today’s prayer: please Lord, gladden our hearts
( proverbs 15:13)
“A heart that trusts the Lord is a heart at peace.”
— Kim Walker (via mishspalafox)
Every single thing in your life is something to talk to God about.
People please, I cannot stress this enough: READ YOUR BIBLE AND DON'T JUST TAKE WHATEVER ANYBODY SAYS AS TRUTH, TEST IT AGAINST THE WORD OF GOD & TEST THEIR SPIRITS. Scripture says that God's people perish for a lack of knowledge. Gosh.
Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be... You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath. We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it. And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.
Psalm 39:4-7
We don’t know how many days we have left. How we spend them is critical. The question is, will we live those days for Christ? If we do, He will make our lives extraordinary. He will make our life worth living!
So, God, we pray that you would give us a right perspective of our lives. Help us to live today in light of eternity, and help us, we pray, to measure our days. To make them count for Your glory. In Jesus'name, Amen.
Do not glory in your own faith, your own feelings, your own knowledge, or your own diligence. Glory in nothing but Christ
