The Law of the Land
Hi, I’m Genki. I’ve been here for over ten years. I’m pretty lax about rules, but here they are. I am over the age of 18, and thus will not interact with minors.
Formatting
I don’t do heavy formatting. If you do, that’s fine. I like legibility in my threads. My right eye is bad, and it makes it hard to read a lot of current atheistic trends. If your response is unreadable due to formatting, I will ask you to fix it nicely. If I have to keep asking you, I will drop you. This includes giant images that are larger than your reply, or take up more than half an inch of my screen.
I am not my muse
Simple as that. Meredith, and any other OCs I have on here, sometimes share similar beliefs, but not always. Meredith is an idiot. She grew up alone and will state her unbridled opinion. ABSOLUTELY feel free to yell, slap, or whatever your muse would do if she did something to offend them. If the content of her speech does legitimately offend/hurt the mun, don’t be afraid to tell me. We’re here for fun.
Anon is a privilege
I will revoke it at any time for any reason of my choosing. Anon hate will not be tolerated on here. I’m fine with pretty much anything on anon though. You want to send my character hints through anon? Go for it. Make bad puns at her? Absolutely. I live for silly anons.
Shipping
I’m open to shipping with others. The character is Demisexual, thus will require chemistry to even consider that. Platonic shipping, however, is the best and I am totally down for BFFs all the time. She is, however, still very closed off to strangers in most situations.
Who I will RP with
...This is an OC blog, of course I’m open to OCs. Just please make sure you have an about page that is legible. Doesn’t need to be lengthy, just make sure people can read it. I sometimes tend to be a little semi-selective, usually because our muses didn’t click, or I can’t find a plausible reason for them to meet.
Things I will not tolerate are:
Metagaming/God-modding
Smut hunting
Anon hate (as mentioned before)
Disrespecting the mun
Minors for legal reasons
This blog follows the schedule of the year
Meaning, if it’s Winter in real life, it’s winter on here. Her products will also often change with what is in season at the time. During winter months, it’s hard for her to leave the mountain. During springtime she tends to get shorter with people as her life suddenly becomes hectic.
NSFW material
There will be gore, hard themes, violence, and other stuff that might be triggering to some. You have been warned. As stated previously, if something upsets you, feel free to message me about it, I swear I will not bite.
That being said, I also refuse to RP with minors. This is for legal reasons.
SMUT
Absolutely never again. If anything like that happens, it will be fade to black. No exceptions.
Plotting
9/10 times I’m down for whatever idea you have. You want a silly B movie plot then go for it.
Speed
I am slow. I have a lot of serious health issues, I don’t mean to drop your thread, or be short with you. There are weeks when I simply cannot function, and just go to sleep for 20 hours a day until I feel better.
Adding to this, sometimes I goof up and make mistakes. I’ll forget a rule, or be in a fugue state and generally sound like I’m drunk. I swear, I’m fine, this just happens from time to time, doctors are working on figuring out why. I am sorry in advance. It’s rare, but it happens.
I am not a prompt source
I know, I know, reblog karma is dumb, and it puts pressure on people to blah blah, I don’t care. If it’s so difficult for you to just send a little thing in from the prompt list you reblogged from me, then just go to the actual source. That’s not hard. It’s two extra clicks, if even that.
Length
I do not care if you do not match my length. I know the metaphor is overused, but it’s not the size that matters, it's how you use it. Sometimes my replies are two sentences, sometimes they are twenty paragraphs. But every single one generally follows a formula.
React -> Dialogue -> Move
Muse reacts to what was just said/done. Second, they either think about it, respond verbally, or the narrative takes over to help convey what the muse is thinking/feeling, even if they are doing/saying something else. Finally, and the most important part, is to move the story along.
Do not just have your muse react to what mine is doing/saying, then stand there like a cardboard cutout. Even with an unconscious muse, the narrative, extra characters, one time npcs, lots of things can be implemented to move the plot along.
If you want help with learning how to do this, I am more than willing to help. Communication is key!!
If you have read this, and understand it, send an ask saying “I’d like the Fables Special”.
Note: I do not “answer” these asks, as I have horrible memory...so they just sit in my inbox. I did have a spreadsheet but its MIA :(
