Jupiter-Venus Square: How Every Star Sign Gets Out of Plans
Excuses, excuses! Gemini season may have us spreading our social butterfly wings, but a Jupiter-Venus square (tense, 90-degree angle) on June 7 reminds us we can only be in one place at a time. With hedonistic Jupiter in meticulous Virgo forming a tense 90-degree angle to amiable Venus in chatty Gemini, there is a tendency to overbook our already overpacked schedules, which might have us using every excuse under our sun signs to get out of a few plans.
Fortunately, we teamed up with our friends at ELLE and came up with the perfect list of excuses to bail for each of the twelve zodiac signs. Click here to read the post!
A little more about the Jupiter-Venus square from our weekly horoscopes:
This week, responsible indulgence is the name of the game, as these two celestial bodies will form their exact square in mutable signs, reminding us that all good things must come to an end. In astrology, Jupiter and Venus are also known as “benefics,” because their effects are typically positive and pleasurable. This means that even when their alignment is not necessarily a favorable one, we can still use this complicated mashup to our advantage. Alluring Venus will provide a feast for our senses, drawing us to art, romance, fashion, and beauty, while expansive Jupiter encourages us to broaden our horizons and help shift our perspectives.
But don’t expect a sudden epiphany or aha moment…as these cosmic lessons won’t happen overnight. The key to navigating this tricky Venus-Jupiter square is to become aware of your deepest desires and actually acknowledge them, rather than sweep anything under the rug. Remember to look closely before taking any big leaps of faith or letting go completely…and approach any vulnerability and risk-taking with tenacity. In the words of Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius Mark Twain, “Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.”
Meantime for some inspiration about how you can get out of a few extraneous plans of your own this week, read our article on ELLE and see if it works for YOU! And if all else fails, make like a Virgo and say you’re “helping a friend through a crisis.”

Gemini Moneyscope: 7 Tips to Manifest Financial Abundance
Ready to put your money where your mouth is? We’re excited to bring you this “moneyscope” column tailored specifically to Gemini season, to help attract financial abundance into your life. We’ve tapped our friend Hillary Augustine—a fiscal health and healing expert—to share her cosmic economic wisdom as a guest contributor for quick-witted, super-charged Gemini Season. Enjoy! –T&O
By Hillary Augustine Financial Health & Healing Expert
From May 20 to June 20, the Sun is breezing through chatty Gemini, the irresistible sign of the Twins and first air sign of the zodiac. Our global approach to finances will be colored by this fresh gust of wind, making us vibrant, quick, communicative, restless, and even impulsive.
Gemini is the star sign ruled by Mercury, the fleet-footed messenger planet, making us all feel more spontaneous and dynamic. This restless energy can make us more prone to capricious spending—before we know it, money can slip right through our fingers. Unless, of course, we harness the energy of Gemini season, and work with creative, out of the box solutions that let us play and indulge without breaking the bank.
Here are seven savvy spending strategies to engage with your finances in a healthier way and help fuel sustainable change—all while resisting apathy and boredom.
1. Use your hands: Hold and spend cash.
Gemini is the star sign associated with the hands and fingers. Instead of breaking out the debit or credit card, hold and spend actual cash this month. This is a more tangible way to stay on top of your spending patterns. For the first week, calculate how much you spend in seven days by writing it in a small notebook or on a piece of paper. Identify abnormal expenditures. For example, you bought tires (not a weekly occurrence) or you hosted a big party (food expenses are unrealistically high). Subtract irregular expenses to represent your typical weekly cash outflow. The second week, withdraw this amount of money from the bank. Spend ONLY the withdrawn cash for one week—and for extra credit points, journal about the emotions that arise when you have to “deprive” yourself by not spending something that’s not in your cash-conscious budget.
Consider repeating this exercise for several weeks to gain consciousness of your cashflow. Palpably touching the money in your wallet will serve as a modern day, money-mediation practice. It’s slow. It’s rhythmic. It’s intentional. And, it’s a Gemini-stoked revolutionary act. In a plastic-based society, using cash activates new brain synapses that have gone numb in a credit card swiped, comatose existence.
2. Use your words.
Gemini energy is verbal, communicative and quick with words. So forget what you heard about money being a taboo topic. Start communicating about your cashflow and talk to friends or a financial planner about how to earn more, invest, or strategize for savings.
3. Find a “money twin” for a 30-day challenge.
Since Gemini season is all about #twinning, pick someone to do this exercise with. Sit down (over coffee or a cocktail…this IS Gemini season, after all) and discuss the following three questions, and then, write them down.
