Concept art of Nabooru from Zelda (As Iron Knuckle)
Hello,
I discovered your blog today and really enjoyed it. The often narrow perception of female characters in games is a great inspiration for working in this industry. I hope it continues to get better and I'm sure it will if these issues are continually vocalised by people like you.
I recently painted this concept of Nabooru from Zelda as she falls from her Iron Knuckle armour in the Spirit Temple of Ocarina of Time, I hope the armour is reasonable enough! I'll be fixing things in future if I see anything ridiculous (of which there is a lot) and I hope to be a regular contributor here - I might take on the challenge of painting Quiet the sniper from MGS..
Thanks for your time and keep up the great work!

In honor of the 15th Anniversary of Nabooru's game, Ocarina of Time, I'm breaking regulation and the queue to post this. Laura, this is incredible. First, I'm so happy that you (and Ubisoft by extension) have taken note of our efforts and are doing something about the issues of equality and sexualizationin games (I'll be posting Ubisoft Montreal's excellent female assassins soon, and would love suggestions for Ubisoft UK games to post). Thank you so much for your hard work on all your video games. Secondly, OH MY GOD. This is so perfect. I included the original artwork of Nabooru and the Iron Knuckle to show how spot on the design is. It's a pity the Gerudo weren't in Twilight Princess, because this is probably exactly what they'd look like.
Laura, we would be honored if you continued sharing your artwork with us! I know I'm looking forward to that Quiet redesign if you decide to move forward with it.
