I ask myself why I find it so hard to move on.
Maybe it’s because my heart rebels against the idea of forgetting you.
“Her heart was made of liquid sunsets.”
- Virginia Wolfe
and his was pure moon dust.
you wake up when the sun rises,
but by that time,
i’ve already expressed my deepest fears,
had two cups of coffee,
held myself in my own arms,
and painted the picture of a different lover.
Bitches be like “fuck school” and then do all of their schoolwork anyways because they’re terrified of failure.
It’s me. I’m bitches
We write down made-up stories to tell the truths we wish we could say out loud.
so many songs to listen to. so many books to read. so many things to watch. so much stuff to write. i think i will sit here and decompose

APHRODITE
Goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and passion. Her main powers catered towards love and desire which allowed her to easily seduce any person of her choosing. She was the subject and model for the famous sculpture 'Venus de Milo'. Aphrodite was directly responsible for the Trojan war. She sided with the Trojans in the Trojan War because Paris and her son, the hero Aeneas, were Trojans. She also persuaded the god of war, Ares, to support Troy during the war. In book III of Homer's Iliad, it is told that Aphrodite eventually saves Paris when Menelaus is about to kill him.
someone please educate me on greek mythology.
it seems my obsession when i was younger has dissipated from my memory.

What other people think Dark Academia is: Pretentious rich white people who are actual geniuses, know 10 languages, have 5 research papers published, are narcissistic assholes with a nicotine addiction, etc.
What Dark Academia actually is: Young people who were told they were smart when they were little, tied their entire self worth to that, and are now trying to motivate themselves to actually do well in school, having the fourth mental breakdown this week while trying to finish 6 overdue assignments and writing a poem/story at the same time to help themselves cope as they keep getting distracted by all the books they want to read and the language/instrument they want to learn while wearing turtlenecks and tweed for the aesthetic and who are on their third cup of tea/coffee of the day.
don’t forget the overhwhelming need to escape to Europe and sit in a dimly lit library with the smell of wonder and ink, with coffe/tea on our lips.