I want to save X dollars in 30 days.
I want to give X dollars in 30 days.
I want to cut my expenses in this category X dollars in 30 days.
For the next step, you’ll both need to make a list of potential hurdles to your goals. Make a second list of all the people who will support your success. Read your two lists aloud to your money twin. As you speak, help each other identify obstacles and additional supportive elements. Your twin will see things for you that you don’t see, and vice versa.
In 30 days, share the results with your support person. Check in regularly throughout the month. To stay in the game, weekly—even daily texts or calls—can be helpful. Remember: perfection is not the goal…but awareness is. At the end of the 30 days, answer these questions:
Did you meet your goal?
If yes, how did you do it?
If not, what hurdles got in your way?
Every piece of data is significant to highlight your money patterns. Remember, seemingly subtle adjustments foster sustainable change. During Gemini season, it’s all about the details. Little financial tweaks go a long way.
4. Make it automatic.
Gemini and its ruler Mercury governs the mobile world, helping us find quick and clever ways to track and transfer data. Tap those apps, or use your bank’s online services to automatically flow a set amount of cash to different savings accounts each week. Ask your human resources department to divide your paycheck between savings and checking. Use online tools like www.digit.co (tap their free app) to begin saving money right away. Digit scans your bank account every few days to withdraw a safe amount from your checking account based on your lifestyle. You will receive updates via text with inspirational quotes to support your savings journey. As their website says, “Save money without thinking about it.”
Also, does your employer offer a 401K or 403(b) matching plan? These plans require a certain percentage of allocated pretax income. The employer generally matches between 3%–6% of your contribution. Essentially, you get bonus income from your employer for saving money. If you are self-employed, you can use the same strategy. Is there an ideal time in your money month (first, middle, or last) to auto-flow a certain amount toward savings or retirement? Setup a Self Employment Retirement Plan (SEP), or a mutual fund or stock portfolio with your financial planner. For the self-learners, use online websites like www.etrade.com or www.vanguard.com. Both websites offer financial advising assistance to learn about investment strategies. Ritualized activities and automatic savings strategies grow a small seedling into a full grown money tree.
5. Make a play fund.
Gemini season is all about fun, curiosity, and creativity. We can’t deprive ourselves of life’s pleasures! Make a list of your top three impulsive pleasures. Pick one pleasurable, fun item from your list. How much do you need to set aside daily, weekly, or monthly to manifest that reality? Use your www.digit.co money as the “play fund,” set up a weekly, online transfer to a savings account, or plan a weekly ATM visit specifically to withdraw fun money. You are weaving together frivolous spending with increased money consciousness. Enjoy the integration and the spending that comes with it!
6. Get two for the price of one.
The buddy pass is perfect for the time of #twinning. Invite your money twin to a free gym class or free museum admittance. Monthly pay-what-you-can or free museum offerings are popular in most major cities. New experiences with a buddy will invite fresh discussions, new ideas, and future money strategies to flourish. Don’t forget about 2–for–1 deals from www.livingsocial.com or www.groupon.com as you plan your #twintime. Wonder-Twin powers, activate!
7. Money education: watch and read.
Gemini season can often mean notoriously short attention spans, but you can learn in quick bursts. Google some TED Talks about finance to pull together a comprehensive list of recommended money videos. Pay a visit to Lynne Twist: The Soul of Money Institute to download the audio version of the “Soul of Money.” Short, daily commitments (20–30 minutes) of audio listening will change your money perspective over time.
With supercharged creativity this season, I also recommend considering money guidance patterns through the portal of traveling: Read, “Dream. Save. Do: An Action Plan for Dreamers Like You.” There is nothing like a dream to capture and guide impulsive money strategies. To further supplement your learning, read one financial article per week. I recommend looking at the website: www.PennyHoarder.com. They offer practical, real-life money hack stories with an innovative, energetic vibe.
During Gemini season, don’t stifle yourself with “shoulds.” There is only room for uniquely customized solutions to your financial life. As a bonus expression, paint your world with splashes of yellow; post-it notes are a perfect Gemini size and color. Use visual cues to support the exercises above. Remember, you won’t find clarification through traditional routes. Expect a kaleidoscope of blended data, intentional conversations, and unexpected options to serve as your compass and your guide. The sky is truly the limit with Gemini energy supporting your creative money efforts.

