STILL ALIVE YEP!
This mun is alive and wel! I might be looking into coming back to the RP scene sometime soon so ayyyy that’s cool!
In the meantime, you can find me @needshea1ing (personal blog) and @pinesdweller (art blog)! I’m trying to muster the energy to come back to this blog and the muse has been slowly coming back, so hopefully I’ll be able to do a big cleanup and start writing again with you wonderful folks!
Nostalgia muse doodle! Gosh tho when will my Bobby muse come back from wAR I miss him a lot actually ;v; I always portrayed him more snarky than his canon counterpart, and god I had a blast rping him and meeting fronds in the AA fandom ;v; I’ll come back to his blog when I got more time on my hands, most probably when school will be over for good ;v;

“…Well.” Simon found himself at a loss of words, again. “I’m afraid I haven’t the slightest clue.” But his heart was at ease, as if a huge weight has been lifted off his chest. The momentary awkwardness was but a mere minor setback, nothing that could ruin this joyous occasion. “However, I would like to try this.”
And it was certainly not enough to stop from leaning closer and pressing a kiss on Bobby’s lips. It was brief, but sweet and surprisingly gentle. Before the other could react, he pulled back and joined their hands together again, letting a smirk play upon his lips.
While his heart had jumped in his chest at the short contact of lips against his own, it had been much too quick for the detective to react, or to return the kiss in any way. It had still been good, something he had been waiting for for a long time. Definitely worth the wait, in any case.
A tiny smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he spoke.
“Psh. That was unjust, I couldn’t even give you anything back, you piece of crap.” They might have become an item, yes, but he wouldn’t change his behavior around Simon because of that. That’d make the whole thing fail, no?
He still smiled as he brought their hands up, pressing a kiss on Simon’s fingers. It wasn’t the lips, right, but the message didn’t change one bit.

His breath caught. “Of course it would make me happy,” he answered immediately, taking one of his hands and squeezing them gently. Did Bobby truly think he’d enter a relationship without considering his own wants and needs? He wasn’t that masochistic. “If it would make you happy as well.” He shook his head, only to meet his gaze again–giving a small smile. “Look at us… we’re both fools.”
“Well. You said it yourself. Fool bright. I fit the description pretty well, don’t I?”
Bobby had been in a number of relationships in the past, but nothing could really compare to how he felt at the moment. His hands squeezed back, lightly, as he smiled. His heart was beating hard, so hard it felt like it’d break out of his chest -- and what, do a little dance on the floor? Maybe. He was still too shy to bust out a move and try to kiss Simon like that, but...
“So. Are you free tomorrow, after the trial? We could. I don’t know. Go to the movies, or dinner, or... something, anything.” Not as friends, you know. More like. Together, together.

Lifting his eyes, he was surprised to see the other’s blush– it was darker than his own. He cleared his throat, before taking a step closer to stare down at the slightly shorter man.
“If… you’ll still have me. I realize that it has been quite a while and your feelings may have changed since then. I also… realize I have been unclear with my intentions, because I did know what to make of them, and ah, erm. I was also unsure how our relationship would progress if I had…”
He was rambling now, stumbling over words and no doubt, making a fool out of himself. He tugged at his cuffs wand his eyes darted nervously to the side, silently pleading for help.
Did he hear well? Did he really... hear this the right way? His brain wasn’t playing tricks on him, now was it?
Out of a reflex more than anything, he ghosted a hand on the other’s forearm, fingers brushing in a would-be reassuring touch. Just to show he was there, and had no intention to leave.
“Of course I would have you.” His touch was there again, this time more confident on Simon’s shoulder. Friendly, open. “My feelings are the same, and...”
“Concerning a relationship’s progress, I guess only time can tell.” He had regained his footing. “If it makes you happy, I am more than willing to try.”

