Artist's Statement:

"I grew up in Sweden, but live in the USA now. When I was 15 years old I started making images out of yarn. Since then I have made some pictures up to 4 × 6 feet large, that now hang in private homes offices and churches. From a distance, they look like paintings, but they are all made out of fiber, mostly yearns and fabrics, and I call them fibrations." Source

Arghavan Khosravi (b. 1984, Tehran, Iran)

"Painter Arghavan Khosravi was raised in Tehran, Iran. Khosravi's work is deeply connected to her own personal experience of the culture and politics of her homeland of Iran that probe both personal and political experiences by integrating historical motifs with imagery taken from popular culture and contemporary media.

In 2018, she received an MFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design after completing a post-baccalaureate in studio art at Brandeis University. Prior to that, Khosravi earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Islamic Azad University of Tehran and an MFA in Illustration from University of Tehran."
