can make fun of you as you struggle to reach things." He explained with a wink. "Yeah, but you’re not supposed to talk while you do it. Leave it there for like ten seconds."

The girl’s mouth remained open as she replied in an open mouthed smile. Aspen groaned at the no talking part. She wanted to say that it was almost impossible — even if only for ten seconds — and that the only time she didn’t talk was when she was asleep. Her green eyes rolled playfully as he talked about her height, the smile still on her lips.

"I know, I’m hilarious." He said with a quick wink headed her way. "Because, we were given HGH and we all became tall and burly. You were too cute to get injected with the hormones, so we didn’t allow them to do it to you." The boy prodded poking at the girl’s side. "Try to put it on the back of your tongue where the sour-sensing taste buds are." He guided her watching as she grabbed the spoon from the drawer.

"Like comedian hilarious, you should try," a hiccup cuts her off but she continues anyways,"like stand up or somthing," She added with a grin. The girl hiccuped,"Yeah, well a few more inches would be greatly appreciated," She said, jumping at his touch. A giggle escaped her lips along with another hiccup. Aspen took a spoonful of sugar and put it on her tongue. She kept her mouth open, but managed to get out a distorted,"Is this right?"

"Second star to the right and straight on ‘till morning." The boy teased patting her gently on the head. "Just kidding, it’s the second shelf in that cabinet." He told her pointing to one of the cabinets in the large kitchen.

Aspen laughed,”Fun—” another hiccup struck,”ny.” Aspen looked up to where Ferris was pointing and stood on her toes to reach the sugar. “Why are people–”The girl pauses to hiccup once again,”so tall here,” She finished as she turned around towards Ferris and set the sugar down. She quickly grabbed spoon and played with the sugar,”Okay, so do I just put it in my mouth or…?” She trailed off.
