A year ago today this little guy came into our lives. The last year has been full of smiles, cuddles, and barooing. There's been splashing and splooting. We've had our share of challenges and triumphs. Then there was that one time his corgi stubbornness kicked in and he "malfunctioned" on our walk. I wouldn't trade him for the world. Happy Gotcha Day to this goofy, sweet and ruggedly handsome boy! ❤️

Biting

I need some advice,

illy didn’t really start mouthing/biting on people until she started teething. she bites on fingers/hands and sometimes tries to grab ankles. I’ve tried telling her no, I’ve tried giving her a toy instead or distracting her, I’ve tried the “ow,” and I’ve even tried a dab of hot sauce (but she likes it!). I don’t know what to do.

She’s not being aggressive and it’s probably for attention, but now that she’s not teething, she’s still trying to do it and I want to break her of it before it becomes a forever habit. I don’t want her chewing on me, or guests, or future children.

Any ideas on what else I can try?

Opal was never very mouthy, so I actually don’t have any helpful advice. Our followers might have something though!

Ollie has always been mouthy. I think it has to do with wanting attention as well. I stand up and turn away or walk away from him. Make a connection that biting makes the attention go away.
