another another musing in this household, and it's actually a thought ive had been spinning around in my head from weeks ago but-

the Ivory Wraith and Gwylan has parallels that I wonder if pguy intended it or it's just a rare coincidence (nothing is actually rare, there's many instances that points to it.)

the ivory wraith is a manifestation of all the victim's memories during the ritual to summon auriga that is given thought and a shape, the last victim - the acolyte, clanha - took the image of them, hence the attachment/obsession with the necklace and is terribly hateful, longing, and vain being that isn't human. most of its actions are just a mime to its last memory before it came to be. it exist solely through the beliefs of people and it clings to their memories.

gwylan's lineage is years upon years of knowledge and memories collected from different lifetime in different bodies. but this tree is always bound to suffer to contain the poison that leaks from the holes. this duty is a heavy one, but what's more heavier is a blackened heart that continues to beat and sing of love despite knowing the pain when the song ends and only silence follows after.

both being a vessel of memories, of extraordinary knowledge that isn't recorded or completely forgotten. both suffered a great deal with the children of auriga and the temple itself. many years has already passed, and yet they continue to exist and watch as the town rises and fall to a new era. Ivory Wraith knows of their nest and the birds that used to live there, Gwylan acknowledges it's existence and keeps their distance. They both know of loneliness.

Two beings that are bound in the forest and in the lake. A parallel between, but at times, it's like looking at a mirror.

Ommmmgggggg no one told me... you can get possessed by the wraith and then end up going to Gwylan's house for tea while possessed. This is my single favorite scene!!