Have your cake…but for best results, slice it up and enjoy in portions. Responsible indulgence is the name of the game this week as decadent Venus forms a tricky square (90-degree angle) to hedonistic Jupiter. These two planets are called “benefics” because their astrological effects are primarily positive, proactive and pleasurable. So even when they clash—as they will at an exact degree on Tuesday, June 7—the effects of their complicated meetup can still be useful. Thanks to Venus, we’ll be drawn to high beauty, art, romance and fashion. Jupiter piques our curiosity, making us want to learn, explore, and experience it all to the fullest. And now! But these lessons may come the hard way this week as we realize that Rome wasn’t built in a day…and that a 48-hour Roman orgy can come with hella consequences. Oh, the heartburn! The key to mastering a Venus-Jupiter square is to notice your desires and honor them. But instead of grasping for the shiniest object or letting FOMO take hold, sate your lust for life in a measured way. Willpower? Check. In the words of Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius Mark Twain, “Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.” And that fact-finding mission could be truly entertaining since Venus is in Gemini and Jupiter in Virgo—two of the most trivia-obsessed signs in the zodiac.
On Sunday, June 12 messenger Mercury—the planet ruling both Gemini and Virgo, in fact—wraps up an extended tour through Taurus that began on April 5 and waged for two months due to a retrograde from April 28 to May 22. (Anyone else trying to forget that painful period?) Now, Mercury slides into home base, cascading through Gemini until June 29 and joining the Sun and Venus there. Being the natural ruler of Gemini, the next two-plus weeks bring a double shot of curious, communicative vibes. Come on out of those cocoons and commune with the other social butterflies. Seek kindred spirits and playmates—even if they are a tribe of fellow introverts like the ones gathered by Quiet author Susan Cain. No matter what your social style, Gemini is all about #twinning. Pair up on projects, or find a go-to buddy for festivals, beach trips, and dancing under the stars. Don’t sleep on the locals! Mercury in Gemini heats up action close to home. Some of us could get the scene started ourselves. Both Mercury and Gemini rule the hands, so get those DIY dreams in motion. The crafters and makers will truly enjoy this tactile phase. Writers, teachers and media makers, too—sharing information and ideas is what Mercury in Gemini loves. Unfortunately, this quicksilver energy won’t give us the longest attention spans. Our interests could change daily…hourly even…so committing to our craft could take some extra discipline.
There’s also a quarter moon in Virgo on Sunday, helping us streamline, simplify and systematize. Has life gotten messy? Tap these moonbeams for a clean-up project, as Virgo is the zodiac’s efficiency expert. The devil is in the details, but so is a chorus of angels. By fine-tuning “the little things” we can take our efforts from “meh” to “magical.” When cooking up that recipe for success, be more selective with ingredients. Are they sustainably sourced, consciously crafted, and manufactured with care and integrity? Invest a little more on quality this weekend, even if that means simplifying other aspects of the plan to keep the budget in balance. On the flip side, some of us have fallen prey to debilitating perfectionism. This quarter moon calms the obsessing and reminds us that it’s okay to make some mistakes along the way. That’s what the learning process is all about.

Gemini Healthstrology: Wellness Tips for Gemini Season
Ready to revitalize? We’re excited to bring you our monthly “healthstrology” column that focuses on feeling your best during every solar cycle. We’ve tapped our friend Stephanie Gailing, MS—an astrologer and wellness alchemist—to share her wisdom as a guest contributor for Gemini Season. Enjoy and salud! –T&O
By Stephanie Gailing, MS Astrologer & Wellness Alchemist
Each year, when the Sun zings through Gemini (May 20–June 20), we experience the ability to tap into the communicative, agile, and youthful qualities this star sign represents. And while this may provide us with more connection to our curiosity, intellectual orientation, and social nature, this time—like all others—may also offer us an array of unique challenges.
Turning to wellness astrology, and keeping in mind the unique strengths and vulnerabilities associated with Gemini, we can find stellar ways to encourage vitality, reduce stress, and fine-tune our overall well-being.
Below you’ll find some self-care strategies to feel your best during Gemini Season.
Gemini Wellness Mantras:
I’ll adapt
My curiosity will lead me to the answer
My mind and body are connected
Gemini Stress-Reducing Allies
Flexibility
Light-hearted perspective
Non-attachment
Wellness Arena
In wellness astrology, aspects of our anatomy and physiology correspond with the twelve zodiac signs. Those that are associated with Gemini include the lungs, nervous system, and arms, shoulders, wrists, and fingers.
