With a quick look on his old friend’s wounds does black-haired man turn to him. “These are bruises not difficult to treat.” Getting up quickly as if he wants this issue to be done, Snape decides to enlighten the other man. “I can give you some potion for sleeping. But first-let me take care of these wounds” Now standing next to him, he points his wand at the bruises Lucius mentioned.
“Episkey…” Seconds later there is not a trace left of them, and Snape sits down again. “Now for the sedative you asked”, he says, “I can make potion to help you sleep better, but it will take a while brewing it” He narrows his dark eyes ever-so-slightly, as if concentrating hard. Then he states: “You might have some sort of nightmares after taking the potion, but I can assure you you’ll feel well rested and rejuvenated after waking up.”
he wants to voice his appreciation at severus’ COMPLIANCE to brew a potion for him, but the spell cast by him to quickly ( and effectively, no doubt about it ) treat minor injuries has lucius biting back a YELP of surprise instead - there’s hardly any pain involved in the procedure, and he should have known his friend to be a man of QUICK action, but the feeling of skin mending itself within seconds is more of an uncomfortable burning sensation than he’d expected.
tips of his fingers are GHOSTING over where injuries hurt just a second ago just to make sure they definitely weren’t bound to return. snape’s explanation however forces his attention back to reality, and lucius gives a thankful though slightly confused nod. “ i’m … certain you’ll find this residence can OFFER you anything required for brewing potions - if you … happen to have your equipment with you, feel free to start whenever it’s convenient. ”
A little smile of appreciation creeps onto the black-haired wizard's lips, and is as quickly gone again, replaced by a pensive expression. "I might still have to get some of the ingredients, but the process of brewing itself won't take more than three hours... " With that being said, Snape makes his way downstairs where he recalls the residence's dungeon to be located. Once he arrives, he checks which ingredients he has still to fetch. Luckily he's just missing the sopophorous bean. After looking in the cupboards he finds one. The Potions Master starts the brewing with Wormwood and Valerian, then puts in some juice of Flobberworm and the bean. He adds a sprinkle of powdered asphodel and heats the cauldron accordingly. After 3 hours, the sleeping draught shines a bright purple coulour. Knowing by that he brewed it correctly, Snape fills it into one of the vials he always has with him and returns to Lucius.
