Still thinking about that quest All That Remains and just how much Hawke goes through in the loss of their family. I felt this further focus on Hawke's family throughout da2 so far, from the quests where they're involved such as sneaking into the Amell Estate after Bethany brings it up, the introduction of the game showing the family on the run, and scenes here and there that bring these interactions between Hawke and their family, it's just tragic how much Hawke does to help their family and in the end, it's just them that remains.

From Malcolm already being dead at the start, then losing a sibling in the escape from Lothering depending on which class you choose to then losing the other sibling at the end of Act 1 once Hawke is able to move their family away from Lowtown and is eager to share the news. In my playthrough, Bethany was taken by the templars. Then it's just Hawke and Leandra. Their family won't ever be the same, but they still have each other at least and there can be some small comfort found in that. Then All That Remains happens and Hawke's all alone. Their entire family dwindled down until it's just Hawke alone.

Just did the quest line with that serial killer and the desperation in Hawke’s voice, following that blood trail was heartbreaking

finally posting about my friend @ultravioletdisguise and I’s Dragon Age x The Great Comet of 1812 AU

we’ve taken some elements from the musical and some from the War and Peace source material to create an entire cinematic universe featuring the entire Dragon Age 2 cast (with Hawke and Anders at the center). Probably the most self indulgent and niche thing we could’ve come up with but we’ve fleshed it out too much to look back now

expect to see a lot more art of them moving forward, as I have a huge backlog of stuff I’ve drawn over the past few months!

Just spent almost the whole day playing through da2. I adore my Hawke so much. She’s so sarcastic but still has her moments of pure anger and sincerity with others when it counts. Something about having dialogue choices voiced really adds to the immersion and attachment to Hawke. I still love my DAO character but Hawke feels very real as a character in comparison

Just finished awakening and the architect storyline was very interesting. For my first time, it did feel a bit slow at first until I focused mostly on the main plot as it felt overwhelming with the number of sidequests and things to do. However it was good at the end!

#out of my favorite companions I’d say they were Nathaniel anders and velanna #they were my main party and their banter a lot of fun #now onto the witch hunt which I’m most excited about!!#dragon age origins

Playing through the awakening dlc and while I really enjoy Nathaniel and Anders, I just want this adventure done

#can’t even interact with them without having to interact with some specific environmental thing so it feels like there’s not much here #am still trying to get through it but I don’t think I’ll play awakening again unless some choice here is so important that it impacts the #next games #love the main story but I guess it doesn’t feel the same without the ability to interact with my party as in the main story #and I just don’t feel as invested in this plot as I did with the main story #dragon age origins

Listening to alistair’s rose by the dread halls tavern on loop and I can’t stop crying oh no

I don’t know who I really thought I was going for, most likely zevran once I saw him. But allistair…he GOT me twirling my hair and smiling so much at his humor and sweetness. I thought I was going to be like friends with him but I was absolutely gone in lothering. I did not stand a chance

#also picked a human noble and halfway through the game saw that I had the unique choice of being queen along with allistair #naturally I took it #on a related note the last two save files on that game is ‘I think I fucked up’#I’m so interested in exploring other routes and other endings for future playthroughs #like I’m already formulating which origins will have a specific allistair ending #and who sacrifices or whether it happens at all #I feel weird about that ritual scene. it was baffling but like moving on #anyways I love this game overall. it’s got such an intricate setting. it’s not a perfect game by any means but I’m hooked.#I’m just in my echo chamber here but I’m so happy #dragon age origins

Feeling like I’m getting closer to finishing origins and got a black screen upon finishing the urn of sacred ashes quest. Tried reloading again and completing the quest and got it again. I’m going to lose my mind. IM SO CLOSE TO FINISHING THIS GAME