Body Focus
Inhale and Exhale With Gemini ruling the lungs, it’s a good time to support the health of our respiratory system. If you have asthma or frequent respiratory colds, try limiting your intake of dairy foods and food additives, as these can exacerbate bronchial symptoms in some people by increasing mucous production. Pay attention to your breathing, making sure it’s deep and rhythmic, since shallow breathing can lead to reduced energy, a foggy mind and a feeling of greater anxiousness. Explore your connection to your breath by doing a breathwork meditative inquiry. In Chinese medicine, the lungs are associated with grief. Working through and releasing repressed grief may be a powerful prescription to help you breath better, both physically and emotionally.
Allay Accidents With butterfly energy abound, Gemini season may have us laser-focused and multitasking like it’s going out of style. And while performing many activities at once reflects the active and restless energy of the times, it’s not necessarily the best recipe for safety. This is especially true when an activity involves moving objects, such as driving, which should be done as a concentrated activity. No matter how badly you want to call someone or check Facebook—don’t! Even the walking and texting duo can lead to accidents if you failed to notice that ditch in the sidewalk, or car in the intersection. What’s worse is this type of mindless multitasking takes takes us out of the game of being present, and noticing the beauty of the environment that surrounds us. To mitigate the accident-prone nature of this time, practice mindfulness, the art of being present in mind and body. Eating Guidance
Eat Regularly, with Flexibility During Gemini season, routines are sometimes hard to follow…the idea of regularly scheduled meals being one of them. Something shiny and new may catch your attention, and the next thing you know is you’ve forgotten to eat lunch—then your blood sugar drops, reminding you that something’s off kilter. Make your meals interesting so that they won’t get relegated to the bottom of your growing to-do list. And if you find yourself not wanting to get pinned down to an exact mealtime, carve out a more flexible 90-minute window in which to enjoy your fare. If the idea of three squares daily doesn’t work for you, consider scheduling in five–to–six mini-meals to keep you nourished throughout your busy day.
Slow Down Another challenge during this time may be that once we get around to eating, we want to rush through it, so as to get on to what we perceive is a more interesting mentally-stimulating activity—whether that’s a work project, Instagram upload, or chat with friends. Yet, eating too fast yields indigestion and a less-than-optimal absorption of nutrients, which can then leave you depleted in physical and mental energy. Practicing mindful eating can make mealtimes more engaging, having us slow down and be in the present moment of awareness. Enjoy meals composed of a spectrum of different colors, tastes, and textures to inspire the desire to want to leisurely savor every bite.
Foods To Consider
Oats Oats are a great way to start the day. Like Gemini, they’re flexible—and can be served hot as oatmeal or cold as muesli. Not only are oats rich in soluble fiber and can lower cholesterol, but their traditional benefits also soothing frayed nerves, something we may need some extra help with during this fluttered season. Plus, eating oats for breakfast may contribute to elevated cognitive performance and sustained energy throughout the day. Opt for rolled oats instead of instant oatmeal; the former take only a few minutes and provide you with a greater richness of nutrients. And if sweet isn’t the way you like to start your day, enjoy oats in a savory way—with some miso, spices, and steamed vegetables.
Dairy Free Milk Alternatives Asthma and other complaints of the Gemini-ruled respiratory system are often linked to dairy allergies. If breathing easier is one of your current health goals, see whether dairy is a trigger for you by doing an Elimination Diet. Dairy-free milk alternatives are more popular than ever, with scores of them lining the grocery shelves. While soy milk once held sway as the sole member of the dairy-free milk pantheon, there’s now a cornucopia of others—such as milk made from almond, hazelnut, cashew, hemp, oats, coconut, and more—from which to choose. It’s even easier to get dairy-free milk at coffee bars these days, with many now offering more than just soy milk as a choice. Or try this simple cashew cream recipe if you like a thicker consistency for your java.
Flower Essences
White Chestnut The data-driven energy of Gemini season has us collecting facts and figures. And with the intellectual orientation of this time, our minds may be spinning with thoughts, circulating for analysis and reflection, inspiring what appears to be a perpetual mental merry-go-round. If you need help calming the mind-chatter and curtailing the reins of looping thoughts, try White Chestnut flower essence. It’s great for both daytime mental flurry, as well as the pre-sleep mind circles that could keep you up at night.
Cerato It’s a communicative time, one when we’re chatting it up and seeking insights from other people—lots of other people. And while this fact-finding can be informative, if we rely on the advice of others too frequently, it can muffle our ability to connect to our inner voice. And with that, indecision and confusion may prevail, as could making choices that are imbued with the tapestry of other’s opinion and don’t represent our true needs. When you need to boost the volume on your inner knowingness and the trust to rely upon it, consider Cerato flower essence.