“Yes, but… some of the best things in life are unplanned, such is the way of fate, and in meeting you.”
Simon was looking at anywhere but him.
He felt his cheeks heat up. What he said was absolutely cringe-worthy, but who was when he was not totally honest? He did give the other man’s confession a lot of thought. No, his words did not cause him to spend many sleepless nights tossing or turning. He did enough of that without Fulbright’s help. However, time had helped him grow accustomed to the idea of being someone’s… partner. He quite liked the idea of that, if only for a fleeting moment.
Whether it would it last or not, it mattered not. He always prepared himself for rejection. It was any sign of acceptance that would make his heart race and hands shake with unease.
“You’re... flattering me, now.”
A red flush was painted all over his cheeks as he looked back at Simon. He could return this to him a million times. He had been lucky, extremely lucky. Still, what Simon wanted out of this conversation wasn’t crystal clear. Such declarations could mean romantic intent, yes, but also deep friendship. And with how their relationship currently was... Bobby couldn’t make the guess.
He, however, could still push in a direction or another. Things hadn’t changed on his end.
“I know it was months ago, but if you want... I. Uhm. I am still willing to give it a try. You know.”
How to… broach the subject without launching himself towards downward spiral. He knew not, but it was worth the risk. He let out a sigh, looking forlorn. Folding his hands and unfolding them behind him, taking a couple of long pauses to slowly gather his thoughts.
Bobby deserved an answer and it was about time he stopped playing stupid.
“I have thought about what you said, months prior, about your inclinations towards me.”
Oopf. There it was. The direct hit. Bobby knew he should probably not have been honest with this subject. Since he had done it, he had been... free from a secret, yes, but new questions had been brought on the table. He knew it was probably the same for Simon, and hoped that thoughts and what if’s hadn’t plagued him too much...
“O-oh.” He took a deep breath. He wanted to hear what Simon had to say before melting into a puddle of apologies. How he hadn’t thought about everything that could happen around. Conflicts of interests. Lack of professionalism. And so on. But at the same time... this would mean closure, and moving on with anything they decided to go with, be it positive or negative.
“I... yeah. It was... sudden, wasn’t it?”
“Well, yes, that was quite reckless of you when you had leapt out of that cop car right before it was set ablaze. I nearly had a bloody heart attack, I’ll have you know.” He clutched his chest for good measure, letting some of his anxiety show. “Which brings me to my… next point, I suppose. …About us.”
“Hey, I’m alive now, aren’t I? It was not too bad, just a bit... too hot, even for Californian summer.”
Which led to the next point. Suddenly, his nervousness was of an entire different kind.
“About us, eh. I see.” Gloved hands joined together, to avoid nervously playing with everything and anything they could catch. “What about it?”

“Bobby, we need to talk.”
“Simon?” He poked his fingers together, knowing what it was all about. Sure. He knew.
“If it’s about being too reckless when it comes to tracking and arresting potentially dangerous guys, I’ve already earned my lesson... I think.”
“Someone kill me I can’t feel my body anymore--”
Guess who overdid it at the gym. Again.
//I guess telling people that this Bobby here is a more serious take on him/a post-DD sequestration AU. Just a little heads up, he is not exactly going to yell ‘In Justice we trust!’ at every single second. This has been a PSA.
“Oh, it is procureur indeed! Prosecutie is just a pun, Bobby.“ Alice explained. She thought about quiting introducing herself as a ‘prosecutie’, though she kept it everytime. She got used to it and loved seeing people’s reactions to that dumb pun.
"Mr. Blackquill? Oui, I met him indeed. I like him!”
“Alzough I’m not so sure if he likes me too… “ She added quietly.
“I am very much aware of puns, thank you.” He cringed a little on the inside, trying not to show too much. Ever since someone had used his own appearance and practiced puns in the mirror while he was in the same room, it was needless to say that his interest for that one form of humor had died down.
“I hope you don’t introduce yourself like that to your clients. It wouldn’t be the best way to make them comfortable, if you catch my drift.” Professionalism was expected from people in both the legal and judicial system. He had revised his own modus operandi, opting for something, albeit less friendly, more professional. It seemed to put people at ease, more than the goofy detective image he used to project.
“But ah, yes. Simon is like that, I guess. A bit hard to gauge and to approach at first, but...” He couldn’t hide the fondness in his tone, nor the entire change in his expression to something softer. “He’s worth knowing, if you can deal with someone being a little rough around the edges.”
❝ ……………Hmph. ……Enough jabbering. Get on with it, already. ❞
“O-oh… I see… I apologize, I didn’t know.“ Alice said, looking down the floor. Though, she raised her head to look at the man quickly.
"My name is Alice! I’m a new prosecutie, here. I arrived straight from France!” she explained with a grin. “It’s nice to meet you, Bobby!” She took some steps forward and greeted the man French way, kissing his cheeks.
“Prose-whatnow? I thought the French word for that was procureur...” He gave a small shake of the head, unsure of how he could consider that title. People would not take him seriously, ever, if he started introducing himself as a homicide ‘detecutie’. He still accepted the greeting, similar to how his friend’s family used to welcome him when he was still a freshman in the NYPD’s police academy.
“Well, welcome to LA. I work in collaboration with Prosecutor Blackquill, as his partnered detective. You might have met him at the prosecutor’s office.”
