Bike Polo Ride Tonight
Hey guys! Just a quick reminder that there is a bike polo ride tonight.Meet at Hayden Lawn at 8.45pm. We roll out at 9. FB Event Page InfoAZ Bike Polo group has invited the ASCC to come and play this Monday at 9:00 pm. In case you have never heard of Bike Polo before, it just like horse polo, minus the horses and class. This will be a fun opportunity to try some something new, equipment will be provided to us and they even will let us use their bikes. So just some tips, bring water, be prepared to fall, so bring a helmet, and be comfortable with riding with one hand! Other than that they have promised to take it easy on us. Be there or be a square!
Important Links
Hey Sun Devils!
Just wanted to put some important links out there for you guys...
First: ASU Alert System (bottom of ASU main page). If you haven't signed up for this yet, you should. Its good for getting notified about bomb threats, fires, and other potentially dangerous situations on campus (cause lets face it, the MU seems to be on fire every few months).
But jokes aside, sign up for the messages. They even have a twitter account.

Second: Bike Registration
ASU Bike Registration
National Bike Registration
It sucks to get a bike stolen. But, if your registered, ASU PD (as well as any other police department) can work to recover your bike more quickly!
For instance, say you report your bike stolen, and a police officer catches a guy walking near by with a few bikes in his possession. The cop can stop him and run the serials, but if its not in the database, then there is nothing the can use to make an arrest.
But if you are registered, the cop can make an arrest. And if you don't even know that your bike has been stolen, the cop can simply call you from the registration information.
Get registered. It will save you a headache.
Ok, that's it. Ride Safe guys!
Anil - ASCC Secretary
A boy left his bike chained to a tree when he went away to war in 1914. He never returned, leaving the tree no choice but to grow around the bike.
A few photos from the Papago Park Ride Meet.
Seriously … be aware of how you lock your bike.
want …
Tomorrow (Wednesday 31st August), we are planning a ride to Papago Park. We will meet like last time, 5:45 at Hayden lawn, and leave around 6 pm. This should be a shorter ride than last time, but be aware there are hilly sections to this ride. It shouldn't be too strenuous, but bring some water. It is also going to be mostly on the paved sections around the park, so any bike will work.