Spa Treatments
Manicure With Gemini ruling the hands, it’s a good time to take care of them, as they are responsible for many of the activities tied to this season: writing, collecting information, meeting and greeting people. Plus, you may notice the way you gesticulate becomes amplified. So, put your best hand forward by treating yourself to a manicure. This doesn’t need to be time consuming or expensive as many salons offer express manicures. Treat yourself to a few additional minutes of massage if that’s an option. This will help relax your muscles improve your circulation, since the hands hold so much tension and yet, don’t often get the TLC they deserve.
Chair Massage Being pulled in many directions with more limited time to spend on any given thing doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the relaxation that massage can yield. And if you don’t have time for a full-on session, look for places that offer chair massages. These mini-sessions—usually 15 minutes or so—offer a time-efficient path to relaxation. During this session, you rest fully clothed in a padded chair while the practitioner kneads through the kinks and stress residing in your back and Gemini-ruled shoulders and arms. Look for chair massages in malls as well as airports—a quickie wellness treat for whenever you’re on the go.
Relaxation Practices
Journaling Got a lot of thoughts, ideas, and creative inspiration streaming through your mind? If so, grab a journal and document them. Whether you write in prose form, jot down phrases or key words, express yourself in poetry, or draw. Getting the words and images out of your head and onto a page—or computer screen— can be a centering exercise during Gemini season. If you want to feel more inspired journaling, consider purchasing or making a new one. If you’re looking for a new exercise that can help hone the undercurrents of your thoughts, try non-dominant handwriting.
Games and Puzzles This may sound paradoxical but things that enliven our minds may also relax them during Gemini season. So if you’re looking for a way to unwind, invite some friends over for game night. Whether you play Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Cards Against Humanity, or any of your other favorite board or card game, your social gatherings with be buzzing with activity. And for those times you want to find your center within and be alone, try a crossword or Sudoku puzzle or play a game of solitaire for a more meditative experience.

Our resident number-guru Felicia Bender, The Practical Numerologist, joins us on AstroStyle every month to give you a new kind of forecast, one that will complement your Monthly Horoscope.
To find your monthly Numerology prediction, you have to do a wee bit o’ math to calculate your Personal Year Number—see instructions below—which influences your whole year (from January 1 until December 31). Tap into the energy to plan your month ahead!
READY, SET, CALCULATE: Find your Personal Year Number for 2016
• Take your birth date (for example): 3/24/1984 • Now replace the year you were born with the current year: 3/24/2016 • Now add those numbers together like a long addition math problem: 3 + 2 + 4 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 6 = 18 • Digit down to a single-digit number, so keep adding: 1+8= 9 • If this were your birthday, you’re experiencing an “9” Personal Year in 2016
YOUR JUNE 2016 NUMEROLOGY FORECAST
If you’re having a 1 Personal Year June is a 7 Month:
This is a dynamic year for you! Takethe wheel, take charge, and watch as many things come into focus. Many changes and shifts have already occurred for you this year, but more are still en route. Try to enjoy the ride! Several issues you’ve been working on since the beginning of the year are gaining clarity, giving you direction. With direction comes conviction…and with conviction comes change. June provides you with vital opportunities to take stock of what’s been brewing. Now is the time to plan for what you want to achieve by the end of the year. Since June is a 7 Month for you, understand that—while life is whirling around you—any time you’re able to devote to yourself will be rewarded. This is the month for planning rather than doing. You might find that you schedule more time to unplug—to take a short vacation, retreat, or by carving out your own “staycation” or “home retreat.” Plenty of “me” time is in the cards for June, but it’s up to you to make it happen.
If you’re having a 2 Personal Year June is an 8 Month:
You’ll enjoy a sense of forward motion this month—but at a slow and steady pace to exercise patience. Do you feel frustrated…or are you going with the flow? More accurately, are you using your time this year to renew and rekindle your relationships, slow down, and give more to your love connections (both intimate and family)? Are you putting yourself out there to build partnerships and affiliations either for business, pleasure…or both? However, if you’re experiencing the Master 11/2 Personal Year, you might scoff at the idea of “slower.” While you may be moving ahead at warp speed, this year is still infused with higher illumination that unfolds only when you practice a patient approach. This is how you’ll open up to the wonders of the small things and to synchronicity—the connections and collusions that are already all around you. On June 2nd or 5th, some important affairs—particularly business—will begin to move ahead more freely. June is the time to engage your personal power and financial va va voom. The 8 Month amplifies whatever it works with, but will require laser focus and taking action.
