āIn the the kitchen with your wifeās cooking, if youāre man enough to wake up and go get it.ā
Can you uh, can you let me put clothes on?
groovekinnon:
āFive and fifty all at the same time.ā
Whereās my present?
caradocdearborns:
Caradoc couldnāt get his grip on the finer details of Frankās speech, but he was too tired to try. The weekend had been difficult, and he knew it was only going to get worse. He surrendered with a sigh.
āWhatever you have to do to stop this.ā
Come back if you need to. Please, anytime.Ā
groovekinnon:
āNot long enough.ā
Iām--Ā
Quite basically five. That isnāt giving me much.Ā
caradocdearborns:
āSo letās.ā
All Iām saying is itās going to have to get public for me.Ā
caradocdearborns:
āThat we need to change, yes, but with you talking out of your ass about this, that, and the other with no real explanation but some vague name droppingāā
āWhat have you got up your sleeve, Frank?ā
All I want is the option to fight fire with fire.Ā
groovekinnon:
āItās not the nostalgia, itās the old man thing. You have to be young for a wee bit at least, or you wonāt have much to be nostalgic about later, yeah?ā
I was.Ā
caradocdearborns:
āIām making you nervous?ā
How am I making you nervous? You only just said you agreed with me.Ā
groovekinnon:
āYou make me sad sometimes.ā
Nostalgia is disgusting, I know.
groovekinnon:
āDonāt remind me.ā
I donāt think Iāve slept this late in that long.Ā
caradocdearborns:
Please donāt look at me that way, it makes me nervous.
caradocdearborns:
āYouāre already an Auror. What more can you do?ā
I can risk losing the trust of people who are already wary of the Ministry.
Iām not saying it isnāt an easy choice.Ā
groovekinnon:
āBut itās your golden year, bampot.ā
Itās been a long time since weāve seen one of those, hmm?Ā
groovekinnon:
āOn forgetting, or remembering?ā
Forgetting.
IT ME.Ā
Morning or night person? Morning. Iām up at 6:30 to 7 AM whether Iād like to be or not, though I used to be a super late night person and sometimes still can be. I donāt need a whole lot of sleep. But we got old one day awhile back and late nights started to feel lonely, and then I got a job that wasnāt freelance and then my girls started school and then I started falling asleep through films and books like a Frank Longbottom and couldnāt even handle staying up to whine about my nights being lonely. Favorite pizza topping?
Kidding. All pizza, all beef, all pepperoni, all red onion.Ā
Your zodiac sign? Sagittarius. Itās suited me well.
Your Hogwarts house? Once upon a time, I was (without any doubt) a Ravenclaw. Every single Pottermore quiz Iāve ever taken put me there, every piece of merchandise Iāve ever bought myself is Ravenclaw. But these days, after years and years and a million changes, I donāt feel like I particularly fit anywhere at Hogwarts. Maybe I fit everywhere. Havenāt figured it out yet. No idea. I can tell you though that Iām a Thunderbird, up and down and backward and forward and sideways and drunk.Ā
Do you like a lot of ice in your drinks or a little? Enough to cool it off, a lot if itās the soft pebble ice.
What song is the one song you know every word to without thinking about it? Television - Jackās Mannequin. First song that popped into my head.Ā Too hot or too cold? Too cold. I live in a place where itās in the 110ā²s in the summer and being this much closer to the sun at elevation, itās ridiculous. Itās several -10ā²s in the winter. Iāll take 70 and deal with anything below. You can always put more clothes on, but you canāt always take more off.Ā
If you had to pick a fictional universe to live in, other than Harry Potter, what would you pick? I WANNA BE A POWER RANGER TOO
Coffee or Tea? Coffee. Jamaican, sweet italian creme, no sugar. Red fruity teas. How about an Ocean Water?Ā
Cold Pizza for Breakfast or Breakfast for Dinner? Breakfast for dinner.Ā
Whatās your aesthetic? (have fun with this, be it just answering a picspam, a pinterest board go nuts)
Well, that was fun. If youāre still interested, hereās my about me tag. If youāre that bored, hereās Bethās about Dani tag, which is better than my tag.Ā And if youāre crazy, hereās the pinterest I really need to redo.Ā
If you encountered a boggart what form would it take? Iād like to know that one myself.Ā
What Hogwarts subject do you think youād excel at? Iād like to say Astronomy, I know itād be Herbology.Ā Butterbeer or Firewhiskey? Fireball whiskey. Whisky. Canadian.Ā
With which fictional character do you feel you most identify? Oh man. Yzma.Ā
With which character from War is Kind do you feel most identify? Out of my characters Iād say that out of all of them in WIK Iām most like Bertie, but thereās a little bit of me in every character I play. Iām also a lot like Gawain. Like, a lot like Gawain. Iāve got a lot of Travers in me, too. Fuck.Ā
Donāt tell anyone that.Ā
groovekinnon:
When Marlene poked her head through Frank and Aliceās bedroom door at five-thirty on Sunday morning, she was surprised to find that Frank was still in bed. How a man who routinely woke up at four-thirty every morning, and whose wife was cooking him a luxurious breakfast in the other room that could be smelt all the way from China, could still be fast asleep, was beside even her, a girl who had known said man for the past twenty-three years.
No, make that twenty-four.
Once she had caught the breath sheād lost in the run, pounce, and tackle, and had made sure that Frank was finally awake, she spoke. āYou forgot your own birthday, didnāt you?ā
I had planned-- on it.Ā
groovekinnon:
buckoff-potter:
āDonāt go getting all soppy.ā
āIām not, I justā Iām the odd man out now. Iāll be the fifth wheel, if you let me.ā
You say that like Alice and Lily didnāt make the fourth and fifth. Poor girls.Ā
