I wasn't sure if I was supposed to post a picture of the last project if it was not a video or something digital, so just in case, here it is. Matt, thanks for a great class.

"Experience is Overrated"
Statement # 6
The title of the project is “Experience is Overrated”. At first I was going to list a bunch of things we have been told that we are supposed to aspire to, but in the end I decided to concentrate on one. The main reason for doing this was to not dilute the meme. It was also a way to play with words and symmetry. Another reason was that of all the things I wanted to list, experience stuck out after learning that some of the biggest companies in the world today were started by twenty-somethings and some of them were college dropouts! Microsoft, Apple, Google, Facebook, Tweeter, Yahoo, the list goes on.
To quote Einstein, "Imagination is more important than knowledge"
Reading response # 6
I have to admit that reading Paul Chan’s “What Art is and where it belongs” was not only difficult, but also, as much as I tried to follow his thinking, it felt more like I was reading the rambling jumbled thoughts of somebody that has just smoked marijuana! Nothing made sense. For instance, he ends his second paragraph stating that it had never occurred to him that art belonged in a home. Then close to the end he states just the opposite, that art does not belong in a home! So, which is it? In between he goes on a rant about how art is not a thing, but something less and more than a thing at the same time. He follows that with some stuff about freedom, reconciliation, belonging, Philosophy, the economy, marketing, industry, etc., etc. Only to conclude that Art is, and has been many things! And that for art to become art, it must be perfectly at home, nowhere! What?? Maybe I missed something, but I believe the opposite is true. Life itself is Art, and just living is Art. Then, the only logical conclusion is that Art is everything and it belongs everywhere.
I couldn't match this picture to a title on the list. It could be "361/2 Exposures, 5 nights, 4 Days" or "Spiritual Appropriation". Sorry about it