If you’re having a 3 Personal Year June is an 9 Month:
Your 3 Personal Year is a fun, joyful, and creative year chock-full of socializing and activity. The caveat? Are you truly tapping into and using your creativity to the best of your abilities? Are you working with your emotions in an authentic and expressive way—letting yourself feel and expressing those feelings in a healthy and balanced manner? This is on your plate year, so if these emotional issues present a struggle, you could be feeling a bit fed-up or overwhelmed by now. June is accentuating the emotional intensity of the year and some matters are reaching a conclusion for you this month. You may also complete your preparations for a creative venture. This project—or groundwork for the project—is recalibrating itself so that something new or expanded can come into play. Yet, you can’t quite see that aspect of it just yet. Rather than allowing yourself to feel great about a re-calibrating of your project (or a relationship), you’re feeling a sense of unease or even fear over what’s happening in the here and now. A business affair may also end during June—either suddenly or totally expected. And on top of that, a friendship or association may too fall away, possibly around June 9th or 18th. So June holds out some major opportunities for letting go and shedding people and projects that you’ve outgrown. Consider it “spring cleaning,” and pay attention to how light you’ll feel after you shake it off.
If you’re having a 4 Personal Year June is a 1 Month:
The dramatic shift that began in April continues to advance this month. Since this is your year of hard work, building foundations, and getting your systems in place, last month may have felt somewhat disconcerting because it was difficult (if not impossible) to control what was happening. The universe stepped in and took over, which meant that you were just were along for the ride. If you resisted, you likely feel pretty exhausted now. If you threw your hands in the air and allowed yourself to let go, you’ll begin to see things fall into place. On or about June 16th, whatever you’ve been working on will be propelled forward by an unusual experience or a friend who adds some impressive and much needed input. The issue with the energy of the number 4 (the energy of your year) is that your ability to be flexible and think outside of your own self-imposed box is challenged. You might find that you consciously lift yourself out of your routine this month, and explore something new—new ideas, new people, new…something, anything! Put simply, you might find that you’re making things far too difficult for yourself this year. Take a risk and step off your beaten path, and you’ll be oh-so pleasantly surprised at the short-cuts and better systems available to you right now—you just aren’t aware that they exist. Not yet, anyway.
If you’re having a 5 Personal Year June is an 11/2 Month:
June should be quite an interesting month! Envision yourself as the eye of the hurricane—a point of stillness in the midst of chaos. And this might feel almost counter-intuitive to you, given that 2016 is all about rapid change and channeling your adventurous spirit. But remember…it’s all about timing. June is your time for patience, tact and diplomacy. Although your endeavors will continue to move ahead, the pace is likely to be slower than it was last month. Expect some holdups, delays, or even downright halts in your flow. Around June 5th or 9th, you might need to place yourself in a standstill for a bit. Don’t push it, and try to accept these temporary delays. If you continue to force things, you may unwittingly disrupt your cosmic schedule. Passion alert! The excitement of love and romance is also in the air. Be extremely sensitive in all your personal relations. And speaking of sensitivity—tap into yours and you’ll really benefit from some important spiritual insights. If you’re listening to your inner voice, these new ideas and thoughts have the potential to lead you to new directions in your life, particularly on June 18th. Overall, June is a month to back off from the go-go-go, and take the time to cultivate and enjoy your relationships.
If you’re having a 6 Personal Year June is a 3 Month:
This is a service and duty year for you, make no mistake. Practice care and service—for yourself and for others. All year long you’ll be met with issues involving responsibility, relationships, and justice. And usually, the year brings in some emotional volatility as well, especially on the home and family front. Numerologists don’t call the 6 Personal Year “the marriage and divorce year” for nothing! Last month was slow moving, full of delays which tried our patience. But this slow down has now ran its course. The changes in your home life you initiated a few months ago are now moving ahead and beginning to blossom. Some shifts—along with the addition of an imaginative and creative idea or two—will help to get the momentum moving forward again. And your other ventures will likely move along, too. This is a great month for any sort of self-improvement, artistic creativity, or emotional self-expression. Avoid succumbing to gossip now, as it’ll only come back to haunt you. Understand that June brings you some potential opportunities to teach, advise, or entertain. If you feel called in this direction, go all in.
If you’re having a 7 Personal Year June is a 4 Month:
Do you hear your calling? This year your soul is beckoning…practically begging to be heard. You’ll feel as though your life has a deep and profound resonance for you—from the simplest of interactions to the more complex decisions. Choose to engage and work on your deepest sense of who you truly are and commit to your own personal evolution. Know that June brings you into a more “sensible” state of mind, while still demanding some practicality. This is a month where you’ll be met with a need for concerted effort and hard work. Plus, you’ll be setting up some cornerstones and foundations for future endeavors. Take care of these duties now, but don’t overdo it. Stay on track with your studies and research and take care of any practical matters, particularly on or around June 4th. Firm up the foundations underlying your most significant interests. Since a 4 Month often has to do with the material world—including real estate and legal matters—make sure to sign contracts, agreements, or other papers during the week of June 9th.
If you’re having an 8 Personal Year June is a 5 Month:
This is your time to shine! It’s a “reap what you’ve sown” year for you, which can manifest in myriad ways—much of it financial. And yet, it’s also a year where personal power is tested and honed, where management and organization are key, and where effort and focus yield success. This month, take some significant action to expand your horizons or advance your enterprises. Initiate some helpful changes around June 7th, or take advantage of some changes started by others. The vibration of the 5 Month brings in some frenetic energy that could be welcome respite from the slow-and-steady demands of May. Anything that allows you to collide with new and progressive people and ideas will aid your continued forward movement for the rest of the year. Change is the only constant, and you’ll be tested in your ability to embrace change and recalibrate with renewed success and achievement. Freedom is your mantra this month, and—if you did the foundational work you needed to do in May—you can truly bask in the accomplishments you achieve right now. You deserve a break from all the action and effort you’re putting in. This is a perfect month to schedule a vacation, or a business trip mixed with some personal time.
If you’re having a 9 Personal Year June is a 6 Month:
Your 9 Personal Year is an intense one. Some feel it as a slow brewing, deep down inside…while others experience it as a huge cosmic slap-in-the-face. Try to tempe this intensity by focusing on the most optimal and positive elements this year can bring to you. This is a completion—a door closing. With that, there’s a fulfillment of some of your dreams now. Try not to look at this closing door as a failure or a sad experience. Instead, it’s a reward for all you’ve done and accomplished over the past eight years. By the time you step through to the other side of this door come next year, you’ll be open to new opportunities and interests in your life. June will bring some heightened family responsibilities and home-based duties your way, but don’t worry, i’s all part of the master plan. Don’t overdo and over-give this month. The trick is to balance your sense of responsibility and service to others by tending to your own needs, first. You’ll have more to give when you set up healthy boundaries. And remember to ask for help and support when you need it. June is also a great month to tend to your garden or complete that DIY home improvement project.

June Monthly Horoscope: From Chaos to Clarity
The planets are talking to each other—loudly—in June. It might take a little work to uncross their wires, but we’ll be better people once we do. Or here’s hoping!
It’s getting noisy in here! Or is that just all the voices in your head talking? With the Sun in expressive, analytical, multi-everything Gemini until June 20, our minds are on overdrive and our juggling skills are in high demand. We’re being pulled like pizza dough in every direction, and the stretch can be uncomfortable to say the least.
This tugging and resisting reaches a fever pitch on June 3, when the stars lock into a Grand Mutable Cross —a rare four-way showdown that involves the Sun and Venus in Gemini, Jupiter in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces. While they won’t all be at the exact same degree, their proximity is close enough for us to feel the intensity of their dueling demands. If you find yourself pushed to the brink, this could be your wakeup call: It’s time to set some boundaries, prioritize or take on less. This Grand Cross echoes a similar one that fell on May 8 (Mother’s Day), so you may see some recurring themes.
The June 4 Gemini new moon arrives not a moment too soon, helping us turn a fresh page and sparking productive dialogue. Since this new moon is conjunct harmonious Venus, it won’t be long before proverbial olive branches are extended. But again, be careful not to over-promise and under-deliver: this new moon will also oppose structured Saturn. Make sure you can back up your words with solid action.
This month brings two major aspects that can be felt throughout June: a tough Saturn-Neptune square and a barrier-breaking Jupiter-Pluto trine.
The square between Saturn and Neptune reaches its apex on June 17, and it’s a bit of a head trip. Saturn is all about establishing clear boundaries, while Neptune specializes in blurring them. How rigid should you be? How trusting is too trusting? Negotiating the line between tough love and gullible enabling will be our challenge. Saturn wants us to lean in, do the hard work, stick it out with grit and face “reality,” while dreamy Neptune tempts us to escape into denial. Sometimes ignorance IS bliss…after all, when we focus on our fears we can manifest them. Skeptical Saturn’s bumper sticker says “Seeing is believing,” while New Age Neptune’s says “Believing is seeing.”
Luckily, we have a lovely and harmonious trine between expansive Jupiter and transformational Jupiter, which reaches its peak on June 26. Both in stabilizing earth signs, their cosmic confab can shatter the glass ceiling around our work, money and material realities, or just break us free of any limiting beliefs and other ruts. This is the second of 2016’s two rare Jupiter-Pluto trines (the first was on March 16). After that, they won’t meet in a trine again until 2024.
June 20 is another power-packed day: the summer solstice, the Sun’s shift into emotional and nurturing Cancer, and the year’s rare second full moon in Sagittarius (the first was May 21). The Cancer Sun helps us settle into deep and secure roots, while the Sagittarius full moon inspires us to dream big and put our grandest visions out into the world.
The month ends with more great news: On June 29, energizer Mars ends a retrograde cycle that started on April 17, creating hair-raising conflicts, arguments, stalled ambitions and in some cases, laziness! Having the go-getter planet reverse course did not bode well for those spring fitness plans. And since it’s been backing through Scorpio since May 27, a sexy but not-so-trustworthy ex may have crept back into the picture. Whether you hopped into bed for a steamy reunion or just obsessed about this person in your head (and on late-night Google searched), the red planet powering forward should help turn your intense focus to the future instead of the past. Amen!

Astrotwins Weekly Horoscopes for May 30th thru June 5th, 2016
Should you hold on tighter or loosen your grip? This week, the answer is: Both. Planets assemble into two impactful formations this week—an auspicious Grand Earth Trine and a disorienting Grand Mutable Cross. Certain areas of life will flow beautifully, while others may flounder, forcing us to be flexible and forage for resources, support and stabilizing solutions.
The Grand Earth Trine—which essentially looks like a perfect, equilateral triangle being formed between three heavenly bodies—is at its most potent on Thursday, June 2: The players here are the security-loving Taurus moon, savvy Jupiter in Virgo and strategic Pluto in Capricorn. Because these are all earth signs, our focus turns to material world concerns like money, possessions, traditions and ethics. Those of us who have been working hard could finally hit that tipping point, enjoying a well-deserved windfall. Fortune favors the bold under this trine, so Thursday’s the day to pitch, present or position ourselves for a promotion. Ponder this: What do you actually consider valuable? This transit can help us create more of that, or lock down a greater sense of certainty with our jobs, incomes, and other assets. Cash isn’t the only currency, of course. The way we spend our time, and who we spend it with could also get an upgrade. Give those salt-of-the-earth types more points than the sparkleponies! (For more on Grand Earth Trines check out this article http://astrostyle.com/aspects/grand-trine/.)
While Grand Trines can bring ease, they can also make us a little complacent. We may lean towards the safe, easy and comfortable route instead of stretching our limits. Enter the Grand Mutable Cross—which involves planets forming a near-perfect square in the sky (http://astrostyle.com/aspects/grand-cross). (Or if you were to draw lines between the opposing pairs, it would look like a cross.) Warning: This ain’t no ice cream social, easy, breezy meet and greet! A Grand Cross can be combative, combustible and crazymaking! And with all the planets in mutable signs, there will be moments this week where we have to remind ourselves that the only thing constant is change. This Grand Cross, which is at its most potent on Friday the 3rd, will feature the Sun and Venus in whimsical Gemini opposing uptight Saturn in high-minded Sagittarius, plus foggy Neptune in Pisces opposing detail-obsessed Jupiter in Virgo. How to balance all these opposing and clashing energies? Let things move! And move more yourself—physically, emotionally, mentally! Grand Crosses push us to make long overdue changes; no more procrastinating! And these meltdown moments can be blessings in disguise. When thing falls apart, a portal to new possibilities opens. In the words of Lao Tzu, “When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.”
With all this tumult, Saturday’s new moon in Gemini will be like a breath of fresh air—and a kiss from Cupid, too, as this lunation falls at the exact same degree as romantic, artistic Venus in Gemini. Where there’s been struggle, embrace the power of partnership. Kindred spirits pop up like kale starts this week, and with social Venus in the mix, we could meet them at parties, cultural events or through our existing friend groups. Romantically, this new moon reminds us of the importance of being best friends with our lovers. If everyday life isn’t presenting common ground, stake some out! Initiate a shared venture, co-created project or adventurous plan for two. Solid Saturn will oppose this new moon, reminding us not to rush into any tag team efforts. As effervescent as people may be in a social setting, only time will tell if they have the character and commitment to back up their charm. Let connections evolve organically. The keepers will reveal themselves soon enough.
